You've covered a lot of Scorpions songs. But I think you have missed a huge piece of the band. The original, founding member, Rudolf Schenker is an amazing musician and singer. Klause gets all the credit (which is well deserved), but they have someone else who is an A-list rock vocalist as well. A multi-instrumentalist (though mostly rhythm guitar), a power-house of a vocalist, the main song-writer for the band, and he deserves a lot more credit. Check out the MTV Unplugged version of "Love is the answer". It's a different sound than what you might expect from Scorpions, but it's pretty amazing. His voice is a bit warmer, deeper, a little more gravel in it... You have barely explored the tip of a pretty massive iceberg with this band. There is so much more to uncover.
i think he's one of the best singers in rock or hard rock/metal overall. just where his center range is so forward and super powerful, not to mention his insane range during his whole career. just if i had to pick between all the most celebrated greats in rock he'd be hard to beat and easily in top less than a handfull.

Klaus has an incredible voice and what I've always loved most is that you can hear his German accent very subtly. Especially when he says "the".. Hands down one of the greatest vocalists in rock history.
His accent makes him so unique, personnaly I really like "Blackout" (the song) for many reasons but one of them is clearly the way he says "black", that's so German lol. I am from Alsace, France (near the German border) and these guys are gods to us. People from my region have a kinda german accent and my biology teacher used to say "black" in the exact same way, I found it so funny lol.
Absolutely!!! Klaus is the man! I am German as well and I do sound a lot like him when I sing. I put out a solo album but there are no vocals as I feel that the world does not need two Klaus singers. It is totally instrumental. I have been playing guitar for over 40 yrs and tried to do something as unique as possible. I created my own sound and I think you might like it. Check out Daniel D. Klaus always had a unique voice. It's really what I liked about their music. We just saw them in concert about a month ago. He can still belt it out even at 74 years old!
I seen them in Seattle last month and they were off the charts amazing. I seen them for the first time in 1980 and they were better today than they were then. The light show was one of the best I have seen!

Klaus is an absolute monster vocalist. So underrated. And he's been so good for so long. I'd love to see you react to Holiday. It's fantastic vocally, and basically 2 songs in one.
I was so lucky to be in Berlin when the Scorpions played at the Opera House with the Berlin Philharmonic. I was still in school back then, and our teacher said we had to visit a "cultural event". A friend of mine and I asked him if the Scorpions would count as such, and he said yes. So, we got some money from the school that we would normally would have spent on theatre tickets and were able to afford the tickets for the concert. It was awesome, and I'll never forget it!
I'm so glad to see that you picked this version, probably the best one out there. I have to mention that here Klaus is 54 years old, but you can't really notice any signs of vocal aging! My recommendation for your next reaction would be 'We' ll burn the sky' in Sun Plaza Hall in 1979, outstanding performance!
The other live versions that I selected were dubbed, so. I truly wanted a live performance that wasn't overlayed with a studio version. This one is utterly AMAZING!
@@TheCharismaticVoice the scorpions do a cover of The Rolling Stones song Ruby Tuesday. Klaus really shines in this song. Although to be fair Klaus really shines every time he sings.

His voice has always been so strong and yet sweet at the same time. Such control and sustain, one of the best voices in rock. Still going strong to this day.
Do you know Clause blew his voice out. He was told he could never sing again. I saw his dream come true, play in a stadium in America. I saw it, summer strut, the best performance by far compared to the other groups. Iron Maiden, Foreigner, Lover boy and Scorpions. Rudolph was incredible, Memory burn .
My favorite band of all-time. The only band older still touring is The Rolling Stones as Scorpions are 57 years old this year forming in 1965. Incredible ! I treasure every year that Klause and Rudolph are still on this planet.
I would sit on the beach at night and listen to this song and Winds of Change at their height of popularity. Such greatness. Always love watching you. Thanks!!!!
Klaus has one of the best voices in all of rock. Still does. He also has one of those unique voices you can instantly tell who he is by a mere word. The Scorpions will forever be my favorite band. They're one of those once in a lifetime groups.
I grew up listening to the Scorpions in the early 70’s all the way through to their newest release in 2022! It’s safe to say they’re one of the best bands ever to walk the planet! You could spend months listening to and analyzing their sound and musical changes through a 50 year period - and you would enjoy every moment of it!!! Thank you!
In my late teens, I would listen to a lot of hard rock, far too loudly. My mom, (God rest her soul) would always try to find redeeming qualities in whatever I was listening to, at any given time. Klaus and The Scorpions were always a standout to her. She grew to love the ballads, and even some of the rockers. I recall with much fondness and love, her numerous insightful critiques on Klaus' voice, which helped me appreciate music with much greater depth, than I did, at the time. Music touches us all in such unique ways. She also really appreciated Dio too, which puzzled me, at the time.
This song is a greatest masterpiece of all time. Perfect harmony, perfect melody, perfect voice and ideal interweaving of all tools into a single whole. Perfect beauty.
I agree. I just purchased the DVD on eBay and I just can't quit playing it. (not that I'm trying). It's just amazing to me to see that many talented people in one place and all of them just having a blast just doing what they do! It really comes across in the DVD.

