You did good! Formula Vee is a GREAT racing class. I've been racing Vee's since 1990 and my son now also races one. You'll learn a lot about car control and momentum racing. Vee's are very forgiving, you can get them way out of shape and pull it back in and keep going! The competition is strong as many people have been driving them for years and really know how to make them move.
Hell yeah!! I just bought a 1968 Alexis Mk14 Formula Ford to race in the SVRA series next year. (Have done karting for years) This is a GREAT way to go racing. Lots of participation, really great community, easy to work on, smart move all around. Excited to see how you like it!!
Congrats mate! RUclips algorithms brought me here and I wish you good luck. I do not race IRL but I have a ton of hours on Formula Vee on iRacing. If they are like in the sim, they are so great to learn all basic technics like trail braking and weight transfer and inducing oversteer! On iRacing, downshifting to 2nd gear is very heavy on engine braking; we avoid it as much as possible.
Thank you! Honestly that's so good to know. I always heard most people stay in 3rd and 4th. I'll try it out on track this Sunday and will report back in my next video!!
Welcome to the FV racer club. I love racing my FV. Congrats on the purchase and you are going to be in for the time of your life!

The most fun you will have. I race in the vintage series with my 1968 Lynx b. Next on the calendar is Road Atlanta.
I just stumbled onto this video. You're still young, you'll be great.
Came here from your insta, saw a random reel with you. This seems super cool, cant wait to see what comes next!
