I accidentally found your garden channel from a video you did a year ago comparing the two raised beds and the sides pulling in. I enjoyed the video so much because I'm getting ready to spend a lot of money in purchasing maybe four of these style raised you and I are almost in the same gardening zone, I am in zone 8A in South Central Alabama you and I have almost the same type of fruiting trees. I subscribed to your channel so I can follow you since I know that our weather patterns will be pretty much the same. I just watched this video and I'm glad you're still around it's hard to find people in our neck of the woods that are so close together that we can compare weather patterns with humidity and things like that so I'm glad you're still here.
Thank you so much for watching. And yes pretty close in weather. I sure would appreciate your using our links when you're ready to make your purchase. That really does help support the channel. Thank you!
Glad you're back and feeling better! Amazing the banana tree isn't dead, I thought you were going to say the cold got it. My garden is under snow so I'm getting ready for some winter sowing, and growing in a small hydroponic garden in my basement.
Welcome back!! Not growing on right now, 7b. I’ll be seed starting soon. Do have some herbs in the sunroom, but that it. Ate some of my sweet potatoes today, so still have a bit of harvest left. Oh and some canned/freezer items. Looking forward to getting in the dirt again.
Super glad you’re feeling better Michelle, we missed you! Life does happen, and I didn’t start any seeds either. With the holidays and also being sick it was just too much! I have tomatoes and herbs going, starts I bought, but did direct sow some carrots with the tomatoes. I just got done filling my beds and used a bunch of litter from the chicken coop. Letting those cook until summer hoping they’ll be ready for corn, beans, squash and melons.
Oh cool!! You're getting to try their new 16 cell trays! I'm jealous! Enjoy your new inventory. Nothing is going on in my garden. Too cold here in Michigan. But I've started my new journey with ginger! Can't wait till see the sprouts!
Happy to see you well and back on my feed! The weather has been pretty crummy here in East Central IN, so I'm counting down the days until seed starting! I am lookimg forward to your seed starting content/reviews! One of my friends has been letting me help her plan her garden projects for the year, so I'm definitely dreaming of summer these days! 🥰 ☀️
Life happens sometimes, don't sweat it! We missed you, and we're happy to see you back! I'm stoked to see you on the live tonight! On the topic of the peach tree: if you're going to prune it, you should probably do it soon. With that many blooms, you may be susceptible to limb breakage. Also, its not necessary for the tree to put effort into creating each of those fruits if they will eventually be cut off. I think 10 peaches per branch is average? I've not taken care of many trees myself, but that is what I have heard. A lot of my garden has died, sadly. The temperatures here in southern Missouri were below 10°F for over a week. But I do have A LOT of seeds planted and MANY more to plant this week! I'm going to be a vendor at the Tulip Festival held by Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Co! My love is also building me a new greenhouse! 😍
Welcome back Michelle. Sometimes life happens. In my garden I have tomatoes ready to ripen. Amazing what an hour south can do. We haven't had a freeze this year (yet?) but it could still happen. I'm betting it won't.
I have carrots, cabbage, broccoli, kale, onions, garlic, fennel, lettuce, and cauliflower thriving and surviving after the arctic blast. Potatoes are started, and tomorrow will drop some flower seeds. I'm in South Alabama 9A.

I am really glad too. I think the fence gave it a little warmer climate. They do look pretty good considering temps down to 29 degrees.

Hooray for sweet potatoes.
So glad to get dirty. Can't wait.

And helping friends sounds like fun too.

Thank you! And thanks for the peach tip, that makes sense. Great to see you tonight!
@michelleinthemeadow Glad to have you back, the live was fun!
I had a great time.
I haven't seen you in a while. So glad you're back.
Thank you. I'm glad to be back. Aside from the busy holidays, I was sick and lost my voice for a bit, too. Spicy tom yum wasn't enough to cure it.
@@michelleinthemeadow I'm glad you're doing better.
@kaybegley9566 thank you 😊
Welcome back. I am planning on mulching and my starts are going steady.
I am in the new zone 10 a .
Thank you. It's good to be back. Hooray on your starts!!!

Thanks, Jack! Time will tell for sure. This week, I need to pop up the green house. Fingers crossed.

Sounds great! Way to keep em thriving. Thanks for watching!
So many are saying many garden channels are quitting but I guess I don't follow any of those folks. Glad you're better. Good to see you. 😊
I've seen that, too. I'm glad to be better. Thank you so much.
I was getting worried. Spring is a ways away for me. I'm not sure about peaches in Florida but here i have pruned after they broke. It is ok.👍🏼😁🪱
Did they break after the snow/ice?
@@michelleinthemeadow yes, bad thing is I would often loose the crop to a late hard frost.
@PlantObsessed oh noes. That is terrible.
