    I have my rig. A Marantz 2325, 2. X , 2 Klipsch Belles, room. 26x28’ . Double insulated, vinyl flooring. This has served me for the last 30 plus years ! Easy to keep up and dependable. I got my Belle’s from a Doctor that sold his home and bought a RV ! Wanted his speakers to go to someone that was a Klipsch fan. They were cheap needed they tweeters rebuilt. Beautiful everything is Walnut. Was built like furniture. Anyway Mikie that’s it for me and my system rarely is ever turned off. Keep Rocking !

    Hi Mikey. I appreciate the overall message here. Two thumbs up for assembling Tribe memebers to collaborativly work out a stellar rig of chosen components. If Don Wells was still with us, he would tell you how much he respects your audio cables/interconnects. Cheers!

    That's an awesome opportunity for people their Mikey, and all of the metrics line up beautifully. Get rid of the hi-fi stuff you're not using anymore. Set a new to the hobby music lover up for a great start in his/her hi-fi journey, and also get your last rig. Brilliant!!🙂👍🎧

    Hey Mickey . . . you are doing a LOT of people a LOT of good here in helping them save not only money but a whole lot of heartache and most important as you so rightly point out : TIME :-)
    And just think: what about all the years that a bro chases his or her tail while instead he/ she could have bought something cool in the first place. Me? Been there done that :-)

    Hmmm, now I got upgrade-itis. 😂
    End goal
    AGD (new Duets .. 150 w)
    Replace ML Montis with CLX
    and Wilson Benesch Torus (2)
    And streamer dac... no idea at all.
    May have to sell very attractive wife/friend to fund the upgrade.
    Tough decision.😂

    It’s better to find a dealer with experience and spend more early on than to f around with a bunch of things you see reviewed on YT or elsewhere which ends up costing more time and money. Speaking from experience.

    Can a poor man have a quality forever rig?

    • @OCDHIFiGuy
      @OCDHIFiGuy  10 месяцев назад +8

      Absolutely. "Forever" is based on one's perception only. It's the one that makes you stop. For some, it may be at a Boom Box. For others, PS Audio. And even others, perhaps it takes more. I help you cross the line, regardless... even if it's just to talk with you and sell nothing.

      I bought my first entry level high end system (approximately $9000.), 7-1/2 years ago and it sounds better every day. I will eventually upgrade but I will keep this system in my bedroom.

      OCD Mike definitely recommends great stuff that’s not a rip off. My best advice for getting a more affordable rig is to narrow down great stuff with tons of depreciation and be patient waiting for what you want to pop up with the right pre owned price. Lots of previous generation stuff with awesome prices is out there - especially if there’s an abundance of the current generation item available on the pre owned market (if that makes sense).
