"Brook trout...the most beautiful freshwater fish in North America." That may be an understatement. Great little segment about the baitfish the trout barfed up vs the fly he used.

Brookies are my favorite fish to target, especially on dry flies. I fish a freestone (snow melt) stream in the Sierras that looks like one solid rapid but a two foot drift will entice a strike. At 9,000 ft. elevation they don’t get that big but they’re a blast to catch. Brook trout, number one in my book! Thanks for the entertaining video.

OMG great video!!!🤙🏽 you know as a kid we’d hike up in Rose Valley Ojai ca. Mountains and in the summertime the streams up in 3k foot elevation mountain canyons slow to trickling, anyhowz the brook trout stay in these large swimming holes that usual flow over giving these trout the abilities to go up stream or down. But they stay there until rainy season etc. but it’s strange because their maximum size is maybe 5”to6” and they are very dark with all the beautiful markings but very dark on top. Me and wifey and our dog can’t wait to hit the fishing at the base of the sierras. (Owens River)Mahalo Nui Loa for such a great channel boyz!🤙🏽🏕🎣🚣🏼‍♂️

What happened to the old music?

Devon I was pressured to change it, so now it is at the end credits. Some like the new music, some like you, miss the old tune. Change was inevitable after 20 years

The New Fly Fisher ah yes I suppose it’s just a shock to the system after watching so many episodes with the old music. I have to say I love the new direction of the show though, very informative while still showing a lot of fish being caught. In the future I’d like to see some more New Brunswick episodes! I’m sure the musky organization on the St John would love to host you!

Man, really poor fish handling. Also you should use a net that has fish safe rubber mesh. Sad to see.
