    New subscriber here. Really enjoyed your comments concerning fear etc. I'm 75 but i remember my father always told me to remember the learning process. Learn to crawl before you walk and walk before you run. Looking forward to your content.. Blessings!

    You are right Ronnie. The pursuit of perfection and fear of failure is often the main obstacle. It is thus in my case. Thank you for your motivational comments!! Keep your videos coming!!

    Great message. Ive got a very small shop and mainly do smaller projects. I enjoy the peace woodworking provides and I rarely sell anything. Most everything is given away to anyone that may want it. It's the joy of being in the woodshop for me.

    Great stuff, Ronnie. As a young girl in ‘60s I remember our pool had a diving board so high it was called the Hell Diver. I never made it to the steps of that thing. Love your videos. They are so encouraging. Maybe one day you can do one on overcoming a fear of table saws. I bought a Delta and after watching videos of kickback and other things, I’m very scared of it. Used it a handful of times. I have made and sold things on Marketplace using other tools though. Keep up the good work!

      Thanks! I was leery of using the table saw too. Watch a lot of videos about using them and one thing I can emphasize is use a push stick that completely lays down on the piece you are cutting, not those skinny ones where the point is the only part on the wood. This is to help reduce the risk of the piece kicking back

    Hola! 🖐Excellent video! Thank you for sharing your experience and insights about overcoming fear. I began an IG account in 2022 and "hit it hard" at the beginning of the year then dipped after to take a break. I attempted a "comeback" then got slapped with some reality, you know life happens. I'm launching again, version 3.0 right - haha😂 . This video and your words are inspiring to me and have confirmed for me that it's not about trying but rather "taking action". Wishing you much success and look forward to watching more of your videos. Take care and have a good one, Adios!👊

    Love your encouragement. My down fall is trying to get Social media working for me or my wood shop bossiness and not use it as excuse to not move forward on projects

    Thanks for your videos is amazingly great for encouraging people to do woodwork. What's holding me up is lm living in an apartment with no space for a shop to work on. Any suggestions on what to do in my situation? I can't afford a house at the moment.

    The scammers on FB marketplace are definitely rough, still trying to sell my first piece, it’s been a couple weeks and 20+ scammer wasting my time and trying to get my information. I gotta figure out a better way to sell stuff, I really enjoy building, but this isn’t worth it at this point.

    • @RonniesWorkshop
      @RonniesWorkshop  4 месяца назад +1

      I would encourage you to push through with this first piece. Ignore the scammers, make sure your product is something people want, that it is priced competitively, and you have good photos. If you have to lower your price maybe that's what you need to do. You could be 1 viewer away from that first sale. See it through, at least on this one. Then, if you decide it's not for you, don't go that route any longer. You don't want to look back and wonder if it would have worked or not. I know it works for me, so I know it CAN work. You just need to figure out what it takes on your end.

      Thanks Ronnie, I gonna keep at it, I don’t understand why someone begs you to hold it then no shows, I’ve moved to first come first serve. I really happy with the piece I’ve made, I’m sure whoever inevitably buys it will be really happy.
