Sometimes is just not worth (when tryn is anyway to get killed by other kinds of cc and his ult almost finished), and some other time is plain stupid (when tryn has his ult, when tryn is full hp, when tryn is feed enough and have the items to kill you even without his ult)
Aatrox main here, quick tip to play against such annoying "features" such as thormail and ignite: -lay down to ground and cry, the best thing that can happen to you is that you still have tears to shed this works too if you encounter any of the following: fiora, late game (minions included), cc, shen (tanks in general), existence, enemy support in top side bush for no reason, enemy adc in top side bush for no reason, 4 man running you down on top with all ignite for no reason (while your enemy top is in midlane, chillin') gotta say: never before did i got so much attention in my life before i started maining him, such shame it was the enemy's

One thing I didn't see you note even thought it appeared: When not going for a max range Q1E, you want to hold E until the last moment of Q to get the benefit of some of extended range but also put you in range for Q2. 3:11 is probably the best example of this, even though that Q1 would probably have clipped anyways, he Ed forward anyways to setup more options for Q2.

I don't exactly know much about this situation, but I think LoL Analyst has been kind of "stealing" LoL Dobby's videos from the get go. Somebody actually made a video on RUclips explaining this (although that video didn't get much attention). There, it also gets mentioned that Analyst got comments calling him out for this, but he deleted all of them. And I assume that recently, LoL Analyst has probably gotten reported or sued for stealing content, and was forced to take all of his videos down. I don't know when it happened, or how it happened, but something MUST have happened for sure.

I would agree with you, but ever since Twiched banned him i have watched him pretty much every day he is streaming and he tries, but most often enough he simple does not carry. That is what happens in higher elos though, you can be pretty good but you simply will never be good enough to actually carry most of the times, especially if you like champions that Riot hates for some reason.
@@rafaelcastor2089 hashinshin doesn’t try to carry, his role is basically splitpushing and the occasional teamfight, if you watch his stream a lot of the times they tend to permagank him resulting in other lanes being fed and since hashinshin doesn’t give two shits about k/d he always gets the job done in toplane

Ive been maining aatrox ever since his rework and i must tell you that pretty much all of the key knowledge of aatrox is all in this video. you are definitely underrated! :)
As one of the Hashinshins viewer explained you dont need to click on the enemy after the E it will automatically hit the last enemy pointed and will be faster.
Im an Aatrox main. Became world #30 for a few weeks in 2020 and that video is great for new Aatrox players. I can just say a few more things. If you belive you can kill your enemy at lv3, give Q to 2nd point, not w. This will increase the damage a lot for each Q. And if you are good at using your Q and dodging stuff, you can use Eclipse for more damage(it gives %hp damage and armor penetration for each item), skill-based-healing(with omnivamp) and speed boost.
There is nothing more annoying than playing against an aatrox main that’s playing some other champ. They know your weaknesses, and are super aggressive against someone playing aatrox.
@@ahihi7706 AAtrox has highly telegraphed attacks. They are easy to predict, you have to mix it up or not be predictable. The area around his sweet spot is his downfall, it is like moving out of sett W sweet spot; yet Sett has more tools to crack your skull. AAtrox Q are your everything, once on cooldown so is your champ.
Another tip, if you plan to use W for an all in try to use it on the vertical plane of the map. The pull cone on the horizontal plane is usually easier to escape since they'll usually be trying to escape vertically towards their tower.

