Excellent opinion on Dany's tapping. She makes riffs, taps, slaps and others, always thinking about the song, without showing off unnecessary solos, which is why many fools believe that she is a limited guitarist, her simplicity is her greatness. Dany the sweet rock queen
@@PassengerMX Absolutely....those folk that think every song needs some sort of "solo" can listen to that kind of music. This is artistry only requiring what the song needs and talent way beyond the "shredders" . Had enough of that stuff in my 60 years of listening to Rock...musicianship and talent is where it is at now...The Warning!!! The Ladies have upped the game in Rock and Roll...
This show is the new standard, IMO, for The Warning live performances..... they have raised the bar for others every year. The crowd at this show is something else as well!
On the solos: “We don’t want to use guitar solos as a crutch. You know - ‘after the bridge, solo!’ When I do play a solo, I want it to stand out” Daniela Villarreal during an interview for Guitar World Magazine.
This concert was their 10th anniversary show last fall, well before Dany's back issues this past summer. First video from here was "Hell You Call A Dream" which was released in March. They are currently in the process of releasing the rest of the songs from this show. "Breathe" just came out, Pau on piano with a very emotional song.
Back problems that fortunately have been solved. At least by now. Dany said her back problems during their tour in Europe were due to poor sleep posture while touring in the WaWa (tour bus) hope the band have addressed that issue.
@@mexicanopolis9390 that and she also said that she's prone to those issues due to her being more flexible than most. I believe its a specific condition but don't remember the name, its also what allows her to the the "freaky fingers" where she can put her thumbs all the way back in her hands.
@@CydonianWolf Don't remember the name of that condition either. Dany also mentioned that she started experiencing back pain when younger because her Les Paul was too heavy for her then. That's why she switched to the much lighter Rick Toone Spearfish first, and later to her PRS and Manson guitars.
I listened to an interview the other day in which each sister was asked who their biggest influences were. Without skipping a beat, Ale answered “Jaco Pastorius”. That explains a lot about her sound. 🤘🤘🤘
@@NM-tr6kqJaco man, wow that does tell us a lot! Although If you go back yrs to video of Ale taking private lessons….she plays Donna Lee for her teacher …😮
I like that Dany's solos (when she actually does one) take more from David Gilmour than they do from the "let's play *ALL THE NOTES* " shredder school :) Tasteful, for sure.
🌎best rock trio!🌍 🔥👸👸👸🔥 I've noticed Ale' is singing more lead vocals and more lead segments on their "Keep Me Fed" tour. I know lead vocals aren't her cup of tea but in watching them over the years, I believe Pau and Dany are slowly but surely building her confidence level to remove any barriers. When that day comes, we better brace ourselves as The Warning will become a huge tour de force juggernaut. They have already received many accolades and awards. Every day DPA spend hrs signing merch for Patreon fans, events and subscribers. They are the Queen's of Rock.
I like to joke that the 1 song where Ale is primarily singing lead will wind up being their first #1 hit and she will be 'stuck' singing it all the time 😀
I think we'll see/hear more from Ale as the years go on. She's the youngest and (the others say) the most musical. Also, I think she was impacted by the lockdown more than the others, being so much younger, and being stuck as the audience for Pau's carrying on for so many months :)
If you want to watch the track in set list order there is a number on the thumbnail of every video from this show. That is the setlist number. This is track 2. They opened this show with Disciple. They are also releasing them in order.
Nice reaction. You may already know this but Pau was sick at this performance and survived with only steroids given by a doctor pre-show. I'm so happy TW decided to drop this concert for the fans. Gotta catch 'em all. 🤘 EDIT: "I think that we should!"
Great Reaction guys, love you playing the lead solo twice. Dany sometimes doesn't get the credit she deserves. Amazing Vocalist/Guitarist. As is Paulina best Drummer/Vocalists on the planet imop. Ali's is so special, quotes by pros "Technically incredible" & "Can hang with the best of them" The Warning 🔥🔥🔥
The bass intro is played as a pinch motion on two strings, playing the octaves simultaneously. You can see it very quickly. JPJ on Whole Lotta Love, RG on Highway Star, that’s where she is.
I just saw them in Boston and Baltimore ... S!CK and Z open the show and get the crowd hyped up right away!!! I must add that U.S. crowds have picked up their game at shows! (I'd say Dany would fit in with '70s bands, too.)
i had to laugh at the intro discussion and the mention of how you guys are changing your song structures and endings... how what you listen to from other artists and how it is or may be influencing your artistic approach and methods... it immediately made me thing of DPA/TW's *Consume* and the loop cycle of consumption and production... i absolutely enjoy you guys and your reactions! 👍👍👍 "You greedy little f...!" 😜😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
Eddy VanHalen's tapping did to 80's guitar what Michael Jordan's "kiss the rim"dunk did to basketball. Suddenly a dunk was all anybody cared about, and in rock, tapping became what a great guitarist was. Music got lost a lot of the time. Like a car covered in aftermarket fins and scoops, it's like "yeah but can you drive?" Dany is an incredibly tasteful guitarist, almost like a cross between The Edge and Kirk Hammet .
Dany has some Jimmy Page there too as in my opinion she’s the best riff writer since Page. Oh and then she has that voice, wow. She is totally next level. I haven’t been this impressed with a band in decades.
@@Memo55CS No doubt! The overall musicianship of her playing! A beautiful guitarist! Just what Lizzy Hale wanted from her! I just can't figure out how she's still upgrading her voice every year. Seriously! 24 is no kid, especially for a female, who mature earlier, but every year stronger, even better diction, and more power on the low end. It's ridiculous!
Good insights on some of this stuff guys. Every video from this Pepsi show has been amazing. The bass is so much more prominent. Gives it an added dimension that we didn't even realize was missing from Teatro.
Go on guys, just set aside an hour or two and do all the drops from this concert. It is rediculously exciting. Easily the best they have ever released which means it's easily the best live performances ever released! (Sorry - little bit biased!)
I think the best word to describe Dany (with respect to her solos) is RESTRAINT. She CAN play all the notes…but understands that Music is the space between the notes. David Gilmour’s influence on her playing style is very evident
Hey guys! Did you change something with the Transition? 🤣Glad you're reacting to the Pepsi Center videos they're releasing. You're going to have a blast because they're shot and mixed so well. Great reaction as usual! ETA: Context, this was their 10 anniversary concert in Mexico City last year.
when you do more of these videos, see if you can get a better look at the walkways that Dany and Ale come out on... they make a triangle from the stage... the pit in the center has VIP fans in it so they are behind the ladies when they come out to the point like when Dany did her solo in this video... she was making faces at those fans (to her right) as she came out 😹 Dany and Ale come out the walkways several times and switch sides more often, now, then they have in the past... this helps with them being able to play to both sides of the audience which is always a GoodThing 😉 there's at least one song where Ale and Dany have switched sides with the lights off so Ale could start the next song with her bass riff from the platform on Dany's side of the stage 🤘 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
