Absolutely a great raft and easy to maneuver out on the river and can handle some rapids as well. Isn’t tippy at all and plenty for room for big guys too. Very well built and a super cool thing is you can get a trailer for it around 1300.00 from wholesale marine, fits this raft perfectly. Maybe one of the most important things is the customer service from these guys . They are on top of it. We have our second rat coming and guide with them day in and day out on our rivers here in WNC. Very affordable and easy to row and skims water like a champ .
They just announced rod holders and a casting deck! Great customer service and personally I love supporting innovative small businesses. Thanks for checking out my channel.
I immediately noticed the Chacos! "Leave em loose then tighten em up"....just like tuning a drum babyyy! Can't wait to start writing on that purdy red frame 👀👀
Congrats, I bought my first raft last year, a Watermaster Bruin it’s awesome . I leave it put together in the garage, and whenever I look at it I get happy…
EDM versus Dubstep, I get it. Fun fact, did you know that the first known rubber raft, four tubes and a wraparound floor, was made by Lieutenant John Fremont and inventor Horace H. Day. Freemont wrote about their first known whitewater raft adventure- surveying the Platte River for the US Navy- in an 1842 journal entry.
Hey Michael, thanks for checking out my channel. In Missouri we have pretty fine pea gravel in the rivers. Lots of the local guys go without the self bailing option. Your feet stay dryer and if you don’t mind bailing occasionally, no big deal. For bigger water, you may enjoy self bailing, water coming over the front of the raft in larger rapids is where you probably want that option. There’s a Facebook group of River Rat Raft Owners that we started. Feel free to join and ask the group’s opinion.
It fits perfectly on a 5x10 trailer. However I’m starting out with it in the truck bed using a Yakima LongArm TRUCK BED EXTENDER. I have pictures up on my insta with it in the truck. Rides great!
Nicholas, thanks for checking out my channel and this raft build! Here’s the link to the manufacturer. Great customer service, give them a call. riverratusa.com/
Stability is what separates this raft from others. The floor is inflatable and provides amazing stability for the angler. It also helps it float through very skinny water, where most rafts can’t go. I went without self-bailing because of the types of water we are on in the Ozarks, but it is an option. Not a lot of big white water near me.
@@fishhandsfranky thanks I fished from a friend’s fly craft and it was crazy tippy! I ruled that one out instantly. The stealth craft hooligan looks good but spendy. Can two guys drag this thing around? Will it fit in the back of a pickup? More questions!!!!
@@baxter4462 raft is 135lbs all together. Perfect for two guys to toss around. That’s what we do to get it in my truck. This is wider than the other boat mentioned. Sounds like the perfect fit for you, price wise it’s in the sweet spot. The owners of the company are super friendly and helpful. Ring em up! Where are you going to be fishing it?

Hope to float with you guys one of these days! I hear nothing but great things about the shop and guide service.
@@fishhandsfranky Thank you buddy. Come on down when your ready and let’s go 🎣🎣🎣

Had her out this weekend. It’s amazing how much water there is to explore in these things!
The frame of the rubber boat is good👍
Super solid, super light!
I don't know why but I flinch every time you call your raft a boat... I know it's still a boat, but it's a raft! 😂

@@fishhandsfranky I love learning cool info like that!!!!
Wow man what a sick boat!! I hit the sub. Looking forward to seeing some adventures you have in that thing. Tight lines from your neighbor up north!
The FHF crew is so stoked to get exploring with this thing! Thanks for the Sub.
@@fishhandsfranky hell yeah Franky!!!
She's looking steady there. We are running River Rat boats as well.
The Cadillac of rafts!
I'm thinking of getting one and was wondering it you went self-bailing or not, and why? Would you do it again? Thanks for the video

So awesome
We are loving this raft! Rod holders are coming out by the manufacturer and will be added soon!
Finally got around to watching. Looks like a slick rig.. Good company on the assembly!! Did AJ help at all or just film? Haha
Surprisingly he helped quite a bit! Haha. We are going to have some good times in this thing.
The shoe change comment got me. LOLOLOL! Next investment...an electric pump.
100% bought a Ryobi pump the next day lol
That looks like a lot of fun! Can't wait to smoke some stogies and rip lips!
Hop that flight!
Awesome! Just subbed from TN! Seems like our channels have similar interests! Love it!
Thanks, I’ll check it out!
I wish I had that raft
If you can’t have one, find a friend with one!
Are you going to trailer it?

How much does it cost???

How is the stability? Is it tippy?
Also, is the floor self bailing or does it stay dry.
Lots of questions!!!!
