Nice video, king county fish and game needs to be in charge and clear out these log jams. There man killers. So dangerous. Nice post. Thank you. I've been all over that green since the 60s when I was a kid riding my bike down there from Federal Way. The carbody hole below Soos creek was a good one in the 60s. Hundreds a day would be on the bank. Fish would be coming out all day long. Things have certainly changed. Disgraceful
I fished in the '80s when I was a kid my dad would drop me off at Highway 18 I'd walk down the car body hole in December we used to always get our winter run things have sure changed it's the first time I floated it and probably 15 years with all those log jams I certainly won't be back thanks for watching👍🎣
also I contacted King County about the log jams King County referred me to DNR DNR referred me to Flaming Geyser Park for some reason flaming Geyser Park referred me to King County so I just figured out it's a bunch of government running around.
I remembered one giant jam. Was down quarter to half a mile below Soos. It's above the big bend hole and below the car body hole. It had fifteen foot on height. 12 feet or so. And thick with massive big stuff piled high. Very disappointing looking at that.
Nice video Aaron. Dayton was practicing Bass fishing on the first cast under the tree. Good thing you didn't have my fat B and gear weighing you down, the extra 1/4 inch draft in that shallow runs 😮
I had a question - you showed a creek that you labeled Newaukum Creek but that seems like it would be an incredibly long drift to Hwy. 18 even without the 3+ hours of portaging. What am I missing? Enjoyed the video!
