    The Storyteller is fantastic. I love Jodi Picoult and that one is my fave!❤️

    I also may also be picking up The Secret Garden in March as well, it would be my third read through but it really feels like time!

    For cozy/nostalgic I’m currently reading Call of the Penguins by Hazel Prior. Penguins make me think cozy. Also, I tend to mood read the prompts out of order, lol.

    The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes is the first collection of his short stories, definitely start there!

    I feel like every booktuber I watch eventually reveals they are a marketing major which is so weird cause that's what I majored in... can't escape

      Haha, really?! I haven't seen that from many, but I wouldn't be surprised.

    I recently re-read "The Secret Garden", but it didn't live up to my memories from reading it at age 7, about 56 years ago. I read the Penguin Black Classics version of "The Count of Monte Cristo", about 4 years ago and loved it.

      I imagine it being more impactful at a younger age. I kind of wish I read it for the first time when I was a kid, but never too late to start! I think that’s the edition I’m going to be purchasing soon of the Count of Monte Cristo!

      Yes to Daphne du Maurier! Jamaica Inn is next on my list for books by her. I’ve read the same two as you so far.

    What a great idea! I may try to participate in a few of these challenges myself. I love The Bookwoman of Troublesome Creek and try to recommend if often and am looking forward to the sequel this year. When I think of a cozy read, I think of a small town life. One I’ve read in the past and enjoyed is At Home in Mitford-Jan Karon.
    Hope you enjoy the books in your stack and find some new favs!📚

      Thank you for that recommendation, Kim! I agree, small town vibes is also very cozy and I would love to read more books in that setting.

      I just watched it! You have some great picks! Happy reading to you too. My Heart is a Chainsaw is too scary for me, haha. I'll see how Jar of Hearts goes unless I find something else that could work by then.

    Ooh, I read Baker's Secret a couple years ago, and it is gripping!

      Oh yay! I love when “gripping” is used to describe a book, so I’m looking forward to it!

    Your Secret Garden copy is gorgeous! I like your possibilities! I read my January selection already 😅 Out of the Silent Planet . I want to get the Mark Sullivan book for my husband for his birthday as he like the Scarlet title! I’m using a Middle Grade book with skeleton in the title or rereading Till We Have Faces for the Body Part. 😅 Z would be hard, I have a V, so 😂!

    • @GloriaZThompson
      @GloriaZThompson  2 года назад

      I've only heard great things about Mark Sullivan, so can't wait to pick one of his books up.
      Oh good idea for "skeleton" and "face" -- those are easier words to look out for. I may scan my TBR for that.

    That was fun to watch. I just finished The Wives and going to start No Exit tomorrow . I ordered 2 hardcovers today based on recommendations. I’m Curious if you have read them . I Finding Freedom by Erin French and Four Winds by Kristen Hannah .

    • @GloriaZThompson
      @GloriaZThompson  2 года назад

      Thanks Cindy! I hope you like No Exit --- one of my favorites! I've read The Four Winds and enjoyed it overall, but wasn't a favorite historical fiction. It was honestly just a bit too depressing for me, but that makes sense since it's set during The Great Depression. Finding Freedom looks so good! I added it to my TBR!

    I am participating in this challenge this year. I read The Hidden Side by Heidi Chivahroli for the quiet prompt. I'm also reading The Midnight Library by Matt ? I forget his last name.
