- These are the client-side Minecraft mods I use every time I do creative building in Minecraft. I hope you find them as useful as I do! Just a reminder, these are for the Java edition of Minecraft and require Fabric to run.

There's a mod called accurate block placement that i practically can't live without. It allows you to hold down right click and have blocks be instantly built, as opposed to having to spam the button.
That’s awesome, I know a lot of builders that use an auto clicker for that. Axiom has a fast place mode which does the same thing and it’s amazing

I can’t believe you omitted the best feature of Essential. Sure cosmetics, zoom, screenshots, whatever. IT LETS YOU PLAY MULTIPLAYER WITHOUT A SERVER.
xD you’re right! It doesn’t actually work for me because of where I live but I’m sure it’s super useful for a lot of people.

Essential is so dumb, It’s just yet another cosmetic mod that wants to farm your money, you can play without a server, same thing with e4mc
it is using a server, Essential has a middleman server to relay everything through, its like using a free server host but rather than it doing the work itself, the connected clients do it
This might be really stupid but have you tried out the stuff with right shift in axiom? It’s extremely good for building organic things and adding texture/ blending

dudes an idiot, axiom is a world edit killer and he doesnt acknowledge its the most important mod of the entire list

Something he forgot to mention is that the ESSENTIAL mods main function is being able to invite friends into single player worlds to make them multiplayer without having to make a proper server.
yeah! I was surprised he didn't mention this, as this is honestly the biggest game-changer in ESSENTIAL for me! I play a lot of maps and datapacks with friends, so being able to just invite them to my world with a couple clicks instead of having to set up an entire dedicated server is such a life saver!
0:43 imho "Fog Looks Good Now" for Fabric looks better there...
also sidekick is a pretty handy build tool next to world edit and axiom
i truly never expected to be jumpscared by minecraft's main menu, but 4:02 proved me wrong holy hell
For seeing big builds surroundings (or just see the world from afar) the mod Distant Horizons might be your cup of tea.
And if u have nvidia grafics card, adding nvidium will make it easier on ur computer to handle it, especially if u got other mods combined with Distant horizons, it can rly take a toll on ur pc.
A couple mods I use are, Banner guide (a list of multiple banner design from pokemon to star wars, and anime etc, it shows the recipe and the items you need to make the design), furnideco (different types of rustic furniture and interactive furniture/decorations, like a tv, radio, ceiling fan, etc) a really nice mod that fits with minecraft, placecraft (you can place items/tools on the floor and change its rotation) well made mod made by the same creator of furnideco; arexon. I recommend these mods they are really nice.

I've been hooked on the Xaero's map mod just to quickly teleport and oversee my builds and active projects which is so useful! It also has a minimap mod for those survival players.
oh yeah the Xaero's world map teleporting is just so nice to have!
How do you use xaeros map teleports? I cant figure it out
@@basic6735 if you have command permissions, you can right-click somewhere on your map (not your minimap) and select teleport. If this doesn't work, you might need to modify the teleport command in the world map settings menu.

I'm using Xisuma's ItemSwapper mod which is an essential to fastened my building process as the inventory is too clunky.

I also use usual Masa's mods along with some you mentioned in the video
kind of important note continuity just allows connected textures so if you have a resource pack that uses OptiFine connect textures then this will allow that to work with transparent blocks
at least I believe that to be accurate I'm way too tired to tell

Have loved all of these mods for quite awhile, glad that it is getting out there for even more love to the mods and the creators!!
I've been recently getting into creative buiding just cuz im to lazy to grind thanks for the vid.
I don't recommend Essential as having paid cosmetics is unnecessary when World Host exists. (haven't tried, but if it doesn't work I hope to find something else) I also find it suspicious the essential being closed source could mean that it isn't private which isn't necessary.
there is also lottweaks that I appreciate a lot because its pretty useful for building but all the features have been added in axiom

I once built a tower off center and cause the top was quite detailed it took a while to move the roof, and made a joke about it: “A giant moved my roof!” That would have been so helpful, the world edit, but I’m more of a vanilla Minecraft player with some texture packs which makes the game look older
Also I regularly use the Litematica Mod if there's a creative build that I want to transport to survival, damn useful.
Bones, you're one of the best builders I know, please make a tutorial on a Japanese style house with copper roofs and cherry blossoms🙏😭
i always enjoy the create mod's elevators, as i can put my build into a mine of some sorts
join autosprint is a mod that i always use on newer versions, it fixes the weird thing that turns off toggle sprint after dying

Not really creative related but I have been loving the “Better than adventure” mod!
Could be a cool challenge/ series as well for you!
theres a mod called blur, It blures that background when you open up a menu. It doesnt do that much but its a nice asethetic improvement.
I like Bettervanilla texture pack, its simple and allows us to make beautiful block combinations..

