Getting to the port really is easy, forget GPS because at times t will take you to the cargo area. Nice and easy, NJ Turnpike to exit 14 A pay the toll and straight ahead you will see 440 south take that one light to COSTCO and make a left hand turn there will be a Starbuks for those who need it and also a CVS if you forgot anything.Important once you get on 440 south stay in your left lane .
Crusing in 2 weeks and driving into port ..This was by far the most informative video of all the ones I watched. Should be a breeze to get there now. Thank you ...PS .for some reason my dog was intrigued by your voices and watched the entire video with me. Haha
This is an awesome video. My grandmother is originally from Newark, New Jersey, and she moved to Louisiana as a child. I have never been to New Jersey but I kind of want to now. It is fascinating to find out how close she grew up to Bayonne. I have never been farther north than I believe Tennessee.
Bill Cassill parking was fine, we were coming in while people were leaving. But I can tell you we were some of the first to leave and there were plenty of open spots
Okay I see you dropped off luggage first at #5 then proceeded to garage. Upon return did you have to lug luggage to car? Do they have elevators in garage to assist? Thank you for the video. Something learned long ago, driving in such areas, reliance on GPS to much can be a problem. The first time you see a sign for Cruise terminal start following those and ignore GPS instructions! Areas such as this, Washington DC 95 South etc constant construction and rouets can literally change from day to day. NO GPS stays up with it all.
Yes on the return was a little Long because of US customs. But After even in the rain it was covered all the way to the garage, just pay or validate your parking before your car. there is only 2 elevators and they get busy, true about the GPS and Signs, I bet it's a bit different since the video, they were under construction. Safe Travels!
Thank you for the reply. We sail the Anthem in December. We sailed the Adventure out of Bayonne last May but didn't use the garage. Instead we stayed at Hilton Garden Inn in Staten Island, short ride to the pier. They provided 7 day parking and shuttle to pier and back. It was little more than room cost. We did that because it was Memorial Day weekend and concern was traffic to Jersey even though we are in NY only about 2 hours from Bayonne. Worked out well but we were off ship very early and had to wait for shuttle bus until 9:30 am. This trip will still stay at Garden Inn guaranteeing we are close to pier in morning but will take my own car in. This way can head right home from the pier. Thanks again for video and prompt reply. George in NY
Entertaining and informative. Thank you for making your directional mistakes; We learned from you and lessened the probability of us doing the same :) (thanks!)
Nice video, you can see all the crazy construction they're doing in Bayonne on 440! If you're driving get to the port early to avoid the crush of cars, and buses. Use the garage if you can and not the outside parking lot. The garage WILL FILL UP and you might be stuck hoofing in from the regular parking lot to the terminal if you get there later. (get there by 10am and your experience will be easy).
dreamer 13 we purchased the tickets at a AAA travel show. They were giving away a few perks. Beverage upgrade was another along with a 100 dollar gift card. Safe travels.
This was great...thanks

It's all less confusing to me now. Thanks for the video.
How did you get free parking???

Where were you coming in from? We are trying to plan hotel stay day before our cruise and wanted to avoid heavy traffic.
we just crossed the George Washington bridge at 9am, but it was a Sunday. so little to no traffic
I would try to find a hotel that offers shuttle service to the port. It's probably the easiest way.
Thanks for the Video. Should help us for our cruise next month.
Thanks for the great video. I'm at ease for our cruise next year
I went on that Cruze
