Favorite indicator that I think you haven't done yet? I'ma go with _PMAR & PMARP_ by The Caretaker. Open-source indicator.
PMAR = Price Moving Average Ratio
PMARP = Price Moving Average Ratio Percentile (IMO this is the better setting but your 1337 backtesters can see for themselves).

Martingale is for gamblers not traders. that is only my opinion. thanks david as always.
Martingale is only good when you have a strategy that has profitable trade percentage above 70%. Still needs babysitting to ensure it doesn't wipe out an account. Max losses in a row should be 2 or 3. Depends totally on risk appetite.

Love your content. I'm a member as well. What do you think about martingale trading where you double your lot sizes after 5 trades? For instance If I took 5 trades and I only won 2/5. Then Ill double my risk for the next 5 trades. Hope I make sense.
There are TradingView indicators/strategies available for free that can help you simulate and test your ideas. However ultimately you will experience draw downs that this type of strategy can't recover from. Regardless of how compelling these strategies appear, you are much better off trading other strategy types. Just saved you years of trial, error and ultimate failure - you're welcome.

Thanks for the video. I had done really well on Martingale, however, the price leapt up, and my OKX Futures DCA got stuck as the prices drops and alll my safety order were filled on the way down. Ended up loosing 40 K. Think the sauce could be to have a firm take profit price. Keen to know you thoughts.
There is no solution to save a Martingale / DCA strategy when the market moves against you, except unlimited capital. Your experience is common. Daviddtech has so many better strategies you could use. Investigate those. All the best with your future trading.

You are either a smart person or experienced or both.
Martingale is a bit similar to very high win-rate strategies. Lots of wins, but the losses really hurt.
Massive draw downs though and ultimately you'll get stuck in draw downs you can't recover from.

in the end yes, math proves it, but if you combine a good winrate with it, sky is the limit before ground haha
100%. And it's worse than that. You could be trading other strategies that perform better with a fraction of the risk. The risk AND the opportunity cost for Martingale / DCA are too high.
