I agree, the color change you mentioned for the map presentation is a great idea! A slider for minumum driven distance would be nice instead of the 500km option.
Would be nice to see at least a percentage point increase in each version! Would be so clean haha but I'm sure some version(s) will fall a couple of points just from the circumstances it saw on the road, but let's hope for a CLEAN HIKE!!
for me, 12.3.4 seems to have trouble with lights. I had 1 time where it was going below speed limit until a light started to turn orange, then it sped up. I had to eventually push it through a red light because we would either have gone through a 2 second red light or stopped really, really harshly. The second time I approached a light which switched to orange we were so close to the light that we would have easily been able to get through but Tesla decided to break really hard. Also I don't like the behavior that Tesla now goes up to about 47MPH in a 50MPH zone with little other traffic around. So the picture is from a stop it accelerates really hard, then goes below speed limit and other cars have to drive around me. Still plenty of tweaking required, but def on the right path. I would love to see more options to tune the FSD behavior in general.
Hi. Question, with FSD subscription now at $99/month, do u think most Uber drivers with Tesla will subscribe and use it? I'm trying to understand how meaningful FSD v12 is to Uber drivers.
I don’t think so because these Uber drivers are likely to have close to zero knowledge about the system. There would need to be some sort of education or training campaign. Though the system is really good, I’ve seen a lot of these of other drivers and … uh lol… I dunno if I’d want them turning it on without enough understanding.
Would be great to hear some quick thoughts/ interpretation on the community as well. It looks like in 12.3.4 Miles to Crit DE dropped quite a bit which I find surprising.
12.3.4 is better on curbs and gives a bit more room for parked cars, but sometimes still a little too close sometimes. For my tire blowout, it seemed to be going around the corner fine and for some reason cut the wheel farther with no chance to intervene (and my tire hit a spot in the curb where concrete was missing, so the edge just tore it open)
Ah jeeeeez that is peak Murphy. I’m sorry to hear that. It sounds like the sort of thing that would actually happen to me lol. I hope your wheel didn’t suffer to much damage.
@@CYBRLFT I’m asking about your hotspot internet on your cellphone. You said you were going to download the fsd update through your hotspot on your phone and that got me curious about it.
@@EnsianceI oh gotcha! Yeah it downloaded way faster than expected. I connected while I left my home, drove to wash the car and then to charge and it was ready to update by the time I got out of the car wash lol. I have an iPhone 15 on a Verizon unlimited data plan.
Seeing Tijuana on that map, I'm curious if you've tried to use FSD in Mexico. Still not available if you were to purchase a Tesla in Mexico, but I wonder if the system would even work at all coming from the states. I've been wondering about this since 10.69.25. If you haven't tried it in Mexico yet, what do you think would happen? Would it still work there and attempt to drive those streets, or do you think it would revert to basic autopilot upon entering Mexico? My assumption is that it would work to some degree, even if not as reliably, in any country you take it to, so long as you have it equipped on your car. I do think that potentially there would be a lot of red wheel errors so it may not work very reliably at all.
@@obedespinoza4185 Interesting. What happened when crossing the border? Did the system just automatically switch to basic autopilot and did the visualization switch with it? Does the setting for FSD get grayed out? I'm really curious about this.
I wasn’t actually running fad while crossing the border, it gets crazy with aggressive drivers trying to get through, I just tried to engage it while in Tijuana but it wouldn’t work, the message was something along the lines of fsd not available in your area
@@obedespinoza4185 Sounds like Tesla geolocked the feature so it wouldn't be enabled outside of the US and Canada. There was something I saw about transporting a US car to Europe and not having map data, as it has the NA map data only.
I don't get the claim of increasing difficult towards 99,999%. That statement was fact when it was hard coded. But with nets only model you can train the specific disengagements and improve it really fast. Those become more rare between every 9 which means you need less compute not more to solve issues. Bet you hit 99% before 8/8. Flashing reds, parking, right on red, emergency vehicles and you're close to that.
That’s a fair point. I meant that to go up even 5% from 90 would mean more than a 2x reduction in failed trips and the quantity gets to be more impactful as you increase your % expectation. But your point about the NN training speeds could very well invalidate that concern. I appreciate that comment.
@@CYBRLFT Yup I got you. We both know how common that .9 argument is among this FSD bubble and I was making a point slightly off your original argument. Cool channel btw. I'm from Finland watching you driving a cab just to learn the latest of FSD behavior 😂 weird weird world
So my car has just over 160,000 miles on it. About 55k miles currently as purely FSD and about 76k miles before that was on autopilot before I subbed to FSD. So together about 130k miles have been on some sort of autonomy vs manual driving lol.

Very interesting!!! I love this report. I hope to see a short video like this after each update to have share the result. Perhaps a video of 5min
Love seeing this, as a data scientist myself this is awesome!
That feels great to hear ❤
So great to see. Love these breakdowns! Looking forward to the next one
This is my favorite part of my channel personally. I love all the data and I'm glad many are getting into it as well.
This is freaking awesome! Nicely done!!
Thank you!!
I think a toggle for "City Only" kilometers would be nice. Especially as the high way parts are getting nailed down real quick

Should definitely raise the bar for blue areas. As you said 90%+ would be great (and another color for 100%)
Yeah we’re working on that change. I think it’ll provide some great relevance to the discussion around regional readiness.

A couple of points in difference doesn't mean it's worse. It's just a new minor version. It's probably very similar to the previous versions.
@@DanyPell City miles 2DE critical: 12.3=331, 12.3.3=158, 12.3.4=55. This looks like a pretty big difference

@CYBRLFT luckily the rim was spared, but part of the curb was broken so where the tire hit was a relatively sharp edge, so the sidewall was destroyed
Nice work!
Thanks!
Great data. You should be paid by Tesla 😀

I actually have no idea haha I’ve never tried. The idea of dealing with that border crossing and traffic has always made me run the other way 😅
I tried it earlier in the year, it doesn’t work, only autopilot you can engage

Careful with 12.3.4 I have saw a few reports where it curbs people’s rims. Now so far in my experience I haven’t seen it hasn’t got close.
So far so good here. I’m on high alert.
The numbers might go down still. Apparently 12.3.4 is a notable regression for some.
Hmm. I’ll be able to see soon enough. Hopefully not too bad.
good news. I'm predicting 91% for 12.3.4

Nice job! I predict a slight decline with 12.3.4. It has been less reliable for me. So I'll say 88%.
I wonder of after the improvement of 11.4.2, they shifted resources (humans) to the development of V12x, resulting in a dip in processing for 11.4.4?
Possibly. It really was an interesting unicorn build that I missed terribly until getting v12 😮💨 and STILL holds the record at 93% 😆
