2.) This is my favorite version of Scarecrow. He is legit terrifying and maybe the most evil he’s ever been in this game
Seriously, Asylum Scarecrow was neat in a goofy, campy way that game's art style gave him, but his one? Oh man, easily the best Scarecrow we've ever seen. That calm, gravelly voice, the video effects of his broadcasts glitching out, his absolutely fucked up face modified to resemble his burlap mask... when I think of Scarecrow *this* is the one I picture.

In the diner, if you listen closely you can hear "Only You" by The Platters playing. The same song Joker sang to Batman in City.
i hadn't noticed when i played how similar the models are for poison ivy and the waitress at the diner. they could be twins. 😄
Also u can see someone in a red jacket (the guy who attacks u in the diner) some people say it could be anarchy but the files say “demon Jason”
@@Mystify0324 Feels like it makes more sense for it to be Anarky. The model could have been scrapped and then they reused it and forgot to change the name.
@@Raged_Consumer Why would it ever be anarchy ? Anarchy is hinted towards to be dead and killed by Jason months before the Arkham knights events, and Jason is known to use fear toxin on himself as well so is definitely Jason.

It brings me so much joy watching you get to experience this masterpiece that we had growing up. The Arkham series was a big part of my generation’s childhood. You couldn’t wait to come home from school and play and tell all your friends about what happened. Arkham will always hold a special place in my heart. Rest in peace Kevin Conroy. ❤
it wasn't exactly considered a masterpiece when it first came out. rocksteady actually had to refund some customers. 😄
but for those of us who had no problem with the batmobile being part of required missions, yes it's so much better after a bunch of patches. not sure they'll be able to work the same kind of magic with suicide squad.
@@vinsanity40k Those were only on the Windows issues versions. Meaning, the game being played on the computer. Majority of the people, myself included played it on video game consoles such as Xbox, PS4, etc. and we didn’t have any of those problems. And the reviews gave the game 4.6 out of 5 stars. Something cannot be labeled a disappointment because of a few people’s opinions.
Bruh.. Just type in "Arkham Knight Batmobile" in a search engine. The dissatisfaction with the game was not simply a "few" people.

59:17 Nope. ZERO loading screens. Only when you die or quit the game. Tbh I'm still amazed that they did this on PS4 hardware. I'd be impressed even if this were a PS5 game...
And btw, be sure to pay attention to the little control messages that appear during combat. They're telling you a lot of very useful and powerful combat tips such as potential one hit KO's and environment interactions that are new to this game and add so much to the game's combat system!

GK would have been good if you could actually coop all four players instead of only two. Bought it for me and three of my friends not realizing that the four character game was only a two player game.
We’ve seen that travesty of a game. Not to mention Kill the Justice League. I won’t let that ruin the Arkham trilogy.
while gotham knights was made by the same developers as arkham origins, it wasn't rock steady's baby. then again, there's the suicide squad game that they can't escape blame for. 😄

Yeah, say what you will about the overuse of it in the game, that intro to it is damn sexy and for someone who has been going on a deep dive into the Batman mythos the way Miranda has these past couple months, finally getting behind the wheel of the Batmobile had to be an incredible experience.
The intro where you see Batman for the first time made me so happy. These are the games that got me into Batman and because of them I’m a life long fan

I hope we get to see Miranda react to Miracle of Sound's Arkham songs. Those are great. "I Am The Night" is my favorite.

Been a long time coming, but for sure worth the wait. I cant fathom to see your first reactions to this game and what it has to offer. Most games in 2024 don't look and feel as good as this. Lots of love has been put into it and you are in for a fantastic ride!
I've played this game so much I have every riddle, collectible and side mission location memorized. Speedruning this game is a blast, but I'm more here for story related things that I'm sure I missed or wasn't bothered to pay attention to.

