Many of these goals and chances were created exploiting school yard level of defending. Having said that though, I still think prime R9 would cut through any defensive line at any point in history.
Ronaldo could be the GOAT if he could stay like this whole his career. Sadly his body build didnt allow that to happened. A little weight gain and his knee couldnt stand his upper body and then crumble.

When he moved to Real in 2003 his prime was already over. But he adapted his playing style and became more of a classic 9. Good positioning combined with his still sublime technique helped him score 20+ goals for 3 seasons straight in Real. This might not have been his prime but he still won one more ball on'dor in Real. He might only have played one season in Barca but I'm sure Barca fans still consider him a legend dor playing so phenomenal. Though we could also say that we've never seen R9's prime due to his injuries. Who knows, had he never gotten injured then maybe we wouldn't debate wether Messi or CR7 was the best player of all time.
