If your going to AFK Farm the forges, please drop your light level to 750 or below so you can form with other AFK farmers
No they have to get it below 750 otherwise they can still match make with 750s actually trying to complete a forge

@@iamdumb1103 bottom skill tree for voidwalker, it's a really strong pve build, practically unkillable as long as you can kill stuff. Essentially, melee ability is if you kill with a melee you heal to full, and for 10 seconds after all kills restore a portion of your health, then you can consume your grenade to give you the devour buff and get full health, then if you get kills while devour is active it will reset duration of devour and restores about 1/5 of your grenade's energy, lastly nova bomb creats a big void grenade on landing and any kills with will proc devour

The only way they can make devour good is by making it like pre nerf lunafactions, last 30 seconds, increase damage by 50% when active, and make you take 60% damage reduction. I think that’s the only way it will even be somewhat useable.
i dont get why people are whining about Devour.. I use it over Solar and Arc. if used right its more op than those 2 combined. Just people with no brains that doesnt know how to use it tbh.

Devour buff
gives every weapon and ability the Trinity Ghoul perk (doesn't need a specific element)
the lightning is a full chaos reach
full nova charge on every kill
novas split into 5 but do the same damage as 1, kills cause enemies to split into more novas (chains, obv)
the initial devour proc gives you a golden gun-esc ability activation that gives a gjally (same way as you'd activate a goldy)
have invincibility (also a damage bonus in pvp) for the entire duration of devour
this should make it worth using but it might struggle to compare to well

Honestly if bungie cared about afk forge farming they would just make it so you don't auto queue back into a forge after you finish

Just make it to where when devour is in use you have a 200% damage buff, kills grant an over shield and give thundercrash level damage resist, lasts 10 minutes and all kills drop heavy, 10 orbs of light, warmind cells, and also grants charged with light, but even then it’d be underwhelming

Devour should make every bullet from every gun drop a blight. While granting a permanent weapons of light buff.

Buff for devour: kills heal you, then gain health regeneration for duration
Well doesn't need a buff. If anything, have it give as much of a damage buff as bubble.
What I do want buffed tho is crown of tempests. Just double the duration of the buff. Currently it gives back less ability energy than well's benevolent dawn, even on x3.
*Devour Buff Ideas*
Devour now stacks so if you get three kills you get x3 of devour.
Every devour stack grants a 1% extra damage.
Whenever you activate an ability for devour but you have devour active it grants an extra 1%.
Ex: you kill three ads with devour active then melee kill a fourth, this gives you x5 of devour due to the four kills and your melee charge granting devour on a kill.
Nova bomb Vortex grows on damage and kills give a growth bump.
Nova bomb also grants double stacks due to every time something dies in the nova it grants devour.
Getting kills with nova resets how long it lasts.
Nova Bomb deals slightly more damage.
Ex: If you have Devour x4 then cast nova on a boss and six adds. The nova grows in size equal to the amount of damage dealt and equal to the amount of kills. You don't kill the boss yet and nova only lasts (let's say) 5 sec. but it grows off of the continual damage this kills an add as it reaches the add and puts the novas timer of 2 sec. back to five sec. and kills the boss. Devour is now at x20 and the nova grows more but reaches nothing else.
I'm sorry for this being so long but thank you to those who read this.

I ran into one of the redeem members afkfarming yesterday funnily enough
All they have to do with Devour is either give a partial shield when your critically wounded or at full health, and partially auto reload weapons.
For Well they could just go the Bubble route. Gain the benefits of weapon damage, but maybe not a shield, cuz Well gives near infinite health regains while Bubble doesn’t.
Devour Buff: makes bungie investigate an issue with telesto every kill

Warlock needs an instant reload mechanic. Consuming the nade to proc devour would be a good start. For well, give it the weapons of light treatment where you and allies can keep the _damage_ buff for a short duration after leaving the well. Casting well should immediately grant an over shield to the warlock.
Side note: There should be an exotic that sets the warlock as the center of the well (mobile well) at the cost of decreased well duration. Another exotic should give one free revive when you die in well (weaker Radiance), call it Eye of the Phoenix or something.
I mean the simple fix is to have a chest to open for your rewards regardless of how complete the forge is so people don't get rewards unless they open the chests
A good buff for well for making it balanced would be making it give whoever steps on it Devour, Arc Souls Invisibility and Weapons of Light as well as some super energy and possibly spawn a tether for every kill you get from inside it. They should also make it to where you can carry 3 or 4 at a time.

