I really enjoy your laid-back style, Ed. Of course bottle digging while you're ill isn't what I mean, so don't worry about your viewers. We'll still be here if you need time off. Your round-ups are just superb. The bottles look like precious jewels, & I love the repair on the vase. Take care & stay safe. See you on the next video. :)
Thank you, I am just being myself and bringing you lot along with me 😁 My next video should be quite a fun one if I can edit it right😂 Glad you enjoyed it 😊
i love all the bottles you found today....i love having old glass jars/bottles to store my kitchen stuff in ,these would be great...and i would take the Horlicks jar ,lol
My stepdads mum always swore the guy on the camp coffee was her granddad she got a bit annoyed when at 8 I asked what’s campcoffee then when she showed me a bottle I got cuffed round the ear for saying witch one 🤦♂️🤣🤣🤣🤣 keep up the good work 👍✌️
Those early screw tops really are nice, must've needed a steady hand to apply that. Got a few Terezols that have them 👍 I sometimes find "knobbly" clay pipes, I think they're supposed to resemble a Blackthorn Shillelagh.
It fascinates me how well any of the applied top bottles are made, it must have taken a lot of skill to do. Thanks for the info, I like the variety of clay pipes, always something a bit interesting 🙂
As Jimmy said it is molasses, that is what it reminded me of on my first sip but looking back at it I think I poured in 2 or 3 servings of the Camp Coffee in that one cup so might have been a bit too much 😂
Gonna get some camp coffee now. Often wondered what it was like. Might not separate out like normal coffee does in my flask when digging. Thanks for suggesting it.
04:37 That was my thought as well. I know it's made with chicory, but what else it contains I have no idea. :o According to Mirriam-Webster Dictionary, it is "the dried ground roasted root of chicory used to flavor or adulterate coffee." ;)
Haven't seen Camp coffee over here (Newfoundland) for years , but I loved it back in the 70s! Horlicks and Ovaltine as well......Oh my goodness! They still make Camp Coffee? Wow! Wonder if it's on Amazon? Probably you need to build yourself up with some Bovril! Take care of yourself buddy!
I nearly knocked myself out with a bottle I opened yesterday It was some sort of turps but soon stunk my kitchen out I had to put cork back in and open the windows
I had one like that last weekend, just a wine bottle and when I threw it back at the end it broke and it absolutely stank!! who know what is in some of these bottles, nasty stuff I am sure 👍
nothing too bad, I was just fatigued for a few days and started to get a headache near the end so had to cut it a bit short, I am all good now though thanks 🙂
Your as mad as me I always wanna no what stuff smelled like when it not empty usually nowt but do have a perfume Yardley's that still smells like lavender
Nice finds and a lovely peaceful video. A pleasure to watch, thank you x

10:44 I beg to differ, Ed. It's ALL special, because 1. You dug it up, and 2. We got to watch. ;) :D
Well, that is true they are all special but I think I meant they were quite common here 🙂

Wow....loved the very decorative vase. All the tiny bottles are fab, please tell me about the tastes like _______? Coffee and treakle?
Treacle is essentially Molasses 🤙

Give it a go, my partner tried it and it was too sweet for her but I think I might be having it again 😁👍
If its like any other modern food or drink products, the older versions probably tasted even better!
Haha I have thought about taking some camp coffee on one of my videos 😀 great information and video 💪😉
Thanks, you should deffo take some it is pretty tasty 🙂
@@VintageParagonUk I tried it once about 20 years ago when I was training to be a chef, it’s really good to use in desert recipes
@@WightFossilTours I remember my gran using it in her baking, it was really nice in a cake too
@@VintageParagonUk camp coffee is a pretty common bottle on my dump, but I still pic them up as some are a pretty nice colour and age
@@VintageParagonUk are they common for you?
Sorry I don’t really know any digger to ask
I thought you'd drunk original stuff can't say it would of tasted like that 😂😂
😂 I have found a few still with camp coffee inside and had a bit of a sniff and didn't smell too bad 😂

It sounds delicious when you read it like that 😂 I was quite surprised how nice it was to be honest, I was expecting it to be a bit bitter i think.

You can still buy all of those things over here 😂 maybe I should take some bovril sandwiches to have with my Horlicks next time I go 😂😂
Hahaha! Build you up...make some bovril tea and take a thermos along!
Hey Ed!!! Your vids are getting a bit 'saucy.'
You're a real gentleman btw.
