  • this is not a particularly informative update.
    no more headaches
    social anxiety has decreased
    still get anxious about tons of stuff but it’s definitely less severe
    less negative internal chatter (but still there)
    reasonably good mood
    not any more proactive in life

    Hey man. Thanks for making the video. Had anxiety since I can remember but never really knew what's going on with me and never had anyone that I felt comfortable talking to about it. I'm made an appointment with my doctor and this is giving me some hope.. just so sick and tired of this pressure everyday of fighting myself..

    • @robertmakesashow7089
      @robertmakesashow7089  Год назад +4

      This is seriously the greatest comment ever. Not only are you super incredibly strong for fighting this everyday (and yes you are eeeexactly right, people don’t understand, anxiety is presssure and literally an everyday fight) but to now take this step toward taking control of your mental health shows so much unbelievable courage✨I cannot tell you how crazy proud I am of you. You probably have no idea how tough you really are. This made my day. Take that appointment with your doc. I’m not an expert but I can tell you from my own anecdotal evidence that buspar is an excellent place to start. Go low and slow and really hang in there. It will take at least a month or two before you can see that first 5 or 10 or 15mgs (a day) do its job. Then just hang tight and stay in that zone. Make sure you’re eating healthy and getting some exercise (nothing crazy, just a super light 20-30 min walk or jog on the treadmill or outside 2-3x a week). Sleep is very very important too and in the beginning month or two you can supplement with a lil melatonin if need be 1-3mg. Thanks again for the message if you have any further questions feel free to reach out @ rob.fred.schwartz on insta. Maybe in the meantime watch some Gabor Mate videos on youtube about anxiety, that dude just gets it. Thanks again!✨

      I think back to those days of painful eye contact and wildly difficult social interactions (🙃which wasn’t long ago at all) and I have a kind of sympathy and awe of my former self. Sympathy because that was such a hard way to have to live life and awe in that I had the courage to still get through the day and hold a job and maintain relationships through the pain. I’m glad to be mostly on the other side, but yeah sometimes eye contact is still just weird hahaha. @@AJ88874 Again I'm no expert but I HIGHLY doubt that theory. If you are trying to immediately bridge from a high level of benzos to buspar I could potentially see how the results would feel negligable. Benzos are so so powerful and you can feel shortly after taking them, Buspar begins to be noticable nearly a month after you take your first pill. If you get off benzos or have been off for a while, your brain would have mostly snapped back to its original chemistry. Your brain can be more resilient than you think if you treat it right with 3x cardio for 30-40 mins a week, good sleep hygiene, and eating right, this is like hitting a hard reset!!!

      Anxiety is bruuuutal!!😫 People really have no idea. I’m so sorry you’re going through that, I absolutely understand how paralyzing and stressful it all is. The buspar really helped with my anxiety big time. It took at leeeast a month to kick in but when it did, it was a revelation. The interesting thing is that it did and didn’t make me go out more. once my anxiety was lessened, I realize that it wasn’t my anxiety so much that was keeping me from going out. I realize I’m just really kind of a private person and I really like my alone time. I do find that in my day-to-day life at work or even on the street. The barrier to conversations with strangers and other kinds of interactions has decreased. I don’t get in my head about talking to people as much and can enjoy those conversations more. I still get a little nervous every now and then but it’s so much more manageable. It’s like night and day really! I hope that you eat healthy and sleep well and more important than anything really is getting light cardio exercise in 3 to 4 times a week, that and itself is the strongest anti-anxiety and depressant known to man and I wouldn’t be anywhere without it. Wishing you the best of luck, the best of health. Thank you so much for the comment 🙏✨

    I was put on 10mg of Buspar but I have yet to even start it. I am terrified of side effects and I just don't know how to get over this fear.. my Dr said I can break it in half if I wanted to. • @robertmakesashow7089
      @robertmakesashow7089  2 года назад +8

      Hi! You're absolutely right, everyone is different! My experience thankfully was very positive. I was definitely hesitant to start but my anxiety and depression was so serious at the time that I really felt I had no other choice. The anxiety I was experiencing was truly debilitating. I started with just 5mg a day for my first two weeks and then increased to 10mg. One 5mg with breakfast in the morning and then 5mg at 5:00pm. The benefits really took me about 4 weeks to really start kicking in and after that I really felt like this was one of the best decisions of my life. The side effects for me was mostly headaches but they weren't the worst I've ever experienced. I experienced some real ups and downs in those first 4 weeks but I really want to emphasize sticking with it for at least 4-6 weeks. It's strange because it almost feels like the buspar does nothing until you hit that magical period of time✨ I really understand, it's scary. I never in a million years would've thought I'd be taking anxiety medication, but I feel so fortunate to have found it. This drug is widely understood to have very few side effects in comparison to SSRI and it's known to be very easy to discontinue if it's not working for you. I don't know what you're anxiety looks or feels like but if you do feel like it's been an oppressive force on your life, if you do feel it's been holding you back, I do think it's really worth giving this a shot. I wish you the very best!