And I'm still enjoying games like Resident Evil, Arkham Knight, Red Dead Redemption 2 and many other, they look better and it runs at 4K and like twice faster on my not that expensive 3 years old PC than some recent ugly and unoptimized garbage.
Miranda, I know you’re excited for this game!!! We all been waiting for this moment.
I wanted to let you know that. (No spoilers, I promise) Whenever you’re on the island, you see threats on the right upper screen. If you eliminate all threats, you get extra XP points.
Tip #1: Explore the GCPD. There is an evidence room that's basically a trip down memory lane...and a gadget that you can get early.
Also, you can talk to the prisoners you apprehend, both major villains and their lackeys.
Tip #2: Doing AR challenges has several advantages. They give you skill points and open up new abilities.
Tip #3: There are 2 endings in the game. One for the main story and one for getting 100% completion. A major advantage to getting 100% is the final Riddler mission. It does not disappoint.
Tip #4: There are 2 types of DLC. The Season of Infamy is accessed through playing the story, each chapter opening as you progress the story. The other DLCs are accessed in the main menu. Most of these should be played after completing the game. The Harley Quinn and Batgirl DLCs are safe to play anytime as they are prequels to the game.
I have been looking forward to this video since you first announced that you were going to start playing this series. THANK YOU for all your hard work and dedication. LOVE the new green screen effects!

YES! Pumped to watch you play this! I always like to play in the Batman 1966 costume. There's something hilarious about wearing that and kicking the hell out of the bad guys in it.
It should have added 'Ka-Pow!', 'Sokk!' and 'Wham!' visual effects when you hit enemies.
Should've played the good ol' classic Adam West Batman theme too, that would complete the experience lol 😂
Would not recommend changing the costumes at all it for first time playthroughs. Ruins immersion.
I must say this Batman introduction game is the best coolest view visual I ever seen on the roof reveal 🙂
Can i just say how amazing it has been watching your journey from back in Arkham Asylum, as a fresh faced initiate to the world of Batman and of Superhero comics, to what it is now in Arkham Knight. Comics are sometimes still treated with stigma even now in the modern day, but those of us who read them know better - that a good comic with fantastic, awe inspiring characters can be just as gripping and immersive as the best of novels or movies.
Probably botching what i really want to say, but bottom line is its been an absolute joy watching someone like you go from knowing nothing about Batman or the world of DC, to becoming a massive fan of the character and the countless books he has starred in.
Hope you have a blast with Arkham Knight, its an absolutely fantastic game and the creme de la creme of Rocksteady's Arkham games.

Seeing Miranda being excited for this game, brings me joy and memories of playing this game for the first time. Really excited to see this playthrough.
Till this day, this is the best comicbook story in video games. The world is fantastic, the acting will blow you away, you talked about how amazing the graphics are. The one thing that might get frustrating are the bat mobile missions, so bare with them and enjoy the crazy ride.
What makes this my favorite Arkham game is the story and the voice acting that goes along with it. Broke my heart, lol
This was so ahead of its time in 2015. I remember getting the midnight release for this. Truly breathtaking. This for reference is that actual full main island of gotham (gotham in its entirety is even bigger but this is the main center city of it). And watching this just makes me miss Kevin Conroy more T_T.

As much as you've worn your love for this series on your sleeve, I knew this game was going to make your head explode. What I didn't expect was the full-on villain monologue at the end of this video about how much you love video games. And did I listen to it all? Yes.

1:14:47 Yeah, you're right; that was it. You were at an awkward angle relative to their body but just so happened to scan the right area. At a better angle you see their ear highlighted the same way everything else was that you scanned. Usually best to be at a face to face angle before you start but you can walk around while in that mode all the same I believe if you need any correcting to see highlighted things at whatever scan level you're currently on.
"waffles are better than pancakes" so controversial, but so true
Mm I'm torn. On the one hand, built in syrup pockets give waffles the edge on eating...but on the other hand I prefer the softer and floofier texture of a good pancake over the more compacted waffle. Both, both are good.
Less controversial and more good taste.
@The Mirandalorian Hey Miranda, loving your Arkham playthroughs! I highly recommend checking the gameplay options for batmobile toggle and turning it on. It'll be very helpful and you won't have to hold the left trigger for battle mode.
I'm so glad you're finally getting to this game as it's a hell of a ride. Also, good job on the new editing style with the green screen. It really helps put your "brand" on the vids by letting your quirkiness run free.
My best advice as a viewer and fellow gamer is: SLOW DOWN. Take a breath and reign in the ADHD. You're so worried about missing hidden stuff that you're missing a lot of obvious stuff. The game will give you plenty of hints, clues, and on-screen cues so that if you take your time, you won't miss much.
Don't sweat the details, and allow yourself to enjoy the ride. We're all here with you.

