Just wanted to mention that with the amount of leftover parts in the WISM line it's actually very easy to flat out get an entire megami device body. Combining the spare parts of the WISM line and the ASRA line (including the unarmored limbs) you have about 90% of a completed body. You can complete this by either using extra parts from Jaeger Edelweiss (she has both the missing shoulders and the chest to torso connection) or using the top MSG set along with D7 from hexagear booster 1 and polycap PC B from frame arms girls.
The Megami Device WISM Soldiers are basically the expensive 30 Minute Sisters. or 30 Minute Sisters are basically the cheaper Megami Device/ Frame Arms Girl.
Yeah couldn’t have said it better my self! Even the torso on both lines remind me of each other, and they both are blank canvases for us to paint with and create our master peace the perfect waifu!
I do love how basic these are. They're just about designed to be customised with the MSG kits. The multi-axis backpack's pretty cool as well. It is a shame though that they didn't expand these a bit further and make more roles or accessories to use with the weapon connector points or the helmets. Also if you have the bonus comics from one of the later kits, you'll note that the stem of the stand can also be used as an accessory. Although that's more on the silly side.
The msg options parts bottom are adding more in and outward movement and also give them a thicker hip part the top part sadly doesn't work with other neck parts as it is a new mold that is a diffrent size so you are stuck in the colors you bought also they give you a smaller and slimmer upper body. So now you can custimize the silhuette of the kit without needing putty etc.
I actually built a custom megami scout for your kotobukiya competition back in 2019, but couldn't finish it in time due to breaking the piece that connected the torso to the lower body and not having a extra kit on me to repair it. Although I couldn't take part in the competition, it taught me many important things. I hope I can participate once again when everything is sorted out.
Thanks for the clarification Zak, reading the description on USAG I was absolutely under the impression the WISM kits included 2 complete models per box, was wondering why they were so cheap! Box Contents 2 Megami Device Wism Soldier Assault Scout figures Busou Mode Sotai Mode
Ugh I have this kit it has of alot problems on my end here, wrist just explodes out of nowhere for some reason so I have to sand them and the shoulder ones will likely break on you so sand them aswell.... It really had that old kotobukiya model kits syndrome. But glad they've improved with later releases now.
I'm guessing that was before the reissue with the pom joints, heard that was an issue with the older releases. I have both the reissues of the snipe/grappel and assualt/scout and they feel super sturdy. Heard they thickened up a lot of the joints rings in the reissue.
Hi Zak, do you have Megami Devise Type Jaeger Edelweiss? I have build 9 Megami Device/Frame Arms Girls kits including that one and it is my abbsolute favorite. I would like to hear your opinion about it.
This was the first Megami Device kit I owned. Worth it. Bought the waist and chest option parts last month too . Too bad the compatibility chart for the option parts and kit skin color behind the packaging was written in japanese language. What does the triangle sign even mean on that chart? Waiting for the darker skin option part compatible with WISM Grapple/Sol Runner/Sitara
it usually means "Not correct but not completely incorrect, either". or in other words "it could (maybe not) fit for the kit". for example, you wanted to use the new upper arm parts for you WISM kit, you have to cut a little bit of the peg, so it won't be too tight/long when you plug the lower arm parts. you can see there's a small line near the end of the peg
I have this kit and I'm planning to buy the top and bottom parts to fix the early kotobukia problems. Is the original chest piece compatible with the upgraded top?
I really liked this kit. But be aware the joint assemblies (abs, hips) can be fragile. Kotobukiya produces imaginative models that encourage you to pose, reconfigure and play. But the plastic is too brittle for that.
Guys and gals. This is a 100% unsolicited post. I have been searching for decent sprue holders for years now and have literally been through dozens; all were disappointing. Some beyond description, others just somewhat useless. All needed vast improvement and I have finally found the sprue holder we have all wanted; on Etsy. A seller named Brian, has a shop called LiddellLaserCutting and has engineered the best sprue holder I have ever seen or could ever have imagined. I simply wanted to pass this on to the community as I have spent countless hours in near misery wishing there was a good answer for the sprue issue. This is it. The be all end all. I literally could not imagine a better designed sprue holder and it checks every box Gundam builders need.. It literally is perfect. It is the Godhand Ultimate Nipper of Sprue racks.. That is the only way I could think to relate how much better this sprue rack is then any other I have ever seen/owned. I literally am gaining nothing with this post and just wanted to pass on some good karma. Feel free to email me for pics or visit Brian's Etsy shop. LiddellLaserCutting
I find it strange how he's able to talk about these option parts so nonchalantly and make them seem completely innocent when it's clear what the designers are doing.
So Palpatine is hiring neko girls for the Empire army... I love democracy too.

I heard there's third party company selling Megami Device joints. They used metal instead of plastic as material
Nothing some resin casting can't fix :)
I for one really like these much more utilitarian designs. Kinda wish there were more of these kinds of mecha musume kits that did this.

Ayy I just picked this up, thinking of doing sneaking suit from mgs3 colorscheme
Lol good to know im not the only one who appreciates the wrapping paper kotobukiya uses on their kits sometimes :')

they have that Star Wars Stormtrooper vibe going on with their armor designs.
Really excited for this re-issue and review, I've kinda had my eye on this kit forever
Thank you for the review!
I am about to dive into this new hobby and it's good to know what the contents are before investing into it.
Snipe's helmet looks a little like the unicorn's face if it was painted with green on the visor
A modernized WISM girl with the 2.0 upper and lower torso parts, plus the POM wrists and hip T-bar, is really good and durable.

Thoose option parts are more usefull if you use as anbackup, like the shoulder conexion that reaaaally is fragile.

@@Milt-hn8rr I'm glad to hear that, but I'll probably just gonna pick up the M.S.G. sets since I don't wanna get a 4th copy of them lol.
@@Milt-hn8rr when was the reissue released?
@@oskrmew12 The reissue for the assault/scout was early this year/late last year. The Snipe/Grapple came out early this summer I believe.
I have the scout/soldier, and the kit does look really nice all detailed.
the kanji ones are Asra kits.
I realized it later 😅 sometimes brain no work
the kanji one is read as Asura in Chinese or what we commonly call Asra.
These are my favorite from the Megami device series. Very lovely kits! I have two each and I'm after more haha
oh i really wanted this one awesome review

Are megami device kits compatible with Frame arms girls?
Specifically legs and arms?
