Chopin - Etude No. 23 - Winter Wind - Op. 25, No. 11
Composer - Frederic Chopin, performed by Dmitriy Smirnoff
Free Piano Sheet Music michaelkravchuk.com/free-piano...
Winter Wind is considered one of the most difficult of Chopin's 24 études. The étude is a study for developing stamina, dexterity, and technique - essential skills for any concert pianist.
most difficult is for sure waterfall etude and double thirds
@@ludmilabordei5884 Chromatic is also really difficult
*laughs in torrent*
Ludmila Bordei torrent is definitely the hardest
@@del3740 I find torrent much easier as a whole compared to winter wind tbh. Torrent fits under the hands comfortably too
“I paid for the piano, I’m gonna use the whole piano.”

Simply piano ads be like
Ikr! I could play this whole song on my 2nd day of simply piano! This song is actually extremely easy. I'm sure you can play it too with simply piano!
i love when you miss some notes, makes it feel more human xD
You shoudnt be laughing about that, show some respect for the many hours he practiced.
Charles Fernandez He’s not laughing at the wrong notes, he’s laughing at the phrase,”Makes it feel more human”
@@ifmondayhadaface9490 I think the same too.It didnt sound like laughing at the pianist.Actually i liked her comment, more human.
Charles Fernandez sounded like a compliment
I didnt even notice the misisng notes bruh
Nice! I played a lot of Chopin etudes but was always scared of this one. 😅
I began to practice it today, learning the descent is a real torture 💀
impressive - wonderful -impressionnant
0:00 this is so freaking easy!! Dk why ppl make such a big deal out of it

😂😂😂🔥🔥💔
I don't want to play the piano where everyone plays nowadays. Not mentioning you . wonderful performance.
Wow amazing… it’s hard to find someone playing with such emotion anymore :D
There's not really any emotion
@@arctica3037 that’s ur opinion
Err, super ironic that this comment was written around the time of the Chopin competition. It's really not hard to find, they had 87 pianists get in.
@@fink7968 sure
That was a beautiful performance, rich with emotion. Thank you so much for sharing with us :)
Dziękuję, ale wydajność i muzykalność. Brawo 👍

Fourty hours
I like that your name is literally "cute cat" in Japanese.
Fourty hours every day!
Amazing. Looking at the stability of your hands, it seems so easy to play!
"To be fair it is an etude"
Wonderful, i Love this ❤️
Espectacular!! asombroso, que tal obra y que tal ejecución, felicitaciones, de lo mejor 🤩🎵🎹
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!!

Great performance 👍👍

Can you do a tutorial on winter wind
Brilliant👍
Очень крутое видео!Шопен -сила!
Meraviglioso GRAZIE
Perfect
awesome .......just awesome
Doesn't look too hard from the sheet music but is very difficult to play.
To play fast ít really hard :(((((
The music sheet looks hard tho…
If u make the semiquavers all crotchets and tempo x4 it will look even easier but the difficulty is still the same
I came in here not knowing what to expect, and the start of the wind nearly destroyed me
Imagine even getting this song to half of that speed ;-;
IT'S A PIECE!!!!!
I wonder if this etude got its nickname from critics. For me, it could also be imagined as an apex predator’s fierce hunting.

I feel that these Stop the time, it's long for me, it's eternal.
I agree, it's so long :D
Bravooo
WoW!
how do you do fingerings in the decreasing scale part???
double mobius reacharound
I fear no thing...
But that man...
Chopin...
He scares me.
I understood the second I saw the title and there was winter wind
Super good, you forgot to hold the whole note in the left hand in measure 57 though.
Bro really said:i paid the whole piano,y play the whole piano 😂😂
the tempo is respectable. there are some times where you accidentally press a wrong note but it won't matter. still beautiful playing anyways, good job!
Great video! Beautiful music! Like it and subscribe!
That final part is really hard...
At 3:32 or bar 89 left hand, the accent notes played by left hand fifth finger supposed to be AAAA or AAAB? I see in the video the latter was played but the scores I found are the former. Anyone has any idea which one and why?
how do u even know what note he is playing
should be aaaa i think he played a wrong note accidentally
this is late…
but its all preference, same as the f-f-ff-g-f-c-f octaves, whatever sounds best to you.
@@yunho4825 Can I ask your f-f-ff-g-f-c-f octave is referring to which bar?
@@yunho4825 Thank you for answering. ruclips.net/video/6Kx1QGAooL0/видео.html
This is after >1 year of practice since the question was asked here. I played AAAB, see if you can hear it.😀