    • @robertmakesashow7089
      @robertmakesashow7089  2 года назад +3

      Thanks!! this might be perfect timing because i just went drinking last night! i noticed in the very beginning, drinking on buspar kind of felt like a process of undoing the effects of the drug. drinking made me feel a bit more anxious and also kind of sleepy. i wouldn’t feel the effects of the alcohol as much. maybe a momentary buzz but then my energy would kind of peter out. When i drink, i rarely have more than 2 drinks. It should also be said that i’m in my 30s and alcohol definitely hits different as you age. Now i’ve been on this drug for about 3 months and the alcohol hits me in a slightly more normal way, i still try not to drink too much on it though. drank about 3-4 shots worth of alcohol last night, you just don’t feel the buzz as much, which means you should probably be careful not to overdo it while chasing that buzzy feeling. i recommend hydrating and try to drink as far away from your dosing time as possible. if you drink pretty frequently i think the drugs effectiveness probably won’t take as well and it might be completely pointless to take the drug all together. Though a drink every now seems to be okay.

    Hi, I’m currently a full week on buspirone and I have ups n downs n passing out spells, I’m on 15mg a day and I can be in the store but the driving part is horrible makes me hyperventilate n feel like passing out 😖 and the being alone part also gets me anxious. I also feel dizzy n with fear n shaky like an hour or two before my next dose, is this ok?
    Would u think it’s bc of the beginning of the medication or need to ask to up my dose?

      Hi Liz! I'm so sorry you're having such a bad reaction!!! Fainting spells are really no joke and I think you should contact your Doctor/physician ASAP! Definitely avoid driving at all costs until you have this figured out. Your reaction sounds really intense! some of your side effects sound like the effects you'd get with an overdose or possibly even serotonin syndrome. Perhaps you have a liver issue and have a problem metabolizing it correctly or maybe youre drinking grapefruit juice or another contraindicated drink or supplement that is causing a dramatic rise in the effectiveness of Buspar.
      I started with a 5mg once a day for 3 weeks. I'm 6'2" and 177 pounds that was enough to give me side effects. Perhaps they can just decrease the dose slowly so you don't have a crazy reaciton.
      I wish you all the very best!! thank you for commenting!!! Keep me posted with your progress!

I can’t give medical advice but on a personal level its probably one of the best things that ever happened to me. • @robertmakesashow7089
      @robertmakesashow7089  2 года назад +6

      There was a pretty quick honeymoon period for me that was around the end of the first week going into my second week! i felt great! and then that dropped off pretty quick. after that i just got headaches all the time, not the worst but pretty annoying and my mood was a lil spacey and sometimes down. it wasn’t until the end of my 4th week where i really started getting a lift from the lack of anxiety. around that time i was really pleased with my progress and my mood at work was really healthy. It continued to be minorly uplifting from that moment on. Buspar doesnt give you a direct mood lift like other drugs IMO but what it does do is take some obstacles out of your way so that you can work on finding your joy. i think this is actually an advantage it has over other drugs!

It takes foreverrrr and a day to get your body to adapt to it and if your Doc ups the dose the whole cycle restarts from the beginning. Be strong! This is NOT an easy journey but take it a day at a time and lean on those close to you and be honest! You absolutely got this! The buspar might not be noticeably helpful until you’ve adapted to the zoloft! 💪✨✨✨ stay strong!!!

      My first to second week i kind of had this honeymoon period, i felt a little loopy and i felt my anxiety melt away. Then on the 3rd week, all the positive effects felt like they just disappeared! i felt really in my head and anxious and weird. and i really felt sad and dispirited because i was getting my hopes up and then it seemed like the drug wasn’t going to work. i considered maybe going up a dosage but for whatever reason i just kept going, taking the same dose 10mg a day, and then around the 4th to 5th week i felt myself slowly improving. i honestly don’t understand the chemistry but these drugs do really take 1 to 2 months to kick in. i think it’s not worth upping a dose until after that period (though def not a medical professional here). A.A.A. Action Abolishes Anxiety. A moving body is THE best drug for a moving mind. P.s. ive been on ssri,ssni,buspar,welbutrin, and the list goes on. Its all a band aide that does nothing for healing or hope of not living with Anxiety anymore. Anxiety and depression is your body telling you its upset with the role its playing or how your playing it. Finding where your unhealthy habits are rather physical or mental will show you the way out you just have to fix them like your life depends on it and there is zero chance you will fail nor let inanimate thoughts rule your life in the process. Our body is a chemical factory on its own, synthetic versions will damage more than they help and you will have just another problem around the corner. Please folks learn your body instead of learning medications. Doctors treat and repeat, they Do Not Prevent and hardly heal anymore if your from the USA. The Medical symbol on our ambulances is a serpant for a reason and it couldn't be more obvious than now in 2024. Stay safe and remember motion is the potion!
