I mean not trying to take away from the “comeback” but it really shouldn’t have even been 5 games drx honestly played better in every single game the issue was they had very bad drafts and made it way closer than it should have been due to drx griefing champ select. I was expecting a 3-0 and it really should have been.

I wouldnt really say that. Dont get me wrong i agree Zeka definitely played really well but scout got just as fuked by bad luck as deft did in game 2 with the inhib. First death he was missing literally 1 energy from killing sylus instead and his second death sylus lived his ult at 12 hp. Thats not a skill issue thats just really really bad luck that you dont expect to happen causing him to fall behind in a matchup he gets outscaled in.

I was at work during this series and just had twitch on my phone set to audio-only. Even just listening to this game, I teared up at that quad and I only started playing League this past year. Sometimes a great underdog/redemption story or a great comeback can speak for itself and this was an epic.

It’s crazy how many LPL teams are centered around Korean players (i.e. Scout, Viper, TheShy, Kanavi, etc.). That displays how amazing LCK players are in general. LCK teams can’t compete with the salary these players are making at LPL, so a lot of players decide to accept the offers to go international. But if you take away these players from LPL, the majority of strength behind the region would collapse.

I entered one adreline rush after another throughout this series, what a performance from drx, omg i can not believe it. Scout has been amazing for a long time but this game 5, the nerves really got him dead to right, like the caster mentioned, he miss calculated the energy in the first death, did not waited for his first item power spike in the second one, after that he handed his adoption paper to Zeka and called him his new father.
For the Last 3 years as a LCK fan, we have been hearing, "LCK is a one-team region".
Now, with actual facts for 2020 to 2022, we can say "LPL is a ONE-TEAM region"
Even tho in 2020, 3 LCK teams made it out of groups, IN 2021, 3 LCK teams made it to semi finals, even after all this before worlds, some people(including some casters) were saying only GENG look strong, T1 looking so weak, DK has only showmaker and canyon, and DRX barely made it out of the gauntlet and LSB was the better team. This setting up of false narratives is insane.

Although game today was great it's kinda early to say anything. Last year rng and edg who were arguably 2 strongest lpl teams were pitted against each other in quarters and went 3-2 so kinda unfair to talk about semis. This year is THE YEAR for LCK in worlds though. DRX played really well and t1 gapped rng (although first 2 games were close). However, its too early to write off JDG as people did to EDG last year for no reason whatsoever. I am calling geng vs jdg finals but if i am wrong i hope we will be at least able to see good league like we did today and yday

Faker and Deft were in the same class in highschool but didn't know each other very well. Faker was already the top ranker onthe KR server(both #1 and #2 were his accounts) and Deft peaked around #20. Imagine if League was a school sport.

You should've seen last years Worlds. LPL fans literally drooling as soon as an LCK team dropped a game "LcK iS a oNe tEaM rEgIOn". Look at the stats - no dispute LCK is consistently performing better than LPL. Plus NO ONE said LPL was a BAD region.. its just that LCK has always played better.
Another LPL banter is LCK is a farming region. Bruh, the last 2 semis was one of the best series of all times....
Lesser teams/region (looking at you, teams in the na/lec) would have buckled after the Game 2 inhib incident. Not in the LCK.

Like LCK teams dont choke hard. Stop pretending there is someting spetial in LCK. GenG colapsed in the finals this spring, SandBox colappsed in play-offs this summer, GenG where chokers before same whit teams like Grifin, or LCK teams in Game 5 where they just cowar in fear and do noting and lose.
Choking and not choking is team specific. You have teams like DRX, JDG and RNG this year that are really resilient and teams like SKT, TES that have bad choke moments, its all up to the players not the region.

In my pick ems I picked RNG to win play in group B and DRX won.
In the groups I picked TOP Esports to win and DRX won.
This time I picked DRX since they have looked good and EDG got stomped in groups by T1 twice but after the 2nd game I thought it was over so I went to sleep but let my old phone on to get the drops. But my old phones battery died after game 4 even though it was charging so I thought it was 4 games total going 3-1 so I quickly fast forward the game and to my surprise DRX won both game 3 and 4.
Fine I will watch the full game 5 when I get home after work so I picked some snacks and got ready, I also opened Thebaus stream since I wanted to collect points but it was on mute, while watching the game 5, my eyes catched the stream from Baus and he was watching the post game interview with DRX and they were in tears so I was like "great I got spoiled" so watching the game when they were like 12-4 I was like how the hell did they threw this? But they won.
After that game 2. Holy heck man. Way to go DRX.

Deft, a pro player for so many years, been a top tier ADC for so long, bears the curse of not making past Quarters at Worlds for so long, and on his 27th birthday, already on the way to serving the military, looking to finally break the curse, misses a heart-wrenching 0.25s window to win G2, comes back and wins the next 3 without tilting. This. Man. Deserves. To. Win. Worlds.
Between this and the RNGxDK series, absolutely insane games - these teams went demon mode for 5hrs+ each day. GGWP