Also, something you need to be aware of (although others have probably said already): in order to unlock the ending of this game, you have to finish EVERYTHING. Every side-mission, every DLC side-mission and every story-mission chapter. You don't have to do it in any particular order, you can just do the main story and then do all the side stuff later, but if you want to actually FINISH thes tory, you need to do everything.

I always love the amount of details in the diner opening and then as always in all the games but the easter eggs and details in arkham knight is amazing.
As far as a new Batman game I know you played a lot of telltale games and they made 2 Batman ones that a lot of people think as some of their top work
Love the journey you’ve been though the Batman games so far it’s crazy to think this game had some mixed reviews at launch but now I love that the game is getting it’s flowers 9 years later

Asylum, city and origins where out during the ps3/xbox 360 generation where this game came out during ps4/xbox one generation so it makes sense that it looks a lot better graphics wise than the other 3 and personally its my favorite of the 4.

can't tell you how emotional this game makes me. It's such a great game, as a lifelong Batman fan it does it justice. Pity there wasn't a proper follow up
The final Kevin Conroy Batman performance we will ever get is part 3 of the animated Crisis on Infinite Earths movie trilogy plus it will be the last time we get some Mark Hamill Joker performance. Right now part 1 was released a couple months ago, part 2 will be released next month, we don't have a release date for part 3 yet.

Out of all the arkham games, this one is a 100% playthrough MUST!!
Cool! I know these are filmed in advance, but for reference the same button combo that does the car-assist during a fight (X+A on X-Box controller) is also how you interact with anything highlighted in blue during a fight. So if you see a weapon on the ground that's blue, you can pick it up with those buttons. If you see a henchman highlighted in blue near an object, you can do a special move that slams them into it, and so on.
Also this game has the same weapon breaking buttons (X+Y on X-box). In fact you can use that entirely in place of the usual throw (X+B) and, if the enemy has no weapon, it will just KO them, but if they have a weapon it will destroy the weapon.
Fun fact: In the beginning at the diner, when Officer Owen pulls his firearm, if you don’t fire it there will be a new dialogue later at the station.
Instead of the officers talking about how terrible he’ll feel and how he’ll probably lose his badge, they’ll instead commend him and say things like “Can’t believe he didn’t shoot anyone”
An idea for your next playthrough. This game literally has dialogue options for every choice you make

Yeah, can’t wait for you to witness some of the moments in this game, they’re crazy also here’s a tip for you when free roaming if you hear opera music playing, that’s an indication you’re close to one of the various crime scenes in the game.

I love this game so much... it's a fitting sendoff for Kevin Conroy, and the voicework of Kevin, Mark Hamill, John Noble (Scarecrow, and he also played Denethor in LOTR), and Jonathan Banks (Gordon, and who played Mike in Breaking Bad) is just stellar. The mechanics are improved on to their greatest potential in this game, and the bat-feels are real in this game... I hope you have as much fun in this game as I did!
Can't wait to see your reaction to the "Perfect Crime" side mission ending, it's quite a disturbing one. If you'd welcome a helpful tip as well, during tank fights, aiming at their heads takes them out in one hit, as opposed to firing at the bulk which takes two (for normal tanks). Cheers!
Great first part!! Can’t wait to see the rest of the series. After this series is done you should try the injustice series. It’s a great story arc from the comics about the justice league. I won’t spoil what it is.
