      Hi mate, I'm glad you're enjoying the videos. I really appreciate you taking the time to mention it... It's still a bit rough, but I'll get there eventually. I'm learning as I go :)

      Cheers mate! It all happened when, one late at night, we made a spontaneous decision to go fishing the next morning and had no bait except for a chunk of chicken meat for trevally. the mate whack a slob onto the bottom meat and sent it to the bottom then, boom!

    Awesome vid Abe, like to get my first dhus myself. How far do you go out on the yaks and how deep do you fish. Have a good one mate 🤙🤙🤙

    • @AbeVentures
      @AbeVentures  7 месяцев назад

      Thanks mate, in this video we're at 13-15m deep. The majority of the dhuis I caught were from 8-12meters on ledges 1km -3km from the shore. Do you fish from the kayak as well? If you are running with sonar you should be able to find them easy.

      @@AbeVentures yeah i fish off a kayak myself. And i also have a sounder but still yet to get a good kayak like yours as i have to paddle with my hands, getting out wide can be a bit of a mission 😆. Thanks mate keep up the good vids🤙🤙🎣

      @@MBilli-pt6fz I feel you bro, I have a stealth yak, I love paddling sometimes. Since you got a sounder, find yourself a good ledge, anchor they yak, berely up - sit back relax, wait for dhui to come thru Good luck mate! stay safe.

    Your two mates had 3 dhui’s and you shot two that’s 5 dhui’s between 3 people, your exceeding bag limits

      I assume it's the same rules as fishing from a boat. Meaning a maximum of 4 demersals per boat/kayak with 2 or more licences onboard. So one yak had 2 people so that's 4 fish, and the other 2 solo yakas can have there 2 each. So they could have kept 8 Dhufish between them all. Technically and especially if on film each person can only catch there 2, meaning if one person catches nothing then your mate can't catch your limit for you. Hard to prove for fisheries unless you film and post yourself doing it LoL. See it alot on RUclips
