HIGH END MUNICH 2023: PMC Prodigy - cheaper than ever

PMC have created a new range of speakers where they are pushing prices down to £1,250 for the bookshelf speaker 1 and £1,995 for the floorstanding 5. How did they do it?

The basket is from a Peerless SDS unit. The membrane looks very similar(if not identical). It's a 20 euro unit.
And the cooling fins on the tweeter looks like Vifa tweeter that I can't remember the name of. But also a 20 euro unit. Both also used in the Beosound Shape speakers.
Used the SDS unit in my first DIY speakers. Great unit and easy to work with

I sent PMC a couple of questions about buying the Prodigy 1's and I was a bit surprised to not receive an answer. It's the holiday shopping season and I'd expect customer responsiveness to be a high priority.

That PMC is almost a NEEDLE replica :( not a full TL but quarter wave but ok

2400 euro for this? I preffer by far my pair of gb1i with cherry veners.

Membrane of the mid-bass looks "cheapo".
