Love this! I just sold my trap bar a few weeks and suggested this to the buyer. I guess if you made two of them for each side, it would balance better and add 14 lbs which is closer to a nice round number.
Finally! Been waiting for this tutorial. One question regarding the jack. Why is it on the bar whilst you lift? Is it not possible to remove it and then clip it on after lifting? Thanks in advance.
Thanks! I totally thought it could be a sellable product but there wasn’t much interest in it, so I put it out here as a tutorial. Glad you enjoyed it!
This is awesome. Any issues with it tipping over when used as storage? My ceiling is so low I can't stand my Rogue TB1 upright and this is the best non wall storage I've seen so long as it doesnt tip.
I can use a jack with my trap bar, but this looks like a nicer way to have it on it's side more upright closer to the wall and out of the way when not in use... My trap bar is really heavy, and really long, so it's not the easiest thing to deal with when there's ceiling limitations and stuff. This looks pretty difficult to use with more than the first set of plates, especially if the trap bar is already heavy itself. If I had a non-jackable trap bar, I would use this for the first pair of plates, and then use a deadlift wedge for the rest.
Awesome, thank you! I did approach a few companies before posting this video. No one was interested in selling it but I am still open to the idea of you know anyone.
Great stuff as always! Very practical
Appreciate it bro, thanks!

Enjoyed watching the process.

Keep the hits coming!
Will do! Thanks for your support!

Yes, you can add and remove whenever you want. For me, it was easier to leave it on but it really boils down to what works for you.
Very cool project!!!
Thanks PJ!
This my guy, is genius.

@@KaizenDIYGym in the future for sure man, I just started specialty bars last year cause I found out about them. Got to head to Lowes now lol

No issues at all

It’s definitely a great storage option as well
Not a perfect design but it is a great idea. Wish I had the mental creativity to think of making these DIYs.
My thoughts exactly, it gets the job done
Не знаю какой ты спортсмен , но руки у тебя золотые , и голова не из жопы растет , браво
Thank you!
Hey buddy, any model to make a leg exercise machine?
Yes, check my videos. I have done a few leg machines.
What was the pin you used?
It’s called a hitch pin or clevis pin
Loading a trap bar with a few plates sucks major ass when you are training outside. This will make things way more comfortable
It makes a big difference!
What will he think up next?!
I have lots of ideas floating around in my brain. I just wish I had more time to devote to all of this.
The safety message…😂😂😂😂
I went all out for that one 😅
The 1”x8” is that actually 3/4” x 7.25”?
Usually a 1”x8” board is nominal. Just checking before I actually make it
Correct
@@KaizenDIYGymawesome thanks!!! Great design just what I needed
@@KaizenDIYGymwhere did you source the pin
Built mine tonight took some liberties with material I had but works great!!!
i just want to make it for storage!
That’s an awesome benefit of this design
This I will build
I’d love to see it when you’re done
I hit the like button even if I saw the furry at 1:18
That’s great man, thanks!
I think you could sell this one commercially.

You just stand on the bar and stand it up on its side
Cool! How does it stay up to load/unload weights?
My favorite trap bar hack is to use a barbel instead.
That’s definitely the easiest option
And yet you still have to pick it up to load the plates on each side...
