Two years ago I learned to solve the cube. Inspired by you I decided to set a goal to become sub 20. Last weekend I attended my first competition and got a sub fifteen average. Thank you Tingman :)
I raelly like how you get most of the family in on the videos and how you and TNL CUBING have a so called rivalry and how you still support each other and get along really well
10:04 reminds me when I decided to judge for finals on one of the rounds, but literally the runner didn't bring a single scramble to my station, so I technically sat there for like 20 minutes without doing anything
Update: I went to another comp last week, 2nd round I was judging, sat in the corner/most left station, and no runner gave me a cube, and what's even weirder was when a runner finally gave me a cube, the delegate said that the competitor was suppose to compete on the other side so he was moved all the way to the other side of the room- and I missed my chance to judge again (wasted time AGAIN lol)
It is so wholesome when Tingman includes Tingboy in the tumbnail. It feels like clickbqit telling me to click but seconds later, I realize it is real. So wholesome.
Hey tingman, just want to say thank you for putting captions on your videos! I'm sure there are a lot of people who are hard of hearing and really appreciate it
Tingman, you'd best keep up with your cubing practice! Tingboy and Olor are starting to get the hang of cube solving! And they're also learning new puzzles too! Gotta find time between work to make sure the bills get paid on time!😊👍
I’ve never went to a comp because I was scared I wouldn’t be fast enough and didn’t know what to expect so this is great to see. Just curious I average about 25 seconds on 3x3 what do most people who go to comps do.
I went to a comp when i got 50 seconds - 1:20 seconds so do not be scared! :) I think you will go just fine! People im the comp I went to were just like you! Just do it, don’t think about just do it!
The average is around 20 seconds, but you don't have to go to be quick, you can go to meet people and have fun, so don't worry about being too slow, you will have a lot of fun.
Hey tingman, fellow aussie here. I love watching your videos and was wondering. I want to go to a comp but my averages and PBs are 3x3 - about 3 minutes, 2 mins 27 sec pyraminx - 28 seconds, 14 sec 5x5 18 minutes, 10 mins 16 sec clock - 2 minutes, 1 min 2 secs I also like solving corn cubes. But I dont think I am good enough in averages to go in to a competition. I also dont know any fast algs even after watching all of yours and Jperms tutorials. If you could give more info in a video some time it would be really helpful to me. Again really love your videos I hope to be like you one day (also use code olor at daily puzzles lol code tingman when i feel more masc) from your big fan (gender fluid (reffer to me as xe/xem)) Xyro
I actually answer this question in part 2 of the vlog! And I basically say that each comp states the cut off times for each event so you can just check to see if you qualify.
@@Tingman k thanks so much.. I really didnt expect you to actually reply i expected someone random but I will watch out dor that video.. Could you also plzz tell olor and ting boy they are amazing cubers and congrats to tingboy for that sub 1 that was sickkk

Olor is actually insane at 3x3 lol, Tingboy also improved a lot since his last competition
Yeah sub 20 average is an impressive but possible feat with a bunch of months/1-2 years practice depending on how fast you beat PBs and averages
