While I love the Quicksilver scenes, Makkari is my favourite Speedster Live Action or Animated, just love the scene of her searching the earth for Tiamut and then the scene where she punches Ikaris two dozen or so times 💜
Agreed, Makkari in Eternals was a great representation of super speed in my opinion, and there were no parts of slow motion like with almost every other speedster, which made it more unique
What I love about Quicksilver is that he isn’t some broken cosmic reality breaker like the flash, he’s just a speedster and that’s it. He’s plain and simple and that’s all he needs to be, his speed doesn’t break reality so he feels a lot more grounded compared to the usual dc speed force shenanigans
Nah his powerset literally contradicts his whole thing about not destroying the environment if he moves too fast, he is kinda lame in the comics Marvel treated Speedsters like a fcking joke for so many years, idk where did u find that grounded part, but he Marvel gave him too op power boosts in the comics without any reasonable explanation to his powers also he really has very bad comics.... as of now he is so fast that he can do dimension hopping as well as break reality, he doesn't have any aura like The Flash but somehow he doesn't vaporize everything but there is no literal or plausible explanation how he does it. So the concept of Speedforce is way more creative than getting Speed powers from a gene.
@@DirkDiggler334 Easily my favorite villain in fiction. I just love the pettiness. I kind of hope he gets his own movie or miniseries in the DCU. It could be amazning.
I like Savitar's running. Like in his POV when he runs it seems slow but he is going very fast unlike the other Speedsters who u can see are running fast.
You should maybe talk about sonic since he is also a speedster and also Ben 10 because some of his aliens have super speed as well so I would probably include those two.
Johnny Quick had a very nice portrayal in the recent Justice League Crisis on Infinite Earths animated movie. While he was a member of the Crime Syndicate he was constantly shown to have a bit of remorse and he sacrificed himself knowing that Flash can't return to his universe because they were both tapping into the speed force which made them slower.
I agree, that version was also great. But you have to wonder if things wouldn't have turned out differently if he wasn't already injured and if he knew how to vibrate to different dimensions. Then we might have said goodbye to Barry earlier ... I rewatched Crisis on Two Earths yesterday and Quicks ending ... wow. Not only great because of his characterization but also because he notes that Batman knew this would lead to Johnny's death (and Batmans simply didn't want Flash to go for that reason, which Barry of course would have done even knowing the consequences).
After this video I'm conviced that Thawne controls absolutely everything. Dude is pretty much the personification of determinism, combined with being the biggest simp to ever live, of course.
I was just thinking last night about how in Teen Titans they introduced Mas y Menos who were speedster twins who had the unique weakness of needing to make physical contact in some way to recharge their speed. I'm honestly surprised more people haven't used them in the comics
Those quicksilver scenes are easily my favorite out of any of the X-men movies and I feel like they are so underrated, killer video brotha keep it up!!!
WHY IS MAKARI NOT BEING MENTIONED, imo she was the best showcase of speed from a speedster. i love the quicksilver scenes in xmen i do think theyre the best scenes of a speedster because it was so cool but showcasing speed by slow motion all the time doesnt really give us a great perspective of how fast these speedsters really are.
Ulrich from Code Lyoko might unironically be the most balanced speedster I've seen. He's fast, but not "break time and space" fast, he techniaclly doesn't have speed react since everything on Lyoko is quick enough to dodge lasers, and his speed is limited because (while not explicitly explained) it uses up a sort of MP meter that all Lyoko abilities are tied to (since it's a video game/digital world). If nothing else, he actually has a speedster vs speedster fight that actually makes sense. It's really cool.
@@DirkDiggler334 It's a French-made show that aired on CN back in the early 2000's. It's kinda obscure, so I'm not surprised. All the episodes are on youtube if you wanna check it out. In the event you try the show out and don't like and decided to drop it, you should at least watch his speedster vs speedster fight, which in ep 51.
If I were a Red rush i would take all my team one by one out of this place, it would be so much smarter, but he didnt know the future, so maybe was thinkin Omniman is under hypnosis or something
Yeah, it was probably not a good idea to show him relocating people at the start, so we know he can do that. Without that you could argue he saw no other way to save his friends than fighting Omni-Man and even with his speed he couldn't have run out and informed people without some of the Guardians dying while he talked. But i honestly still think the ending is ok. You can assume that even in the brutal Invincible-universe, where ordinary people get ripped apart by villains constantly, this was an event Red Rush never expected and so he didn't think clear. And Red Rush was ultimately the first victim. He might have reacted differently if Omni-Man already killed one of them, showing that he's definitly not holding back. Also it won't be the last time the show had a battle where people made bad decisions for different reasons. Yet it would still have been better if Omni-Man went after Red Rush first, knowing his abilities would allow him to escape, and/or create a situation where Red Rush only saw one option, thus falling for a trap.
The best representation of speedster for me was from jojo part 6 when pucci the antagonist got the power to accelerates time because in the entire time when he finally got this power, the writer didn't nerf his speed or his power like the flash and other (mostly) dc/marvel speedster for the plot. Instead he almost killed everyone on the main squad and only got stop because one of the side characters defeated him with oxygen. That is how you presented speedster done right for me
I wish you would've included *Rainbow Dash,* because for a magical technicolor pegasus, she's actually pretty deep. Having ADHD, she often struggles between her loyalty to her friends and what's important to them Vs her own ambitions to be a fastest flyer/top athlete/Wonderbolt. Beneath her cocky attitude and "rule of cool" lifestyle, she's actually pretty self-conscious and has a desperate need to feel appreciated. In fact, her entire character can be described as always wanting to go fast, but constantly having to slow down. Also, she's fast AF, able to go warp speed 8, slow down time to a crawl, and even travel to the past and create a paradox
@@Lorddream01 I mean why not a speedster is a speedster. I never even noticed it myself but this goofy ah pony has the speed to rival the flash, plus she can fly.
Red Rush could've keep doing what he was doing at first during the fight against Ominiman which was preventing the others of being hit by Ominiman. This way they would've had a chance against Ominiman
I'm actually a big fan of the Quicksilver from Age of Ultron, since he's a lot more like the comic character. I just wish they hadn't wasted him so awfully.
Love that movie for not giving us less Ezra, but actually two, later even three of them. I think Warner Bros. missed an opportunity in the second Aquaman by not replacing every actor with Amber Heard ..

