After waiting 2 years for watchin any volcano eruption around world, I still waiting volcano eruption status on Iceland and the new eruption has been happened.
Even scientists have been killed by something they weren't expecting. I can certainly understand the reason people are drawn to this but please take care.
@@sicksock435446 LOL. Could just be Darwin at work too. I know scientists make calculated risks but have a whole lot more information than we do. Hope no one gets hurt, or worse.
As eruptions go it's probably the safest to view up close. These are low-silica basaltic lavas with very low viscosity so they're not explosive. They're red hot though and the heat they give off is palpable; and so the most comfortable distance is one where you don't feel the burning heat. Just stay out of the path of the lava flow and you're fine. Oh -- and upwind. The lavas give off a butt-ton of SO2 and a lot of other gases, and of course it's never safe to breathe in high concentrations of these gases.
Please stop risking your lives for these pictures. The public has been warned to stay away do to critical build-up of gas in the area. It's also impossible to know if a new fissure might open up. It only a matter of time until people risking themselves like this will need to be rescued, and then risk the lives of local rescue teams.
@@brucekuehn4031 I know very well what Icelanders are aware of and what they are not, and the fact there is no force to keep people away, we need to trust people are listening and following the public warning! 2010, a fissure nearly open up right under onlookers of a smaller fissure. 2014 some went to close to a massive fissure as it pushed out large quantiles of toxic gas around them. There is a good reason people are being asked to stay away! It only takes one's to be at the wrong place at the wrong time! People who think they know what they are doing are often the once that are the most danger to themselves and others!
GOOD ......u dont show us that horrible pictures of that three climate-glues.....which.....in a desperate attempt to stop THAT CO2-Monster.....tried to......but they find her master......
So, quick complaining. This volcano only just started erupting and this little bit prepared us for what's to come. Anyway we get what we get. More video will be available when more people get out there.
What an incredible phenomenon to witness in person! Lucky you!
Thanks! All the live stream have the same view. So glad this one shows the fissure.

It looks a lot like Kilauea in 2018.
Hmm. It does look like an archive.
This is Iceland right now, not Kilauea 2018, LOL.
The people there on the right site get very close. Hopefully they were scientist and knew what theyre doing.
I know, right?!!
Don't worry. They're designated sacrifices to keep the Volcano God happy. Highly trained and perfectly seasoned!

@@barnowlwatcher Scientists tell people not to go there, yet, so they are fucked if so2 blows their way. Sar-ICE is not recommending going there atm.
Is it safe to go take a look at this?

Two people are so close to the lava 😮
What the heck these people are doing there? They will collect lava samples? C´mon that is insane
its perspective. they are probably still dozens of meter away.
@@realtruth8162 , hmm. Perhaps an archive video.

Why so short a vid?
it was getting too warm

Relax - the people of Iceland are well aware. Not their first rodeo - 2021, 2022 and now 2023.
You don't have to teach the obvious on YT.

The last one shut down air traffic over Scandinavia for a while (can't remember how long).
There have been around 6 eruptions since the one in 2010 ;)
😂
Thanks for sharing your vague ignorance