Just an extra tip, if you use only Q1 or Q2 the CD will be ticking down from the first cast (like Riven's Q) but if you use Q3 the CD will be set to the full duration, so if you want to use Q1/Q2 for poking hold on the Q3 and you'll have it more often
The difference between Riven and Aatrox is that Aatrox's Q resets its CD every time you cast it whilst Riven's Q starts CD from the very first cast (that's why she can mindlessly spam her Q on high CDR/AH)
There are three more tricks for Aatrox players. 1.When u hit your q1, u can EW and then use q2 which significantly increases your full combo accuracy. 2. when u try to harass the enemy under tower, u can use q1 or q2 backward e to dodge tower shot. 3. when u try to dive enemy under tower, u can use q1 w q2 R and then q3. The movement speed can allow u to get out of the tower shot range easily.
An item that I really enjoy building in the right circumstances is duskblade. When you know that you aren't going to get close enough to a lot of ranged opponents, the slow that duskblade provides when you are able to land even one auto helps quite a lot to stick on your target. If you end up getting a kill, the stealth that you get aligns really well with the cooldown of your q and e. This makes you indirectly tankier as the enemies will not be able to see you, so they can't hit you, and when you reveal yourself, you will be healing from your abilities again. Pros of this build: - A lot of fun - You deal massive amounts of damage - duskblade slow makes you stick on target - stealth aligns really well with the cooldowns of your q and e Cons of the build: - Squishier than goredrinker as that item has the potential to heal you back up to full after dropping to half hp - You don't heal as much - situational item - The red effect that you get on your screen collides with the stealth effect making it hard to notice if you actually are in stealth sometimes. I would suggest to try it out if you are interested in it and see how it feels. I can promise it's a lot of fun and it isn't complete troll as I won ranked games with this (flex that is, so might not count as much)

Some extra easy tips: Your Passive aa’s range is slightly longer than his normal one (225). Use this in your advantage. The healing from this aa is kinda insignificant when attacking minions but really strong when attacking champions. If you’re low on a fight but your passive is up soon, it’s worth to use it to turn the table in your favor. Your ultimate ms is a lot in the beginning but decays afterwards. When you get a kill World Ender resets so you get the full ms back. Keep in mind that you can also Q sideways and backwards. The rest of the tips are already displayed on the video. Great job!

Darius... ghosts into a Stridebreaker, e (armor reduction) and w within 1 second after which you were slowed for up to 80% and pulled and get either q-ed to death or dunked (up to 700 true damage at this point)... the counterplay there is truly immense my friend

I think it's interesting to know that Q cd starts right after using it, but refreshes everytime you use it again. If you think the trade is not going well, stop using it and you will be able to use it earlier than doing the full combo.
Btw, on the E auto reset, there's no need to click the enemy after using e, since aatrox will automatically attack the enemy he was auto-attacking before using E
Really cool. There's just one more thing: your Q cooldown is lower if you use one or 2 Q's instead of 3, at lvl 1 with 0 ability haste, using one or two Qs will give you 10s of cd, and using all three will give you 14s of cd. You can see it at 10:30, using all 3 Qs made it go into a 5s cooldown, and using only 2 made it go into a 1s cooldown.
Aatrox is very natural to me. I knew all these tricks just by playing. I still dream with the day Rito will give us back his Guardian Angel's effect 😍 one day maybe...

Hydra is a trap. It's almost always better to go Gore - Cleaver - Sterak and then decide whether you want Visage, Death's Dance or Hydra but never build it second.
Hydra does feel nice against squishy enemies but is ultimately not what aatrox needs i'd say. The Shield and Tenacity from steraks passive is worth more.
(Sorry for bad english) Hello, can You make a video about "Pyke tips & tricks" but for season 11? I've watched the video about roaming Pyke from september, I totaly can't find out the good gameplay for my Pyke on midlane and can't climb out from Diam1/low masters (yes, im playing solo, without duo). And that's pretty annoying.
Two things I would maybe like to see in future videos: 1. Clips of people messing up combos / not respecting their champ's weaknesses and being punished for it ("This is how you SHOULDN'T play this champ") 2. How enemies can counterplay the champ shown in the video ("This is what you can do AGAINST this champ")
I don't know why but i watching all this guide videos, maybe cause they are made so well. Everytime i jump into rift, all my teammates want me to get of the face of the earth. Hope i can play even 1% like these clips in the future lol.
This guide is really good. The only part i believe is lacking is the build order. There is not even a mention of black cleaver when it might be the strongest item for Aatrox in the entire game.
I think there was no tip for the Q cooldown management. Aatrox Q cooldown works in a somewhat odd way, the cooldown actually starts when you press Q, and resets every time you press Q. You may notice that if you Q1 and don't use Q2 or Q3, the CD appears shorter than if you used Q3. What you should never do is use Q2 or Q3 if you don't need it, especially if you waste time inbetween the Qs. Especially in lane, or when chasing a target, it is often most profitable to just fish for knockups with Q1 to start a combo. But if you miss Q1, don't proceed to use more Q, wait for the timer to run out, and with lots of CDR and maxed Q you can immediately Q1 again after the "combo timer" for Q2 runs out. Especially after lvl9 and some ability haste, 2 back to back Q1s will often catch opponents off guard who think they are out of Q range. Keep in mind that this won't work in the middle of combat for early levels, as the Q cd is so long before it is maxed out. But still in lane, if you use Q1 to poke and have no way to follow up with more Qs, just let the timer run out. The worst thing you can do is to extend the timer for no reason.