Now hear me out. Quicksilver is another name for mercury. Mercury is another name for Hermes. Hermes is the god of thieves (which Quicksilver is introduced as). And thieves typically aren't noticed (if they're any good). So I can buy him just saving everyone, then letting himself fade into the crowd while they focus on the blue girl
You forgot an awesome temporary speedster: Fry from Futurama! That whole scene after the 100th cup of coffee was chef's kiss. I still call random things an orange blur to this day
Great video. For me the speedster run and fight scene from "Eternals" was really great in that is showed her speed from an outside pov but it still felt like insane superspeed. Really loved that
That scene where kimiko knocks down A-Train is one of the few actually realistic scenes of a speedster getting defeated, he didn’t see her and so couldn’t react to something he couldn’t see coming. Meanwhile jean grey can suddenly move stuff atleast 20x as fast as a bullet.
My fav speedsters are Wally West and Quicksilver. I love how they're both very intense and they have this internal anxious energy, Wally in particular had a very weird life as his first years as The Flash after he took the mantle, but he grows as a person and as a hero. And quicksilver, he said once in a therapy session that he lives his life like he has to always slow himself down and wait to the world catch up to him, while his mind is running five miles ahead and thinking of may things at once...I found that so relatable to me... I love speedsters😅
Wish you talked about Makkari from Eternals. That's the best live action speedster for me. They didn't use slow motion to show her speed and when we see her running it's so cool
All of these characters are great in their own way! A-Train is the human side, Quicksliver is redemption in the comics, Merkari is just badass and relatable, and then The Flash which in my opinion the most influential speedster who embodies the definition of a superhero are all of them superheroes yes and they all are great but The Flash shows what it is like to be a hero and how being a hero can destroy someone mental health and forget about living in the moment can’t say much about Red Rush and then there’s the Reverse Flash which Diggler you explain amazingly!! Keep it up
Probably obvious by the pfp but my favorite speedster is Sonic. Surprised he wasn't mentioned, as he's easily one of/if not the most iconic speedster next to Flash. Hopefully you talk about him in a part 2, especially the movie version.
I also love Makkari. The Eternals sucked, but that was the coolest looking speedster we ever got. The whole time stopping jazz is nice, but she's the only one that just moves really fast and looks dope doing it.
Hey I just wanted to say that in the end where you wanted quicksilver to get some praise from the people that he saved just saved remember time for speedsters is relative he may have just stood in front of that kid for what we perceived as a couple of seconds but that kid didn't even see him because Quicksilver was in front of him for more than a nanosecond they have no way of knowing who saved them and none of them have seen him before and besides no one has seen a mutant like mystique before where their mutation is a full body thing and she wasn't wearing any clothes, but it really does show just how fast he was cause even beast didn't know who saved them untill quicksilver made him self known
okay I see that, ngl it'd be hard for me to not demand at least a thank you, I probably would've said something. But I guess quicksilver is way more humble than me and doesn't care about people praising him.
Sonic the Hedgehog not being on this list is wild. Also, I feel like because of the mcu, quickly we doesn’t really ever get the recognition he deserves, which sucks. I’m glad you focused a lot on him here
Besides Quicksilver and Makkari, one of my favorite speedsters is yo-yo. She's a marvel comic character and her live-action version appears in the tv show agents of shield (spoilers for all 7 seasons:). Her powers give her the ability to run very fast within one heartbeat, but by the next heartbeat she bounces back to the place she started running from. It's an interesting handicap to give a speedster, she is powerful but not totally overpowered and villains can easily abuse her weakness. Later on in the show she learns to control her powers better and doesn't bounce back within a heartbeat like before, but she did loose both of her arms before learning to do that. The comic version still has the bouncing back, but only when she stops using her powers (with no time limit).
Fun Fact: There are more than a few incarnations of the X-men is which and Quick Silver and Scarlet Witch are Magneto's children. The Super Hero Squad show REALLY leans into this plot line and it's HILARIOUS!!!
