I played trough the ps4 version of the game in the first week it came out (no Iki dlc back then). But when I restarted on the PS5 version I went to Iki after I got Jin's family armor and finished Yuriko's questline. Made the most sense to me story wise.

The DLC does get kinda hard, what really pushed me to start spamming ghost weapons in some bases, it also really breaks the lid off in terms of fashion. Headbands look cooler, some unique skins for armors can be found with puzzles (references to other PS games). The new grappling hook thing kinda just makes some parkour segments take longer, though. The chanters and the double-sided sword guys were always a headache for me, forced hard prioritization of targets (maybe even above archers).

Also my boy theres shrines that when you pray to you will get better drippy ah versions of armours here are the armours that can get Ghost armor with a cool mask Kensei armour black versio Best one. Sakai armor which has god of war variant You can get those variants if you find the shrine
So there are some secret armor skins on iki, like a god of war skin for the sakai armor and a bloodborne skin for kensei armor. These skins are by far the most badass skins in the game so if you wanna get em you should watch youtube videos on how to do the riddles cause they make absolutely no sense
you should make a supercut of the full series after you finish the dlc, some bigass video mashing them all up together with maybe a slight faster pace of the editing

Hey want to let you know that this isn’t after the main story, when Jin says khotun khan is dead he’s lying very well, the lines are the same before and after the story and from what I know the entire game you are still a Sakai and a samurai, the main story point in this is Jin hiding that he’s Jin Sakai the son of the butcher of iki aka his dad kazumasa, but he’s still a samurai when this happens because he was bluffing when he saw the eagle to try to get her to think he was strong or dangerous to let him go.

If you still are looking for recommendations, I highly recommend Cyberpunk 2077 as the next game. And if you ever try to do anything w/fans, I recommend Ghost of Tsushimas's Legends mode(albeit it's a little bit of a grind to get to the good stuff)

The expansion is only like 5-6 hours when not exploring, but completing it and getting everything is 15 hoursish at the most
