I actually enjoyed this! I had a semi hard time trying to understand why we Christians "cherry pick" certain laws; but your content helped me put the peices together. Thank you and God Bless! 🤍
Thank you brother. Many young men look for meaning today, but too few find it in Christ. Let us strengthen our understanding and faith so that we may attract more followers by being a good example.

why do you use the symbol from the introduction of the channel? isnt it catholic from the Sacred Heart of Jesus? Do some Lutherans know about it and its context with St. Maria Alacoque?
Have only a basic idea of the context, but I love the symbolism of it so we decided to use it The cross+heart is a common Lutheran symbol, so it kind of fits
CZ here. Do any of you know if there is any Czech or Slovak reconquista community? That would be much appreciated 🙏 The thelogocial liberalism seems not as advanced here as in US & western Europe, based on what I hear, but we're just like 10 or 15 years behind - in that time, it would advance just as much. So we also need to prevent mainline churches from going that way, and consequentially, dying out completely..

Amazing video! It filled a lot of gaps for me 😮 I was aware of general distinction objective vs. subjective, but didn't think to apply it on the OT laws, and it suddenly clicks. But about cleanliness laws being surpassed by Baptism - just wow! I had no idea, but it's right there, it's not some cryptic mysterium. This should be taught more! Looking forward to your future videos!
Note: to be fair, Churches _do_ widely teach about the sacrifice of Christ, that it forever pays for us and removes the need for sacrificial rituals. Because that's like the most basic tenet of Christianity, so it would be an outrage to omit that. But it's how you bridge the context with the other points - that's valuable. Thank you, and God Bless!
I remember this one gay pastor say “Christians cherry pick the law.” I knew that was wrong somehow, but didn’t know how to prove it. I also knew deep down that there is a reason to practice the law, and that the law is not useless. Thank you for explaining it all in this video. This video made me tear up. May God bless your soul. Amen!
This is a very good video. I think this also explains why, once you clear away any of the inherently incorrect 'meaning changes over time' arguments that some use to try to justify certain things, the only remaining arguments left are a) 'the exegesis is wrong' or b) 'it's been miscategorised as moral law.' And then the counter-arguments are deployed to argue why the traditional exegesis of the moral laws are accurate and why they are in that category.
Tip: Keep the audience watching by continuously showing pictures. There are icons already here and more photos would help for those with visual imagination. Great video
Why would God give laws, actively say throughout the Bible that the laws are instituted forever, that they are the path to life, freedom, and goodness, and that the laws are easy to follow, if his intention was to eventually abolish the laws, call them a path to death, bondage, and hell, and then finally to reveal them to be an impossible trick? This doesn't make any sense. People think Jesus raised the standard of the Law by teasing out its spiritual implications, but ancient Jewish documents like the Talmud show that the Jews were already well aware of the letter/spirit distinction. But really I think Christianity's exploding the Letter of the Law in favor of the less defined Spirit actually _lowered the standard of the Law._ Now Christians feel relieved that they can eat shellfish while also feeling no obligation to ever forgive their neighbor's debts, or earlier, to ever free [believing] slaves, or to leave a margin of their produce/profits specifically for the poor and wandering. Christians just get to do whatever they feel like while believing they're "saved" in some one-size-fits-all way, and then simultaneously make up their own civil laws in the absence of new ones provided by Jesus. God designed the Law to be BOTH Letter AND Spirit. The Letter is the baseline, and the wise among them will seek the higher implications according to God's granting them the ability. God literally says that the Law is possible to do in *Deuteronomy 30:11-14.* _“For this commandment which I command you today is not too mysterious for you, nor is it far off. It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will ascend into heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’ Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’ But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, _*_that you may do it."_* The only reason this is a problem for Christians is because they made up the idea that God is cruel, with an inherently impossible zero tolerance policy for the mortals he created, whose punishment is ridiculous eternal hell fire, unless you "believe in Jesus," whatever that means. Your false belief that you can never do well is what causes you to do poorly. The laws are not insane, and God doesn't break his promises. Why, after God punished the Jews probably hundreds of times in the past for breaking his laws, without ever abandoning them or breaking his promise to be with them forever, did he suddenly decide they went too far and break his promise? Did God change? Certainly not.
Some food for thought there, but you're making a strawman of Christianity. Well at least of reformed Christianity, to my knowledge. > Now Christians feel relieved that they can eat shellfish while also feeling no obligation to ever forgive their neighbor's debts No. It's that we can eat lobsters, but *do and must* feel obligation to forgive their neighbor's debts. Sermons of Jesus in the Gospels are clear about that, and if you would still ask, Epistles elaborate on it. > ...Christians is because they made up the idea that God is cruel... > ...did he suddenly decide they went too far and break his promise? Did God change? Indeed he didn't! He _fulfilled_ his promise, not broken it. In Matthew, Jesus says that explicitly. Some Christians may have different views on it, but Old Testament is the same Covenant, and leads to Jesus Christ. Otherwise, Christ wouldn't even make sense. Read Gospel of Matthew and/or Epistle to the Hebrews if you want to know more. As for Deuteronomy 30:11-14: "that you may do it" is vague in English - it may not necessarily mean you are _able to do it_, but that you are _tasked to do it_. So I looked up the same verse in Czech ecumenical translation (my native language), and so it is indeed. But what does English or Czech matter? If particular wording is unclear in translations, scholars would have to dig it up in original Hebrew. But I'm not a scholar, just a layman, so that's all I will say on the matter. God bless you! 🙏
It's such a weak argument lol next time they'll probably use "Galileo was killed by the Church" boo hoo as if he didn't get supported by the Church lol 😂 Although a good reading of the NT will clear that up lol