Most do, in fact most people knew by the time of „Days of Future Past“, that Magento is going to be his father. HISHE made fun of this by having Erik just casually drop it
The best reverse flash moment is when i went back in time and made Barry have a awkwart moment with his first girlfriend if you know what i mean :). I know its not real but the fact that you could actually believe he would do something like that still makes it funny. Also If Red Rush talking with his girlfriend takes hours how does he not see omnimans slow hand moving towards him. Lastly why does he stand still while hitting him, bro is just starring at Omniman for minutes in his slowed down time. No Omni man isnt as fast as Red rush because if he was then he wouldnt almost have lost to those zombie robots, he would instantly have delt with them.
Thanks for this amazing take on speedsters. I agree with everything. The boys shows the human side of hero’s including our mistakes greed, lust, power, and pride. The X-men quick silver just did an amazing job of showing off those abilities and how awesome they can be along with some great tunes. Let’s be honest tho if he tried to play music while moving that fast wouldn’t the song be slowed down to point of it not being worth listening to lol.
Yes! thats the one thing I learned after uploading this video, someone else commented that and once you hear that you can't not think abt it every time you see those scenes. Thanks for the comment
There’s also the New 52 Reverse Flash, Daniel West but I loved how you phrased your words and thanks a lot for talking about comic Hunter Zolomon! I appreciate this video a lot, I’ll definitely be sharing it!
I have a character in my books named after the Norse god Ratatoskr, and in my books, he's a speedster. He is able to outrun teleportation and is so small that he's commonly unseen. Literallly 6.5 inches tall. A squirrel. All you see is a brown streak with a blue streak as he runs somewhere, though he's able to "turn that off" with focus. For stealth, ofc.
Thing is with Hunter Zolomon/Prof. Zoom, he's a Wally West Flash villain specifically. Reverse Flash was so petty that he thought "Huh. I am Barry's Arch Enemy, I should give Wally his own Reverse Flash lol that'd be funny...." and thats it. He's such a petty ego-maniac that he can't have anyone under the Flash title being happy.
Red Rush and other speedsters like him have what I affectionately refer to as “Reverse Plot Armor” Realistically, they can’t really lose to anyone that isn’t a speedster, so the writers have to give them a lapse in judgement so they’re able to lose their fight
Man I love A-Train, Im glad when people like you understands his character instead of treating him like a soul less villain. People now love him because of season 4, but before that in season 3, he was already showing that he was trying to be better since what happened to his brother. Easily my favorite speedster. Also, it annoys me a little how most speedsters just get this cliche hyperactive personality, Im really enjoying a speedster being taken seriously.
Btw Hunter Zolomon (until very recently) was never a speedster. His powers are connected to the speed force but were time manipulation which allowed him to speed his timeline up faster or slower to make himself appear faster or slower. It wasn’t until 2018 or 19 that he actually became one, but then he “died.” He’s coming back next issue of the flash and we will find out if he’s actually still a speedster or not. He is also the RF of Wally West, not Barry Allen. His whole motivation as the RF of Wally is to make him a better hero through tragedy. He’s so deranged he sees himself as a hero helping to make Wally West a better hero.
Mercury saved everyone of the explosion and still had time to do a break in the middle and eat a whole pizza to then proceed and save the rest of them. So cool.
When the Incredibles came out it was Next level animation and still stands up today for me 💯 has everything from Spy Story to soap opera family stuff next door neighbour Kid 🤣 and history of Superheros and what happened ❤ I think it's a perfect film
Well as a slight nitpick that doesn’t really change much about the R.F it wasn’t that Barry’s suit had some remnants of his power, but rather Eobard recreated the experiment and it also gave him his powers, just as it had done for both Barry and Wally in the past.
I think with Red Rush, the scene with his girlfriend was to demonstrate his impatience; perceiving time slowly makes him impatient and rash where most media would say the opposite
It would depend if a girl I didn’t know randomly asks me to lay pipe, I’d say no cuz that’d be too suspicious, but if I knew her and she was at least a 6.5 then I’d oblige

