A lot of people are freaked out by Yantar, but for me, this place was an awakening. I feel like I overcame any fears with STALKER once I reached Yantar for the first time. To date, it's probably my second favorite location (first being Pripyat)
Clear Sky was the first STALKER game i ever played, and i must confess no other game has ever made me feel so helpless and scared since. That one scripted event in Agropom when you are being escorted by Duty soldiers and that one mutant we all love pops up? Yeah, i legit felt my heart beating all over the place, i stood still crouching next to a tree for like five minutes. Of course back then i didn't realize that whole sequence was scripted, so i was freaking out. Still remember it as if it happened yesterday xD
@@AurelionSass I just got through Red Forest and just when I was feeling like I couldn't get scared from this game anymore....BLOODSUCKER heart attack! :D
Headcanon: Sakharov has dementia,my proof for this is that he will continually tell you to go to lefty even after doing that quest (oversight maybe?), + the fact that in SOC hes a rookie despite in CS being experienced (error n.2)
It doesn't matter if I hear it 1,000 times. I hear that emission, I stop what I'm doing and get to cover. Playing Fallout 76 with this on, it doesn't matter XD.
Yantar always had the scariest atmosphere out of all places in STALKER.

@@-CrimsoN- Their iconic roar always manages to get me :P
now that you mention it, all of my anxiety playing stalker was kinda gone after Yantar, even though it freaked the fuck outta me. strange.
Yantar becomes a hell lot safer after you switch off the emitter. It's just like your backyard after that. Xd

lolol a siberian trucking tv show used these noises to add gloom to a scene involving sleeping at the roadside near tombstones
I really like to hear the yantar Atmosphere but in SoC. If you cloud do this i will be very happy.

The helico-dropped lab always reminded me of the lab in "Phase IV" by Saul Bass.