Just as another FYI, Aatrox Q goes on full CD if you Q3, but stopping at Q1 or Q2 only sets it to the remaining duration (ex: you have 16 second CD but only using Q1 or Q2 would act as if it were 12), so it's good to hold on early game if the trade doesn't turn out the way you like it

Hey guys, couple of things I wanna share: As of patch 11.2, Aatrox will be changed. The healing amp on his ult will be severely nerfed BUT he's getting compensated by increasing the omnivamp of his E (and even more during ult), this will hurt his interaction with Goredrinker and ravenous hunter (which is fine) while improving his own damage sustain. So with that in mind I ask you to try one of these things: Grasp as his keystone: For a long time conqueror has been the default rune for him, but nerf after nerf after nerf made this rune a lot worse for a slow hitting character such as him. Stacking it takes your whole combo leaving you without not much to do, so realistically you're only getting the full benefit of the rune once you have enough CDR and levels on your Q or in the mid-late game teamfights, the inconsistency of the rune leaves much to be desired. I end a lot of games with Conqueror healing less than 200 health (I guess you can still take it if you notice the extra AD per stack, is up to you). Now, why would you ever take grasp? Number 1- way more consistency. Aatrox's passive gives him extra range, you can use it safe poking Number 2- really good damage. This lets him retaliate against characters that excel at short trades such as Fiora, Irelia, Camille, Jax, etc (these champs are super difficult to deal with, having short trades means you'll likely never stack conqueror before they outtrade or kill you) 3- Since Aatrox's healing is based around the damage he deals and all of his damage is physical, grasp can be the saving grace against tanks that stack armor in the early game 4- Aatrox can make a decent use of the runes on the resolve tree Try it, at least I liked it a lot. Stridebreaker instead of Goredrinker: Goredrinker got nerfed a while ago, reducing the healing for each champion hit with the active. While it's still going to be a great item for him, now you can build other things as his mythic without trolling, and one of those things is stridebreaker. While the mythic passive is kinda useless for him, the stats and active are great for improving his combos and overall smoothness. Attack speed allows you to be a better splitpusher and helps you mitigate the clunkyness of his passive and autos, the active slow helps you to difficult the escape of your W and the dash allows for a extra repositioning of the 2° or 3° Q (a long time ago Aatrox's E stored 2 changes in it, making it difficult to outplay him since he could work around the enemy escapes with easy reposition, now stridebreaker brings that problem back)

There is nothing more annoying than playing against an aatrox main that’s playing some other champ. They know your weaknesses, and are super aggressive against someone playing aatrox.

@@ahihi7706 AAtrox has highly telegraphed attacks. They are easy to predict, you have to mix it up or not be predictable. The area around his sweet spot is his downfall, it is like moving out of sett W sweet spot; yet Sett has more tools to crack your skull. AAtrox Q are your everything, once on cooldown so is your champ.

Another tip, if you plan to use W for an all in try to use it on the vertical plane of the map. The pull cone on the horizontal plane is usually easier to escape since they'll usually be trying to escape vertically towards their tower.