I thinkbyou would love the version of Send Me an Angel with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Berlin and Zucchero. The beauty of the contrast betweenbthe voices of Klaus and Zucchero and the orchestration is just, as you would say, exquisite. I love this channel BTW, thanks!
I was at this concert! I can not even explain how well and how much thought was behind this performance! I've attended their concerts before, but this one was amazing!!!! My favorite song of the concert was "In trance". There was a light issue during the performance, they kept playing, and they played it again in order to get recorded correctly.
He voice is angelic. He could stand in the corner of a cathedrals hall and if he starts singing it would automatically draw you inside to find out what is happening to you.
I liked this version, but for me I think that the original has more of an "emotional" impact. The way Rudolf Schenker and Mathias Jabbs play the guitars on the original is incredible. You can just feel the emotion they all put into the song.
I have had the pleasure of spending one night listen to Klaus and the Scorpions perform live. His voice is so good that you feel more like you are in the studio and not a 10,000 seat concert venue.
They have been making music, for over 50 years!!!!! Not many GREAT bands can say that.....amazing band. Scorpions were my first concert, 1985 @ Cow Palace in San Francisco. (An up and coming Bon Jovi, opened the show.....ticket price: $15!!!!!!!!)
Klaus Meine and Scorpions are truly amazing! Another live performance of them that really shows Klaus ability is ther song ”Always Somewhere”! Great analysis as always!
Klaus is absolutely an awesome vocalist. Consistently great, even after damage and surgery. And as for Scorp's...those guys just don't know how to write a bad song.
This music takes me back to the years of being in highschool. When I was surrounded by so many veils and curtains of darkness that I could not control. This music gave me love and strength to move beyond them. 🤘😑❤️. Thank you for this. Never stop bringing the music back to the front.
It amazes me that when I think of scorpions I think of hard rock like “rock me like a hurricane” and you seem to find every ballad in the world. The 80s we’re about fun and excitement. Grunge was about angst and sadness and despair. Power ballads were a unique part of the music genre.
The studio version of the song is a much more simply arranged acoustic rock ballad. The fact that this one has a female choir, string section (and a cello solo), then all of a sudden it turns into a jam session with a jazz piano solo, proves one thing: when you have a good song, any arrangement works. That's why symphonic orchestras can cover 8-bit music from old-school Nintendo games or extreme metal bands can cover Britney Spears and it just WORKS. Good music is good no matter what it sounds like.
Is difficult to recommend something by Scorpions.... They have so many great songs and Klaus has such an iconic voice.... I would say just sit and listen to their entire discography
Absolutely! Seen them in 1984" Love at First Sting tour in U.S. won tickets for Rudolf Schenker's B-Day at a bar in Georgetown,1989 Monsters of Rock, then took my youngest to see them in Columbus, Ohio, on a 50-year anniversary tour. They are my favorite band and still upset how they get looked over in Rock n Roll Hall of Fame!! Let them in they deserve it.
@@logankipfmiller2044 Pretty much anything from their 70s era is killer. We'll Burn the Sky is probably the greatest ballad ever. Think she should give it a try.
Klaus is one of the greatest singers of all times. Scorpions are so versatile in their music that make them one of the greatest bands. The Athens acoustic concert is also marvelous.
Glad to see Scorpions back on TCV. A great ballad. Always Somewhere from the same concert or the song Holiday would be great one to do next. Or if you want to go heavier check out either The Zoo, No One Like, Rock You Like a Hurricane or Big City Nights.
After all the ballads I think it's time for metal singer Klaus. How about In Trance, Wacken 2006. A very special performance, featuring both Uli Roth and Michael Schenker.
Yay! Scorpions! Absolutely recommend The Zoo - Berlin 1990! Or 'Born To Touch Your Feelings' - I personally love the original one from 'Taken By Force' released 1977. Unfortunately there's no acceptable live version available, only a still life of the album cover is shown in the YT video. But the interpretation is much more emotional than the MTV unplugged one, you find as top search result.
This song was on the radio when I drove home late Saturday night. My older brother loved The Scorpions and I'm sure this was a way to say hello. He passed away in March last year after a tough life just three days before his 51st birthday. I love and miss you, brother ❤
In my opinion there are some singers in the world, if they are singing you aren't hearing it only with your ears. You also listen it with your heart and Klaus Meine is on of those singers.
It is so good to watch your reviews/reactions on some of my favorite bands. You give such wonderful insite on what makes a vocalist sound the way they do and the techniques they use to get there. This is what sets you apart from other reactions out there. It is not subjective and about who is the best or what song is the best. We all have our tastes in vocalists, but giving details and techiques makes me understand why my ears like a specific sound, tone, pitch, etc. Thanks so much and i look foward to more reactions.
Thanks so much for doing this one Elizabeth. I remember getting this DVD back in early 2k and never heard anything like it in terms of production and muscial/vocal performances. To this day it stands as one of the best performances on DVD or Bluray you can buy (for us anyway) :). Oh and Klaus smokes Send Me An Angel in this one!!! Beautiful performace. Oh and listen to it in full DTS 5.1 for an out of this world experience.
I'm a total layman, but what I find fascinating about Klaus Meinl is that he is phenomenal at being emotive and getting the message across, although - per se - I am not the biggest fan how his voice sounds (compared to other great singers) - but he it is always joyful to listening to him. Scorpions success is definitely based on his consistent high quality output. Kudos
I think this is one of the top 10 best rock ballads ever, great reaction, if u want to check out more Scorpions, No one like you and Rock You Like a Hurricane
The last time I saw Scorps live was in 99' they shared the main stage w/ Motley Crue and Scorps were on point the entire night and I think it was the best I ever heard Klause live his voice was perfection. He is probably the best live vocalist I've ever heard.

