I was watching this video and then my neighbour came and we watched it together. He said that this changed his life and touched his heart. I then went and rented a projector in a big field and I shared it with my entire village and we all watched it and it changed their lives too. We all are so grateful. Thank You for this...
it's a lot sadder when you take in the lyrics and understand that it's Venom in despair over being abandoned by Big Boss and his inability to save Paz :(
You're wrong. He says "You're a phantom of my past". Venom is the "Phantom" Not Big Boss. Big Boss may not have lost his arm, but he has suffered more than most people have. He can't stay the heroic mercenary trying to help people who can't help themselves. (Which was the purpose of MSF). He embraces his role of a villain. A man who doesn't just seek out war, but creates it. Of course we both could be wrong but... Meh.
On the other hand, it becomes darkly humorous if you interpret it as someone singing about his limb getting amputated and feeling phantom pain later on
I was afraid to watch this because I have also made an MGSV music video using this song. But your video is very different from mine, haha. Good work, man. This song is killer
I cry every time metal gear is mentioned because it was a series I grew up with, along with other stealth games. This and splinter cell have influenced me the most. I just love this series and I Fucking hate konami now.
@@Chonkems No I mean like, bring kojima productions under capcom and then get Metal Gear Solid from Konami. Also, Capcom going downhill? what makes you say that? If anything, they've been improving in the last couple years.
SPOILERS for MGSV . . . . . . . . . . Isn't this video a little weird now knowing Venom experienced NONE of the depicted events except for the end of GZ?
Big Ross how does he remember those things if he simply wasnt there? Im just curious does he somehow remember or has miller and ocelot just told him everything
Correct me if I'm wrong, but seems Venom hypnoses made him belive that he lived and passed through all of that, maybe creating those memories in the process. Since Big Boss was by his side and awake much early than Venom, it was possible that he told/implanted those events himself... But well, who knows...
I believe Venom knew from the start that he wasn't the real Big Boss. If you replay the game from the start you'll notice they drop so many hints that he's not the original Big Boss and Venom doesn't have much of a reaction to the cassette tape Big Boss left for him. He just finally remembers all the missing details. Venom goes along with it because it's what he was meant to do.
Fellas... I'm Afraid It's been.....9 years

Big Boss / Venom Snake really are inspirational characters.

I wish capcom is somehow able to buy the MGS ip from Konami. At they'll know what to do with it.
@@Razgriz_01 Why Capcom? They've been going downhill, I'd say hand it back to kojima productions.

Me too
i mean, it would have just been bad for the series if it kept going, i see the mgsv conclusion as fitting for completing the saga
it's...beautiful
2:09 - 4:04 Pov: you are the hero that has been trought everything and has become the villain

Depends on what you consider having experienced.
The man is now Snake. He remembers everything Snake remembers. These are, arguably, his experiences.

Well this is why it's called a phantom pain, because he never had all those but still is feeling them.
You forgot portable ops. But the video is still cool nonetheless.
Portable Ops doesn't have any in-game 3d cutscenes unfortunately.
Superb!
There was a bit too much of MGS 3 IMO and not enough of MGS 4.