For me, I can’t play the game without the borderless mining mod, if you use more than one monitor while playing the game, this is a NECESSITY!
Conected glass should just be something client side that everyone could toggle on and off...
ESSENTIAL mod can be considered kinda illegal, because its fan made project and it has currency for real money
Essential mod also lets you play multiplayer for free
theres one that expands the creative inventory called sidekick
"I wouldnt reccomend getting dependant on mods to enjoy minecraft" Too late there bud... Haven't been able to enjoy vanilla minecraft since like... when you had to delete the Meta.inf file to install forge....
Have difficulty enjoying playing survival when I don't have a good progression overhaul, like Minefantasy Reforged, or TFC.
I do have some reccomendations for those few who enjoy more modded building.
Additional placements. let's you place slabs and stairs in abseloutely any way you want. vertically, horizontally. any bloody direction.
Framed blocks. if a block doesn't have a slab, stair, fence or wall variant, and you wanna use it? you now can.
Supplementaries, this one is kinda small, but I think it's neat. adds a few extra decorative things, but I mostly enjoy the candle holders, and the new ways you can place lanterns.
Little tiles and chisel & bits are both very similar mods, but allow you to express your creativitiy by placing individual pixels of blocks, I personally prefer little tiles as it allows you to turn those things into animated doors and whatnot. (shameless plug, but I have 2 videos of some old little tiles creations on my channel)
Various block adding mods. Theres tonnes of these but they just expand your palette. but two examples would be Chipped and Chisel.
And then if you are really into going all out with creative building. The Conquest Reforged mod, I myself find it a bit too much to use but theres tonnes of excellent builders who use it, and it the stuff they make is just insane, even if you aren't gonna use it, I'd reccomend checking out people who do. it's amazing content.

Litematica is goated
If you have a good NVIDIA GPU, I suggest you use nvidium, really lets you push the render distance to its limit! Though it doesn’t work with shaders and you need a good bit of VRAM :/

you forgot the most important use of essential, its feature to play with friends without having a server.
Yeah along with bobby i use Nvidum which allows keeping chunks rendered from 100s of blocks away or just generating them 100x faster. Also armor huds, because their amrmor huds!!!

I only wish I could get Distant Horizons to work with my Sodium and Iris shaders for 1.20. After spending hours trying to get the right versions of the different mods I gave up. Maybe one day there will be a better version of Distant Horizons. 32 render distance just doesn't cut it when you are standing on a big build or mountain.

In my opinion, You should have added axiom. It’s like world edit but simpler and less restrictive.

Back in the day I use this mod called TMI(Too Many Items) xD
as cool as the essential mod is, I think its pretty scummy a mod has microtransactions
I installed Methane to deal with lag and I’ve only just realised it may have removed my shadows

Hi! With latest updates there are huge problems with fabric, optifine and replay mod. How did you solve this? Do you use fabric or sodium?

can someone tell me what mod so that you dont need to place temporary block and when doing that it shows like a hexagon or whatever that shape is and is divided so for example if you want to place a block thats one block away from the other block while you are doing that you just click on the middle and diagonal then on the corners, because i have seen alot of youtubers do this and i want to have the same too

I understand that most people probably don't know this, but I strongly recommend against using Essential due to very shady monitoring practices and buisness policies, such as very invasive analytics, as well as being closed source.

Great video @lowresbones! Axiom become my favorite mod when I used It's copy-move tools which are more intuitive and user friendly than Litematica. I also use block replace with infinite reach to make map art. Together they make a 'brush' that I can use to 'paint' from above instead of flying up and down to break-place blocks. This has noticeably reduced the time it takes to complete Minecraft map art.