Agreed, Makkari in Eternals was a great representation of super speed in my opinion, and there were no parts of slow motion like with almost every other speedster, which made it more unique
Makari my fav live action speedster

The Reverse Flash is too goated 😭

@@DirkDiggler334 Easily my favorite villain in fiction. I just love the pettiness. I kind of hope he gets his own movie or miniseries in the DCU. It could be amazning.
@@kingvidster5637 couldn’t agree more
😂 Nah fam yeen seen flashpoint
I like Savitar's running. Like in his POV when he runs it seems slow but he is going very fast unlike the other Speedsters who u can see are running fast.
A speedster video without Sonic is crazy
bro fr why isnt he here??
You should maybe talk about sonic since he is also a speedster and also Ben 10 because some of his aliens have super speed as well so I would probably include those two.
yep most definetly

Boy you said it! Agreed
I want a speedster focused series that shows how op they are until they get bored. Just like one punch man
Just for future reference, I've been here since the channel had 3.12K subscribers.
I was just thinking last night about how in Teen Titans they introduced Mas y Menos who were speedster twins who had the unique weakness of needing to make physical contact in some way to recharge their speed.
I'm honestly surprised more people haven't used them in the comics
A-train and Quicksilver are honestly the 2 speedsters that i love the most, but quicksilver is the one that makes me the most jealous of his powers
@@duckdabro5954 I definitely agree, quicksilver’s not the fastest but he’s my favorite
The “old guy” and bro is talking about SIR Ian McKellen 😭😭😭
fitting here, the old guy being canonically Peter and Wandas Father ..
That whole X Family Tree is more like a blackberry bush.
I mean the great Gandalf 😭😭
Those quicksilver scenes are easily my favorite out of any of the X-men movies and I feel like they are so underrated, killer video brotha keep it up!!!
Quicksilver scenes are everything but underrated. lol, the scenes are good but Fanbois glaze on it too much
Imagine if A-Train just moved to the side a small bit and then thats it for The Boys
Never actually heard of Ulrich but I’m happy you’re putting me on.