I agree, this is a beautiful version, but the original version hits deeper.
The original's intro is textbook "heaven on earth"
Talk about Rudolf Schenker When do you plan to select a song by his little brother Micheal Schenker
(ehiter Ufo or Micheal Schenker group/msg)
I have had the pleasure of spending one night listen to Klaus and the Scorpions perform live. His voice is so good that you feel more like you are in the studio and not a 10,000 seat concert venue.
Check for a message from TominConcord.
As a huge fan of the Scorpions (and your channel), I was really hoping you would get around to Send Me An Angel. Looking forward to it.
Yay!
Another unique voice.no one else sounds like klaus.looking forward to this and for once I won't be working and can join the chat
Love this song. I usually don't care for live versions of songs and wasn't sure what to expect, but this was actually very good.
Is difficult to recommend something by Scorpions.... They have so many great songs and Klaus has such an iconic voice.... I would say just sit and listen to their entire discography
World Wide Live album is badass. Start there and get ready for some really freaking awesome stuff 👏.
@@fernandovega5722 Then after that listen to Live Bites! I dare say that one is almost better
This song honestly saved my life too many years ago.
Klaus is one of the greatest singers of all times. Scorpions are so versatile in their music that make them one of the greatest bands. The Athens acoustic concert is also marvelous.
One more German singer I love and have seen live in concert!
I'm been a Scorpions fan since Lonesome Crow. Klaus' voice is magical. What a talent!
Lonesome crow and fly to the rainbow are great albums very few ever mention or know about! Two of the best in my opinion
Just watch the whole concert, youll love it!
Glad to see Scorpions back on TCV. A great ballad. Always Somewhere from the same concert or the song Holiday would be great one to do next. Or if you want to go heavier check out either The Zoo, No One Like, Rock You Like a Hurricane or Big City Nights.
So many good songs to get to. Next year, FOR SURE!
@@TheCharismaticVoice You cant run out of good Scorpions songs, dont think I have heard a bad one, ever.
I'll add a thumbs-up for each one of those recommendations!
This song was on the radio when I drove home late Saturday night. My older brother loved The Scorpions and I'm sure this was a way to say hello. He passed away in March last year after a tough life just three days before his 51st birthday. I love and miss you, brother ❤
I didn't know they did an acoustic version of this song, but I like it better than the normal version.
Music is such a joyful thing - I love how much joy and excitement she gets from watching something new.
What a great choice. I am absolutely loving this!
Klaus is just amazing.
The last time I saw Scorps live was in 99' they shared the main stage w/ Motley Crue and Scorps were on point the entire night and I think it was the best I ever heard Klause live his voice was perfection. He is probably the best live vocalist I've ever heard.
This is one song by the Scorpions me and my wife Really enjoy.
I've seen them twice.
My wife never heard of them until I introduce her to the Scorpions.
Now she LOVES The Scorpions
One of there Best songs.
But the Scorpions have alot of Great songs..❤❤
