We rode out hurricane Wilma in a Kissimmee hotel back in 2005 during our honeymoon. That was a bit scary and it wasn't even that big. They did close the Magic Kingdom the first half of the day, though.
I was there at sapphire falls that entire hurricane week. It was my first hurricane and it wasn’t bad at all. I’m glad the theme parks are in the middle of the state!!! I didn’t run into you but it is so dark at HHN idk if you could ever find anyone unless you had a meet up place and time!🤣
How was Sapphire during the Hurricane? Did they do anything special?! Thankfully Orlando barely got anything from the storm, so it was a chill evening! And yes, it's definitely hard to spot people in the fog with alllll those people! But sometimes, luck is on your side. I've met quite a few friendly faces this year - it's all about chance!
@@DiscoLiz not sure if the hotel did anything special. I went to bed early!! I took advantage of the extra sleep I could get. Well I guess Chance wasn’t on my side. Enjoy the rest of haunt season. It’s over for me.
I’m going to Orlando at the end of October and beginning of November for Halloween, but I’m a little concerned about the weather bc of the hurricanes but I wanna look for safety hotels, you know to be careful just in case happens something
5:07 that’s great that you didn’t skip out! I bet the crowds were minimal.

I don’t want to jinx anything, but hurricane season SHOULD be winding down now and will hopefully be okay for Halloween weekend!
