Fantastic tribute video of Tiant. It really shows what a lovable player he was. Truly a legend of the game. Anytime someone says he’s not a HOFer I’m ready to argue them. RIP 🙏
Thanks Hugo! Yeah man, Tiant was a great man and an ambassador for the game, especially the Red Sox! I agree he should be a HOFer, sadly he will never get to see his HOF plaque!
One of the greats of the game Jim, a Red Sox legend! And real class act, always out among the fans after retiring, and signing autographs. I first met El Tiante signing autographs next to the hot dog stand on Lansdowne Street around 15 years ago or so, he signed an autograph for my nephew, and then met him a few years ago at a card show doing signings, getting the pleasure of shaking his hand! He will be missed...Rest In Peace Luis Tiant.
Hi Frank! It was a sad day yesterday, Luis was a great man and an ambassador for the game! So cool that you had a chance to meet him on a couple of occasions! Great memories for you! I appreciate you watching! Hope all is well!
Fantastic highlights of Tiant. I heard about his passing the other day and it hot me hard a lot of these guys from the 50s and 60s are going at a fast rate. So sad. Thanks for sharing
“Age 37.. according to him😂😂. TWIB was my childhood! Played the one year 1970 before heading to your Sox! Nice tribute, Jim! Thanks for sharing and Good Collecting 👍❤️
Hi Jim! Sorry to hear about the passing of Luis Tiant. I’m not sure why he hasn’t gotten more consideration for the HOF. He had a spectacular career. Take care, my friend!
Great job with this Jim! It’s always a little more difficult when one of your favorites passes. So many have passed lately. There’s only four baseball players living that played in the 40’s. We’re starting to lose era’s of the game.
an amazing pitcher, doesn't really get the credit for being as good as he was. a forever Red Sox legend. I had the privilege of meeting him at the maine diner years ago,a friendly but quiet man. God rest his soul. thanks jim for giving him this tribute!!!!

Hey thanks so much for stopping by! We most likely will never see a pitcher barreling around the bases the way Tiant did! It was a great era of baseball, fun times!
Gotta love those old uniforms also gotta love those old tickets real tickets not the garbage phone, Gotta love the old readers poll ballot for Circus magazine. That's right with the exception of You tube there nothing I like after 1998? sorry to hear about number 23. so we lost number 24 , 32 in Football , 14 , Ozzie Virgil the Father now number 23 I give this year an F minus?
