I'd like to see you in the next video catch live bait from the shallows of the jetty & then go to the end of the jetty & live bait the fish out to larger predatory fish. Could do this as an experiment too by trying it during the day then try at night & see what works best 👍🏻 Keep the challenges & experiments coming 👌🏻
I recently started watching u and ever since never regretted it cus I doesn’t be able to go fishing as often no more but your videos makes me feel like I’m dear so god bless 🙏🏻
You should try fishing with candy like gummy worms and frogs I’ve been subscribed but lost your channel and I’ve been watching you all day you are my inspiration for fishing and I love you channel so much keep up the great work👍
Honestly, I think mostly anything edible would get a bite from a saltwater fish as long as you drop it in their vicinity, it's just a question of the bait's integrity on saltwater and whether it would last long enough on the hook to get a bite.
When are you gonna start fishing offshore for the big stuff???? Like tuna and other pelagic types or general offshore fishing. you make good quality videos as it is and I’m sure everyone would agree that they would like to see you get involved with the big stuff.
Last time to Lahaina we tossed French fries out the window at Bubba Gumps down to the fish cruising the shore below. There were huge teal colored parrot fish hammering them! They love fries!
I think that you should try COOKED shrimp when you're trying to catch bait, as it stays on much better. Also, frozen anchovies are really good too, in fresh or saltwater. Btw, the cooked shrimp heads will catch you redear (shellcracker) sunfish and crappie in fresh water.
I discovered that cooked shrimp works really well on crappie or any sunfish in freshwater. I just put some on a hook when I was trying to get rid of food when I had more than I could eat left when I was moving in a few days. Caught some nice bluegills and green sunfish on it. Since then I've also caught a few crappie, largemouth bass, and catfish with cooked shrimp.
The chicken nugget idea is awesome ive caught bass and catfish that way as well. Also caught massive carp on mcdonalds french fries. Everything loves Mikky D's
You should hit the west coast and try the anclote power plant pier aswell as the park on the inflow side. Used to live there and caught some seriously nice fish between the inflow and outflow sides
Next time you go grocery shopping, look for calamari rings in the frozen food section. And if you look at the bag look at the back of the bag usually you'll see if it has squid tentacles in there or not. I highly recommend that you try fishing with squid tentacle!
I sh*t you not...when we travel to Pensacola, we go to a place named OAR HOUSE. That place sits on the water and it is swarmed with pinfish and small jacks. We catch the heck out of them on day old McD's French Fries that have been left in the bag, soaked in ketchup. NOT JOKING....they tear those old stale fries up!
What you do is use chicken legs drumsticks that you use for crabbing use the skin of the chicken leg a lot of people use it at the pier that I go to take catch fluke with it which is at summer flounder I seen makatsch Bluefish with it and porgies with it so maybe one day you try it out see if it works for you
On my 27th birthday, I was dragged along on a family trip to Curacao, I really wanted to book a boat to take me offshore for a day, but my family had other plans, so I was stuck there for 5 days with no fishing gear, no prospects of going fishing, and it's my birthday the next day and all I wanted to do was catch a fish, and bro, I dunno if people there can't fish or something, but literally every fish was so plentiful, I saw schools of Snook just under the surface, very close to humans, for the first time ever, big ones too. So we're walking, exploring, and we stop in a random Chinese grocery store (Specifically Chinese, yes, there are thousands of specifically Chinese groceries opening in the Caribbean, 1 out of every 3 grocery stores is Chinese owned and operated, we are very literally being economically invaded, our local sellers cannot afford to continue selling at a loss because they do not have overseas financiers who support them and are interested in playing the long game of eliminating all the other stores through attrition) to get some drinks, and lucky me, there's some basic fishing gear for sale up on the wall, so I bought some line, weights and hooks. Rigged up a 20oz coke bottle and went out to the literal industrial shipping channel that just passes through the middle of Punda, so I sat on the edge of this incredibly deep channel with some of the most breathtaking sights I've seen in a while, it's hard to put into words the feeling you get standing 10 feet away from a 1000ft long, 200ft high mega ship that's just driving past you, so just imagine how deep that channel has to be to accommodate ships that large. I put all 300ft of line onto that bottle, and every single time I dropped it down, it never hit the bottom and I ran out of line, it's probably because the current was kinda strong and I wasn't actually going straight down. So I have no bait, but I have leftovers from lunch, I wonder if a fish would eat a piece of fried chicken? What about this piece of Bacon? Hell, what about the fries? This chicken empanada? Yes to every single one, those little Red Snappers were VERY hungry, and the very large fish that bust my line and went with the last of my 2 hooks ended the night for me, but it was a shockingly good fishing trip, one of the more memorable ones that stays with me. So yes, they will indeed eat literally anything you put in the water if they're hungry, I used a piece of a fucking apple and got bites, didn't catch anything but they definitely hit it, the french fries and the bacon seemed to get the most attention, and the chicken held onto the hook like a champ, I used the same piece of chicken to catch like 3 fish lmao
Yes it is possible ghost out here in New York out on City Island in the Bronx there's a bunch of Italian restaurants in McDonald's somebody was using McDonald's french fries I picked up a striped bass so yes you probably will get something on that food

I think maybe you should try some hotdogs. They work with freshwater, but will they work with saltwater?

Honestly, I think mostly anything edible would get a bite from a saltwater fish as long as you drop it in their vicinity, it's just a question of the bait's integrity on saltwater and whether it would last long enough on the hook to get a bite.
"is this real chicken" HAHA! *remembers I work in a chicken processing plant* oh uh.. yes.. we have to say that or we get sent off for reeducation!
When are you gonna start fishing offshore for the big stuff???? Like tuna and other pelagic types or general offshore fishing. you make good quality videos as it is and I’m sure everyone would agree that they would like to see you get involved with the big stuff.

Next time you go grocery shopping, look for calamari rings in the frozen food section. And if you look at the bag look at the back of the bag usually you'll see if it has squid tentacles in there or not. I highly recommend that you try fishing with squid tentacle!
And after you get home from fishing, with the squid tentacles, you should fry up the calamari rings with some onion ring breading.
