Couple of footnotes I want to point out as a tip for those who want to learn in a more grammatically analytical standpoint: 4:39 - “By” used with time expresses a deadline or endpoint to complete an action 4:53 - “By” in these sentences indicates the cause of an action in a passive voice. E.G. “Some other guy fixed my guitar” means the same as: “My guitar was fixed by some other guy” 5:52 - “By” in the pre-verb examples denotes a method a subject perfoms to complete an action. Note it always takes the gerund “-ing” form in these examples. That’s all I have and hope it helps!
Hey, Dear Easy English. For me and I believe for some Brazilians, prepositions are a tricky topic. So, I liked the content of the episode. It also seems to remind me of some things that get lost along the way and when you recover them your language gets more and more fine-tuned. My answers to the test: 1. I simply can't do it by myself. 2. Did you know that we can make iced coffee with frozen coffee ice cubes? 3. Would you like milk with your tea? Thank you for such didactic and entertaining videos.
As a fluent speaker (C2 level), I enjoy other episodes more, especially ones focusing on British slang. But videos like this would be very helpful to beginners and intermediate learners.
Glad you're happy! I'm not specifically an English teacher, which is something I've been working on for a while now, so you can expect more of these videos 😁
@@EasyEnglishVideos I am a right-hander, but I unconsciously use my left hand in certain situations when other people would use their right hand. I also clap hands like a left-hander or kick a ball with my left foot. So sometimes I don’t know.🤔
Thanks for your feedback and constant support! It;s definitely the most passive-aggressive way to write to someone but still give the feeling that you're ignoring them. 😆
Haya
1) I just can't do it by myself .
2) You can make iced cofee with frozen coffe ice cube .
3) Do you want milk with your tea ?

Exactly the things that I, as a linguist, wanted to point out as well.
Thanks for those additions... I will be sure to explain things a bit clearer in the future

@@Naoko1875 I'm the same - keft handed, but play guitar right handed (it's cheaper 😆), play pool right handed, eat right handed. Basically a weirdo
