Ive lived here behind Disney and have been here since 535 was a dirt road from winter Garden to the backgates of the magic kingdom. So I completely understand everyones outrage its a sad thing.
I agree. This project was fought by the Lake County Residents from the moment the idea was brought up, but their concerns went on death ears. Money and back door deals made this massive project possible. Nature and our beautiful scenic drives have been lost. Our quaint community is gonna be replaced with tall buildings, and traffic jams. Let's not forget that the Round Lake School that serves PK-8 grade students is near by and Parents are going to experience bad traffic on the way to pick up/drop off their children. Do to this project school busses have been discontinued. What a sad thing to see but "they" those people making the decisions call it progress while the residents of Lake County see it more as a destruction to their way of life.
Everyone seems to forget the young people need jobs too. I’m sure the lake county youth would love white collar jobs without having to commute to Orlando. The older crowd opposing this can stay downtown. Downtown mount Dora is forever no matter the outcome.
I agree, you see so many young ppl who want to stay, but have moved out of the area or (like me) have to drive into Orlando to work. While this project that was announced over 15 years ago would give residents an opportunity to work without having to drive an hour ..

Well there goes that little town. $$$$$
Yet Mount Dora fought the Epic Theater and the Van Gogh house but lets this happen

Send the developers to Polk County, lol.
Sad indeed
I'm so excited for this
Leave the state you are destroying our land
I think I just barfed in my mouth.

This is destroying the very reason people moved here, our beautiful and critically important land. You need to leave Florida.

This is a huge boom for Mount Dora! They are so lucky to have companies invest in that area! Keep up the good work!
You’re a developer
@@TrainzDriver2 No, just someone who believes science and tech could really benefit Lake County. We certainly don't need another theme park!
@@cudafish9594 it’s destroying peoples ways of life and the ever more so endangered land of the peninsula.

Oh no, progress and growth 😖
Not progress, destruction