Just an extra tip, if you use only Q1 or Q2 the CD will be ticking down from the first cast (like Riven's Q) but if you use Q3 the CD will be set to the full duration, so if you want to use Q1/Q2 for poking hold on the Q3 and you'll have it more often
I tested this on practice tool and it seems like his q refunds around 33% of its cd if you don't cast q3, instead of ticking down like riven's q

The difference between Riven and Aatrox is that Aatrox's Q resets its CD every time you cast it whilst Riven's Q starts CD from the very first cast (that's why she can mindlessly spam her Q on high CDR/AH)
There are three more tricks for Aatrox players.
1.When u hit your q1, u can EW and then use q2 which significantly increases your full combo accuracy.
2. when u try to harass the enemy under tower, u can use q1 or q2 backward e to dodge tower shot.
3. when u try to dive enemy under tower, u can use q1 w q2 R and then q3. The movement speed can allow u to get out of the tower shot range easily.

An item that I really enjoy building in the right circumstances is duskblade. When you know that you aren't going to get close enough to a lot of ranged opponents, the slow that duskblade provides when you are able to land even one auto helps quite a lot to stick on your target. If you end up getting a kill, the stealth that you get aligns really well with the cooldown of your q and e. This makes you indirectly tankier as the enemies will not be able to see you, so they can't hit you, and when you reveal yourself, you will be healing from your abilities again.
Pros of this build:
- A lot of fun
- You deal massive amounts of damage
- duskblade slow makes you stick on target
- stealth aligns really well with the cooldowns of your q and e
Cons of the build:
- Squishier than goredrinker as that item has the potential to heal you back up to full after dropping to half hp
- You don't heal as much
- situational item
- The red effect that you get on your screen collides with the stealth effect making it hard to notice if you actually are in stealth sometimes.
I would suggest to try it out if you are interested in it and see how it feels. I can promise it's a lot of fun and it isn't complete troll as I won ranked games with this (flex that is, so might not count as much)

really good video that actually gives you all the knowledge you need to play aatrox properly, thank you it made learning him a lot easier and a better experience for me.
Some extra easy tips: Your Passive aa’s range is slightly longer than his normal one (225). Use this in your advantage.
The healing from this aa is kinda insignificant when attacking minions but really strong when attacking champions. If you’re low on a fight but your passive is up soon, it’s worth to use it to turn the table in your favor.
Your ultimate ms is a lot in the beginning but decays afterwards. When you get a kill World Ender resets so you get the full ms back.
Keep in mind that you can also Q sideways and backwards.

Darius... ghosts into a Stridebreaker, e (armor reduction) and w within 1 second after which you were slowed for up to 80% and pulled and get either q-ed to death or dunked (up to 700 true damage at this point)... the counterplay there is truly immense my friend

I think it's interesting to know that Q cd starts right after using it, but refreshes everytime you use it again. If you think the trade is not going well, stop using it and you will be able to use it earlier than doing the full combo.
Btw, on the E auto reset, there's no need to click the enemy after using e, since aatrox will automatically attack the enemy he was auto-attacking before using E

Really cool. There's just one more thing: your Q cooldown is lower if you use one or 2 Q's instead of 3, at lvl 1 with 0 ability haste, using one or two Qs will give you 10s of cd, and using all three will give you 14s of cd. You can see it at 10:30, using all 3 Qs made it go into a 5s cooldown, and using only 2 made it go into a 1s cooldown.
Everytime you cast your q the cooldown resets

It's very validating as an Aatrox main to know and use all these things already. Only thing I don't regularly do is vision fake behind their turret.

Another Tip: Build Black Cleaver if the team is overall tanky and has a lot of armour instead of Ravenous Hydra.
Ravenous hunter is a rune, black cleaver is an item, r u talking about ravenous hydra?
Hydra is a trap. It's almost always better to go Gore - Cleaver - Sterak and then decide whether you want Visage, Death's Dance or Hydra but never build it second.

Hydra does feel nice against squishy enemies but is ultimately not what aatrox needs i'd say. The Shield and Tenacity from steraks passive is worth more.

