I am with Amy as far as finding a spot to paint outdoors. I’ve been in a group with one woman who said the same thing to me about “you better hurry up and paint”! she took photographs basically so she was never in a hurry to paint, but she always claimed that she was getting so much.. she gave up painting years ago and I’m still out there painting.. doing a thumbnail first getting it located on my canvas ..
I take my time and feel good about that.!

I have just discovered Aimee Erickson and am so excited as I search for everything she has painted and listenoing to her interviews is an incredible experience...I'm thinking she has been in the shadows by choice..But now I think her style and discussions are setting the art world on fire due to her ability as a painter and her unique exciting view of colors and choice of subjects are captivating....! WOW

I'm lucky to have seen Aimee paint Laguna and get to have some fun chatting with her. Aimee is a large part in plein air in our time.

Also, Amy said that darker colors are naturally warmer.
I disagree …most of the dark colors that I know of are more naturally cool colors.