Hello! I'm from Brazil, well played... How many years did it take you to play this?
8 - 10 years it depends how many hours you practice every day. Keep practicing.

how does one become this good ?
Keep practicing!! It takes time but is possible!
Куда вы кладете камеру?
На штативе.
wow awesome playing! what grade piano usually plays this song?
Probably expert
I have been searching for etudes for beginers.... the begining maybe😄.
:D
Omg!!! Bravo, best then Rosseau
i think they are in the same level, competing for the best. It's very strange this has only 20 subs
I thing Rosseau is better but he is also very very good!
Gordan_ Valchev why rousseau is better? Do you watch on mistakes 🤔
@@everyday734 no but rosseaus flow is better
Nah Rousseau is a lot better
I am an intermediate pianist and am trying to learn this piece. I’m suffering from a lot of tension in my forearm and hand. Does anyone know any technique tips that could help me out?
I'm an intermediate pianists too lol. Been playing for 5 years now. It's probably because you're not used to such a fast paced song. I've been playing chopin op. 9 no. 2 and I've been struggling with the left hand a lot lol. I'm surprised you're trying this one out. Good for you
Please, tell me where you found a score (or where could I….) with B in fourth quarter, left hand, bar 89
You can try on IMSLP
No, even in IMSLP is four times A. But I found a note, at the end of Henle edition, reporting a French version with A A A B.
Ive been practicing but i dont know where should i release and press the pedal 💀
You need to found the individual motions and in each motion hold and release
And that's how it's done😂❤
Whats the chord on the 29th stanza on the 3rd beat?
Oh thanks for pointing that out it's a mistake it should be F, A#, E, F#
The intro reminds me of Rush E 😂
😳
This is intermediate? 😂 I'm dead.. lol... hope I can play one day. Haha
Maybe early intermediate 😂. Surely you can, keep practicing!
i feel like your left hand fingers are a little too flat in fast sections
Thanks for note that, I can improve it
Ots a good piece because its in FREAKIN C MAJOR and i think thos is the only piece that chopin composed that has FREAKIN C MAJOR
it’s in a minor
A minor
It's A minor
♥️♥️♥️♥️🎵🎹
I DONT KNOW WHAT I WAS EXPECTING BUT IT WAS NOT THAT AND I M TIRED JUST BY LISTENING
i don’t play the piano or any instruments
How the fuck am I supposed to play this
Why is no.23?? It’s no.11
Because the 24 etudes are splitted in two Op. 10 and Op. 25, that's the reason you can see it's the Etude No. 23 of 24 but is the Piece No. 11 in the Op. 25
0.75 speed is the speed i can play for like the first 10 measures, the rest is just a shit show
Thanks for watching, and keep practicing, you can do it
@@RoadToVirtuosity no problem, i really like your playing and thanks to you too! i appreciate the support. i was young when i first heard this piece and now it’s the only piece i’ve been wanting to learn. coincidentally, my piano teacher had just printed out the sheet music to this etude and now i’m learning it. it’s like a dream come true.
You are grade 8 right, I am grade 8😊😊😊❤
thanks for watching!
bro why chopin call this 'etude'
It's a piece of the book 12 Etudes Op. 25
@@RoadToVirtuosity thank you ! but i already know it :) i mean this is extreamly hard but why chopin call this etude lol
@@user-jp7vw7fv6o if I remember correctly, it's to develop stamina for the arm
@@nerowhoisbetterthansaber3610 ye its right! this meme is famous "this is just practice to press all keys"
Pretty much like the "Etude" Revolutionary. Allegro cascades but still "etude" for some reason.
Looks not that difficult just too fast.
That's right