I've watched the video about roaming Pyke from september, I totaly can't find out the good gameplay for my Pyke on midlane and can't climb out from Diam1/low masters (yes, im playing solo, without duo). I don't know why but i watching all this guide videos, maybe cause they are made so well. Everytime i jump into rift, all my teammates want me to get of the face of the earth. Hope i can play even 1% like these clips in the future lol.
This guide is really good. The only part i believe is lacking is the build order. There is not even a mention of black cleaver when it might be the strongest item for Aatrox in the entire game.

I think there was no tip for the Q cooldown management.
Aatrox Q cooldown works in a somewhat odd way, the cooldown actually starts when you press Q, and resets every time you press Q. You may notice that if you Q1 and don't use Q2 or Q3, the CD appears shorter than if you used Q3.
What you should never do is use Q2 or Q3 if you don't need it, especially if you waste time inbetween the Qs. Especially in lane, or when chasing a target, it is often most profitable to just fish for knockups with Q1 to start a combo. But if you miss Q1, don't proceed to use more Q, wait for the timer to run out, and with lots of CDR and maxed Q you can immediately Q1 again after the "combo timer" for Q2 runs out. Especially after lvl9 and some ability haste, 2 back to back Q1s will often catch opponents off guard who think they are out of Q range.
Keep in mind that this won't work in the middle of combat for early levels, as the Q cd is so long before it is maxed out. But still in lane, if you use Q1 to poke and have no way to follow up with more Qs, just let the timer run out. The worst thing you can do is to extend the timer for no reason.

You can also increase your Q range if u time it with your E, but it has to be pixel perfect
one of teh most satisfiying things as aatrox for me is q3 > e > flash to hit people who thought they escaped

Just as another FYI, Aatrox Q goes on full CD if you Q3, but stopping at Q1 or Q2 only sets it to the remaining duration (ex: you have 16 second CD but only using Q1 or Q2 would act as if it were 12), so it's good to hold on early game if the trade doesn't turn out the way you like it

Hey guys, couple of things I wanna share:
As of patch 11.2, Aatrox will be changed. The healing amp on his ult will be severely nerfed BUT he's getting compensated by increasing the omnivamp of his E (and even more during ult), this will hurt his interaction with Goredrinker and ravenous hunter (which is fine) while improving his own damage sustain. So with that in mind I ask you to try one of these things:
Grasp as his keystone: For a long time conqueror has been the default rune for him, but nerf after nerf after nerf made this rune a lot worse for a slow hitting character such as him. Stacking it takes your whole combo leaving you without not much to do, so realistically you're only getting the full benefit of the rune once you have enough CDR and levels on your Q or in the mid-late game teamfights, the inconsistency of the rune leaves much to be desired. I end a lot of games with Conqueror healing less than 200 health (I guess you can still take it if you notice the extra AD per stack, is up to you). Now, why would you ever take grasp?
Number 1- way more consistency. Aatrox's passive gives him extra range, you can use it safe poking
Number 2- really good damage. This lets him retaliate against characters that excel at short trades such as Fiora, Irelia, Camille, Jax, etc (these champs are super difficult to deal with, having short trades means you'll likely never stack conqueror before they outtrade or kill you)
3- Since Aatrox's healing is based around the damage he deals and all of his damage is physical, grasp can be the saving grace against tanks that stack armor in the early game
4- Aatrox can make a decent use of the runes on the resolve tree
Try it, at least I liked it a lot.
Stridebreaker instead of Goredrinker: Goredrinker got nerfed a while ago, reducing the healing for each champion hit with the active. While it's still going to be a great item for him, now you can build other things as his mythic without trolling, and one of those things is stridebreaker. While the mythic passive is kinda useless for him, the stats and active are great for improving his combos and overall smoothness. Attack speed allows you to be a better splitpusher and helps you mitigate the clunkyness of his passive and autos, the active slow helps you to difficult the escape of your W and the dash allows for a extra repositioning of the 2° or 3° Q (a long time ago Aatrox's E stored 2 changes in it, making it difficult to outplay him since he could work around the enemy escapes with easy reposition, now stridebreaker brings that problem back)
... i can really see the difference between a goodplayer dashing and me dashing haha so smooth man
