Yes Emilie, for those of us living paycheck to paycheck, this is our reality!
Emilie M well most amongst us the typical middle class feel the same pressure but I try not to judge on others for spending their money that they worked hard for because in the end of the day it is their choice. spending 100 bucks for a pair of shoes or for a meal, who cares...we want different things in life and anything can be valued more depending on where we want to put our priority on.
Rose I was not at all judging her or anyone who chooses the manner in which they spend their own money... it is their money after all. I support the lifestyle she lives and the way you live and the way I live and the way anyone else lives because that is what's best for her or you or me or them. I honestly was only saying that while I love make up, I love food more and chose to spend the money that I do have on yummy food lmao. Sorry to upset anyone, was not my intention. I love Tati and all her videos! Plus, as she has said many times, she's been in less than ideal money situations before; I absolutely love that she has the life she does now!

Yes that is a good idea. Probably not as good as the expensive side, but sometimes affordable items are surprisingly good and the expensive ones are surprisingly not as good. It would be interesting.

I agree. I could believe it could look the same immediately after application but throughout the day, does it wear the same? It seems I'll wear different shadows in my crease and lid and then after a couple of hours, it all blends to one color. Is that the quality of my eye shadow, primer or poor application?

You should do a video where you try and guess the original vs. dupes in a blind test! No one is doing that right now and also it would get rid of any hidden biases we all might have :) (not that you're bias at all, just a good video idea!)

Yes there are. One example is Hot Mess Mama MD channel. She does video tutorials with high end palettes and their dupes and does that game at the beginning where her viewers have to guess which side is the high end and which is the dupe side. Then she does swatch comparisons, and a tutorial using one side high end and the other with the dupe. I think it's fun. Tati's video is different than Ronda's because Tati does a whole face look.

You should do half of your face using expensive brushes/sponges and the other with affordable brushes/sponges!! I'd love to see how much of a difference it makes if any!
Haley personally i believe brushes and sponges make a biggg difference in makeup but it will be nice to see her put it to the test!

I wear glasses and in my opinion your make-up just needs to be more dramatic so you can see the make-up through your glasses.
Christie Massingill I also wear glasses and after a few hours the makeup on the bridge of my nose is gone due to the glasses. So maybe tips to prevent that?

Hajar Xdei I feel like that video would be hard to do, everyone's skin is different. Since Tati doesn't have acne prone skin, something that doesn't break her out might break you out.

But I ve heard that tati had an acne prone skin because she used to have pimples , I thought she might share some ideas with us
Hajar Xdei I suffer from adult cystic acne and I need a full coverage foundation. I've tried just about every single foundation, drugstore and high end. My two favorite foundations that do not break me out are Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk which is more of a natural to dewy foundation and because I'm more on the oily side I mix it with L'Oréal Infallible and together it makes the perfect foundation. I know the Luminous Silk is expensive, but worth it to me if it's not going to break me out and it looks absolutely beautiful.
the thing is what works for her might not work on you :( you need to do the research and see what is causing your acne and avoid products with those ingredients. good luck!
Double wear would work for you, but get a sample before you buy the full size cuz you never know

I love high end makeup, only because I feel luxurious when I finally get to get something. A lot of the time you are legitimately paying for the name. Sometime high end and drugstore are even made in the same factory. Of course, sometimes, you do get what you pay for. That said, one thing I've found I like better on the drugstore side (other than Lash Paradise) is foundation. I feel like drugstore foundations are better than high end. I honestly have a drawer full of about 70 foundations and the drugstore ones beat the high end to the max.
Would love to see a comparison of how each side wears throughout the day because regardless of if they look the same initially, I want to know if they both have the same lasting power

Omg, I have that Rimmel lip gloss and I LOVE IT!!! It's not super opaque, but I usually use it over a matte lipstick and it brings back all the hydration and just adds this beautiful sheen
