- In today's video I make a trip to (MCO) The Orlando International Airport to check out Mears Connect which is the new transportation service to get you from the airport to your Disney World resort. I give you a very detailed video on everything you need to know about this service and I show you how you get to the Mears Connect check in desk from the moment you get off the tram from your airplane. I discuss the pricing and the difference from the standard service and the express service. I also take you on a small tour around the main terminal and show you food options, the Disney Magic store, the Universal Orlando store and the SeaWorld store. That's exactly what MEARS does
Getting rid of a free bus service onto property is such a bad move by Disney for the overall customer experience of staying at a Disney resort, I really hope it results in more people staying off-property and a drop in hotel bookings - the fact that people seem to go to Disney parks and stay at Disney resorts whatever the price or experience means they will only continue to worsen the actual experience while increasing the price.

The problem with renting a car is the cost of the car, PLUS the cost of parking at Disney. As I understand it, the hotels/resorts charge a daily fee. Staying 7 nighths add up quickly.
Parking is super steep at Disney hotels
Not to mention the prices for renting have increased substantially, dealing with the rental’s customer service, gas, and availability issues etc.
That's why you stay outside of Disney where you can save a ton of money 💲💰
I’ve given up trying to afford a Disney hotel. The value just isn’t there. We have been looking at renting in Windsor Hills. With that and a car rental we can stretch the budget to make it a 10-day trip instead of a 7-day, and that’s even after the cost of parking at the parks!
In my opinion ride share is cheapest option if party of 4 or less.
Perfect timing Dev! Sitting in the airport waiting for our flight to Orlando and have Mears booked for when we get there. Now there won't be any confusion on where to go or what to do!

I miss the magical express. I will say, I was at Disney in the past week. Uber XL for 4 of us was $54 ($13.50/ person) from the airport to Coronado Springs. It was $46 ($11.50/ person) for our Uber XL trip back. I absolutely recommend Uber. You can't guarantee those prices at all times of the year, but you cannot guarantee what rental car you may or may not get. We arrived on January 18th 2022 and left January 25th. I love this channel and I do like the fact that I feel I made the right decision not using Mears. Keep up the good work Dev

I got to do MEARS Connect on the way back and I got to ride A MAGICAL EXPRESS BUS ON IT'S LAST DAY (January 10th) GOING BACK TO THE AIRPORT!! Such a cool memory I'll never forget! The best and saddest way to say goodbye to a wonderful service!

I do agree with you what a bad idea if it Disney to get rid of magic express I really don't think I'll be staying on property anymore it's just really not worth it anymore and I really love Disney Disney I hope they decide to change their minds and bring it back that would really change my mind about staying on property
We've been driving for past 2 years because the flights were outrageous. But I miss the express and I miss shopping in airport. It was like okay we are on vacation. The drive is taking a toll on us.

The fact that you can do it there is really nice, especially compared to the universal shuttle. Someone could be going in blind and have to worry about spending over 100 dollars for a cab.

Dev we are subscribers from Brazil and we love you. My 2 years old kid adores you, we hope to meet someday. About renting a car, we want to go later in the year but the car rental prices are up about 30-40% from our 2019 trip so this video was really important. For a small family, renting a car became a luxury.

Thank You Dev! I’ve used Magical Express twice and will be using Mears Connect on my trip in 9 days. I figured it would be in the same place but you never know how it may have changed. I had considered taking a cab but seeing those prices I’ll take Mears. It’s a solo trip so I’ll feel more comfortable on Mears. Thanks again for the information!

Hi me and my wife we travel to Orlando on vacation but we didn't know about Disney magical expess until a friend of ours told us about it but the time we wanted to use the magical expess is was to late because Disney took it out. But before that we have travel to Orlando many times and we use Mears services before and they got us to our hotel with no problem and honesty we love it but Disney came out with the magical expess. I wish I new all about before but it what it is. I want to thank you for your RUclips because it really helps me for my next vacation to Orlando again thank s.
