    OMG.... That mixing on a plate action is FANTASTIC! I've never seen/heard of that. It's so much better/creamier than mixing on paper. GREAT VIDEO, presentation and voice over. Thanks soooo much.

    What i love about the tombows is that you cab hold the tips together (one horizontal on one vertical) and the ink will flow into the vertical one. BUT they are not ruined! You just paint or letter with it an have a beautiful blend until the original color of the pen kind of "returned" :) just try it or google it first :) its beautiful!

    Terrific video! Thanks so much for the info. I've learn the hard way by jumping in not knowing about what they do. In my classes in Ever after by Tamera Laporte, they use a lot of these products. I have had to buy things that I never knew existed. It's been so long since I had painted, lots of great mew products have been made. I now have more products that are lots of fun to use. I did buy the prima crayons that seem to work great. Also I bought Faber castel crayons because of the price, these I bought first not realizing they were student grade, but they okay. I did buy an open stock Caron D'arch crayon in flesh that was wonderful, very creamy, more so than the Faber castel but still I really like the Faber castel ones. I did learn that I couldn't let the Faber castel crayons sit to long before I activated them with water, they didn't work as well, stayed in the crayon look on the paper. Sometime it wouldn't even activate if left to long on the paper. So this would have been a perfect learning tool for me to watch. It's really a great video for beginners like myself to all of thes products, thanks again.

    Thank you for this. I was struggling with how to draw a semi straight line with a brush. After watching your fabulous tutorial, I was able to use my (previously unused) watercolor brushes, and it worked out beautifully!

    I absolutely suck at drawing but I really enjoy your videos and this one made me really happy as I have watercolour pencils :) As someone who can't draw for her life, I love colouring with them because I like blending colours into one another which is something I can't do with normal pencils. Anyways, I just wanted you to know that I really love your channel and videos :)

    I have those pencils, they are awesome!, so vibrant! I think they are ink and not paint. I'm going to watch all of ur videos before I take the an official class, maybe I won't need the class at all. I love painting but I'm not good at it yet. I buy the pre-printed canvases from craft stores and watercolor coloring books because they are made with watercolor paper. I also bought a Winsor Newton and Prima set of paints, some tubes of watercolor paint and some student brushes! I have Tombows too...cool!! I'm ready to follow along with all if ur videos!

      Hi there! So very sorry for the delay in my response! In this video I used a number 12 round brush made by Princeton Neptune. Here is a link to where you can find it online: www.dickblick.com/items/09080-1012/ Hope this helps and thank you so much for watching! Have a lovely day! :) Best, Meredith

    what watercolor tubes do you recommend for reactivating the watercolor?

    • @brooke9885
      @brooke9885 7 лет назад

      Jaclyn Koester you can re wet pretty much any tube watercolor. The only tube watercolors that i have that has trouble re wetting are the tube artist loft watercolors from Michaels

    I spilled some amount of tube paint into my palettes with close lid. After a few days, I found it hardened... how should I reactivate it?

    • @TheWittyGrittyPaperCo
      @TheWittyGrittyPaperCo  8 лет назад +8

      Hi there! I would recommend either wetting the hardened paint like you would normally with pan paints or you could also spritz the hardened paint with a spray bottle and then let it sit a bit to let it soften back up. Hope that helps and thank you so much for watching! I hope you have a lovely day! :) Best, Meredith

    Do you have to do this on normal paper or watercolour paper

    • @TheWittyGrittyPaperCo
      @TheWittyGrittyPaperCo  7 лет назад

      Hi there! So very sorry for the delay in my response! When it comes to watermedia, you have a bit more flexibility when it comes to paper, as you never use as much water as you would if you were using traditional watercolor paints. You certainly could use genuine watercolor paper and get consistently great results but I think you'd also be okay with a high quality cardstock or nice sketchbook paper. Just as long as you're working fairly dry, you shouldn't need to use watercolor paper. Hope that helps and thank you so much for watching! Have a lovely day! :) Best, Meredith
