The fact that he finished the match and was able to stand on his leg is insane to me. I just had a similar injury on 9/5/24 Tibia Plateu Fracture playing soccer and got surgery 9/9/24 and I’m struggling with this. After getting hurt I tried standing on it and it was impossible for me and then my knee swelled up and was 3 times the size as my other one. Can’t put any weight for the next 3 months. Honestly it’s been really hard and painful and it’s hard to accept that I probably won’t ever play the same.
I think Tony put it best when he said AEW has the safest working environment. AEW talent is so safe in the ring it's wild. And major props to the medical professionals and referees that know when to call a match when someone is injured. I hope we can get Darby and Danielson in charge of safety in the future once they have retired from inring competition.

Edge's best match was in WWE his last PPV match for the company in Canada where he demonstrated master ring professionalism and counter point sparring that looked like Christmas. He needs to wrestle like that in AEW. Smooth as a cats ass and still older than the rest of the wildish children that are trying to hard. Everytime they think of a new move, Edge could predict and punish you for trying. That was inspirational.

I have something constructive to say about this, and I hope it's taken in good faith. I think the one thing Copeland needs to consider is evolving his character, and his style when he comes back. I know that there is demand for guys to jump off of high structures, but Copeland isn't 25 anymore. At this age, you can still do things, but you start playing games with constant pain. I am a huge fan of how Christian has reinvented himself as a disapproving father figure. I don't feel like Copeland has evolved past that persona that broke his neck all those years ago. I like Copeland. When I was in Iraq during the Second Gulf War, WWE was something that helped keep me going. I don't want to see this guy end up like an old rodeo star bull rider where he's permanently crippled up. Mr. Copeland: Please evolve if you continue to do this. There are plenty of wrestlers half his age wrestling on television every week who can't tell a story in the ring half as well as he still can.
Whoever says "I watched wrestling my whole life ima massive fan became a professional wrestler then omg I get to work with edge tonight?!" And he wants to jump off a cage into a table or something crazy, why don't you have enough self dignity to say "no sir I don't get paid to kill my heros can u just spear me into a table instead 😅?"

He will always be known to me as edge. I hope he gets to come back to the major league instead of playing around in small half empty arenas. Living in the same town as he does I've actually got to see him out 2x but he was with his family so I never bothered him but I would have loved to meet him

It's crazy how this 1 pop turned everyone in a wrestling coach. People who've never been in the ring, just coaching from the bleachers. Act like injuries aren't a part of wrestling, sports, etc. if he doesn't break a bone, we're praising him with zero outcry. Biased of course. He's 50, been doing it for decades for the biggest company, now in full creative control and after the good match he was still walking and alive. shawn michaels besides the one time he was dumb to come back and wrestle, which he wasnt too bad. Shawn has the only brain that he knows when its time to stop. Jericho and Edge is just ruining what they were known for in good wrestling.
