  • How to cut and fit the yoke pattern piece so that the pattern works. Many people do this wrong then think the pattern is not good - but you just need to know how the yoke should be oriented.

I just bought this pattern and have yet to open it. I don't think I would even have BOUGHT it if I'd known there is to be a SEAM in the center front and the center back. Peculiar. And I agree...not the tutorial one might hope for.

Hi. There is NOT a seam in the center front and back of this pattern. That is not indicated by this video at all.

Worst directions ever! 😂 “it’s actually going onto your body this way not that way.”
What does that mean when the pattern piece is sitting on the table? Could you put it on your shoulder to show us? Is the seam down the front of your chest? I’m scared to buy this but i’m wanting to make a Mexican shirt.

We are simply showing the direction of the yoke when it is attached to the front or back of the dress because there was confusion when people were attaching the yoke due to the pleats. If you use the notches on the pattern, there is no problem, but this helps many people who have been confused.

She literally said "this is actually the front and back; this is the shoulder". And if you look at the pattern directions, the orientation is clear.