Bro i nearly had an essay ready before i saw that the good the bad and the ugly was not talking about the 3 in the front in order
The kids didn't thank Quicksilver because they couldn't comprehend what happened
right and he's so humble he didn't want to brag
If I were a Red rush i would take all my team one by one out of this place, it would be so much smarter, but he didnt know the future, so maybe was thinkin Omniman is under hypnosis or something
Thats exactly what I would do too
Yeah, it was probably not a good idea to show him relocating people at the start, so we know he can do that.
That is how you presented speedster done right for me
My favourite speedsters: XLR8, Sonic, The flash, Quicksilver
Reserve flash was a menace
An absolute menace
No way your expecting him to yap about *checks notes* My Little Pony? I had to look ts up
@@Lorddream01 MLP is awesome and deserves respect !
I completely agree
I love your energy and I appreciate how much energy you put into this video, you and whoever helped.
Thank you!
The fact you put Minato in the thumbnail and didn't put him in is hurtful 😢😢😢
I'm actually a big fan of the Quicksilver from Age of Ultron, since he's a lot more like the comic character. I just wish they hadn't wasted him so awfully.
Nice video! Eobard is one messed up individual. I think he took over Ezra Miller in our timeline ngl😅
Thanks, and I agree
Thank you for that new Head-Canon :)
Love that movie for not giving us less Ezra, but actually two, later even three of them. I think Warner Bros. missed an opportunity in the second Aquaman by not replacing every actor with Amber Heard ..
5:32 I fucking love Johnny he means the world to me but I love the orange hair design instead of the comic design but glad that the new movie with Johnny kept the accent
The accent is a must!
😂😂😂 damn that’s creative, so did he run their pockets while saving them too?
Also officially hermes is the god of speed
You forgot an awesome temporary speedster: Fry from Futurama!
That whole scene after the 100th cup of coffee was chef's kiss. I still call random things an orange blur to this day
Trust me I love futurama and I remember that scene
Great video. For me the speedster run and fight scene from "Eternals" was really great in that is showed her speed from an outside pov but it still felt like insane superspeed. Really loved that
No fast character will ever outrun The Quickster.
The mini-rant about you complaining Mystique taking all the credit from Quicksilver is hiliarious
😂😂😂 thanks!
few people talk about Godspeed from the comics
Im working on a vid, and I mention him. Hes the siphon speedforce from other speedsters and can be in 2 places at once speedster right
This video is definitely gonna blow up
My fav speedsters are Wally West and Quicksilver.
@@leonis5664 I love speedsters too
Wish you talked about Makkari from Eternals. That's the best live action speedster for me. They didn't use slow motion to show her speed and when we see her running it's so cool
I definitely gotta do a part 2, I’ll touch on her
@@DirkDiggler334 thanks. I appreciate it. You should talk about XLR8 from Ben 10 as well
@@Knull-ug3mi yeah I will I had a clip of him in this vid but it was just a clip
Keep it up
Thank You!
Im starting to agree
Reverse flash is the most relatable superhero in all of fiction and real life
Reverse Flash is even worse than you described 😅
Oh no!
Sonic the Hedgehog not being on this list is wild. Also, I feel like because of the mcu, quickly we doesn’t really ever get the recognition he deserves, which sucks. I’m glad you focused a lot on him here
so we not gonna talk about the goat of all speedsters sonic the got damn hedgehog
Don't worry i'm abt to drop a pt 2 soon and I plan to
Besides Quicksilver and Makkari, one of my favorite speedsters is yo-yo.
Dude thats crazy i've never heard of her before but imma check her out now.
that A-train running through robin scene is god tier
Sonic, who's literally faster than time and space: Am I a joke to you😠?
Quicksilver mutant scenes is one of the best scenes done right for every speedster movie I have watched so far.
Personally find it the worst. It focuses too much on time in a bottle instead of showcasing the rush of speed
Thanks for the comment
why am I saw happy that he showed fasttrack from Ben 10

I have a character in my books named after the Norse god Ratatoskr, and in my books, he's a speedster. He is able to outrun teleportation and is so small that he's commonly unseen. Literallly 6.5 inches tall. A squirrel. All you see is a brown streak with a blue streak as he runs somewhere, though he's able to "turn that off" with focus. For stealth, ofc.
That sounds cool and different, nice!
What are the books called?
@@stormichow5325 The Village of Higher Beings and The New World. TNW is my new one.

Great list, I'm throwing in Flora from I'm a Virgo. Loved her story and how the speed of sound is too slow for her ♥️
Hearing you refer to Sir Ian McKellen as "the old guy" hurts 😂😂😂
Red Rush and other speedsters like him have what I affectionately refer to as “Reverse Plot Armor”
Realistically, they can’t really lose to anyone that isn’t a speedster, so the writers have to give them a lapse in judgement so they’re able to lose their fight
U crazy for commenting this consistently throughout 2 weeks lol
so ur telling me that i watched the whole video waiting for minato just for bro to not talk about him

It is a CRIME to put Minato, my favorite character in fiction, on the thumbnail, without talking about him 😭
My favorite is zoom. Imagine horror slasher with flash powers
@@Agote_001 I want speedster to be taken more seriously too
Btw Hunter Zolomon (until very recently) was never a speedster.
Quick silver didnt save everyone he couldn't get havoc 😔
almost eveyone
Mercury saved everyone of the explosion and still had time to do a break in the middle and eat a whole pizza to then proceed and save the rest of them. So cool.
When the Incredibles came out it was Next level animation and still stands up today for me 💯 has everything from Spy Story to soap opera family stuff next door neighbour Kid 🤣 and history of Superheros and what happened ❤ I think it's a perfect film
That same scene caught my attention and made me a fan of this series, it definitely caught me off guard
Johnny Quick has a really good redemption arc, cheers
Yessir! cheers mate
In a part 2, could you talk about Straight Cougar from S-Cry-Ed? Good video. Love speedsters myself. ⚡
be real if a girl asked specifically you to lay pipe youd be jumping for joy
It would depend if a girl I didn’t know randomly asks me to lay pipe, I’d say no cuz that’d be too suspicious, but if I knew her and she was at least a 6.5 then I’d oblige