Nova warp also needs a huge buff, all it got is manoverablity but uses a lot of energy to do so, and cant do it for an attack, slow attack, cant even one hit like most other supers nor a start up blast.
All Bungie has to do is make it so matchmaking for the Forges aren't automatic. One & done. Finish a forge, go back to orbit, click on it again from the world menu to re-enter. No need to delete; small change will fix it.
Here's how you buff Well:
y'know those scorn yoink machines where they pull you in? Make it so you take no knockback inside a well. Everything else is fine.
Devour is mostly fine, maybe have it like heart of the pack where you get +30 Resilience while Devour is active or something.

Well obviously needs to be buffed by letting Sanguine Alchemy work on it, and for Devour, whenever you have it active your vortex grenades turn into nova bombs
As devour is activated you gain ability regen or super regen .... but like good regen and for cataclysm activate bloom on melee kills that works like devour and blows everything up you kill in the timer... and super regen for bloom multi-kills
Devour buff: gain increase stability, reload speed, and handling while devour is active. Kills both heal and refresh duration.
Finally an actual reasonable response, everybody in the comments had insane ideas for devour lol. Maybe an increase in damage as well.
Can we all just take some time to appreciate that gladd called afk'ers "Scumbags" meanwhile he has abused multiple game breaking and op glitches to get huge advantages unlike forge afk'ers who either just want god rolls or you know be able to do the content without dying 50 times :D
Honestly I think the only way to make well viable, which would have a lore-appropriate reasoning, is to allow any guardian to self-Rez while in a well of radiance, and to get bonus ability recharge when in a rift
So first note, forge groups you by light level, get under 700 light level with a Halloween mask and the dreamers class item in leveling tab, as the mask is 0 LL and the class item is 21 LL
Well buff should be: holding super allows for regular dawnblade that never falls.
This would allow for promethium spur to benefit mid tree BC benevolent dawn.
Devour should just give me a nova bomb when I refresh it.
Devour should be able to one phase any past and future boss from raids and dungeons by third person peeking behind cover
Devour should instantly win you anything from a raid to a pvp trials match, also instantly give you every single thing you ever wanted from the game.

3 games in a row I had afk farmers in forge, me and my friend just left until we got someone actually playing
Im assuming you’re above 750 light, in that case just stay in the forge and get them kicked, a 2-man forge isn’t hard at all, I almost got the first half of a forge solo until I got teammates when I started with no teammates
Scrota, Sack of Oryx if they are doing it the way it should be done by being below light level 750, preferably 700 just to be extra sure, then it won’t pose a problem to other people that are actually trying to do the forges.

honestly well of radiance should give you 2 overshields since you're not invincible inside of it like with bubble and it should also auto reload your weapons and give you increased fire rate on all weapons and blind any enemies within line of sight of the well. I really feel like that's the buff well needs to compete with bottom tree stormcaller in the current pve meta.
Well warlock should have an alternatively super (similar to bubble Titan when you don't hold the super button) where you get OG radiance. (Not resurrect radiance, but honestly wouldn't mind it)

bring back self rez for middle tree Well :) bam insta buff. devour gets stacks up to 10 like roaring flames but instead of a damage buff it just makes the recovery that much faster. when you get to x10 you get a void overshield like the arc one on that exotic LMG.
In my opinion they should either increase the time of Warp or decrease the amount of energy is taken from warping
Devour should give you temporary Mountaintop, Recluse, and Anarchy for 90 seconds. If you move, reload, jump, throw a grenade, use your super, switch weapons, or do anything for that matter, your buff is extended by 90 additional seconds, along with 10000% damage to your novabomb. You also get bumped up to +1000 power of the recommended power level during the buff duration.
Well of radiance will give all fire team members Izanagi's Burden, Fourth Horseman, and Anarchy when standing inside of the well. This will also give all fireteam members the Traveler's chosen exotic after completing the activity if you previously stood inside of the well. Super regeneration is instant for everyone, and you get 1000000% additional drops for planetary materilals, glimmer, and any type of tokens when defeating enemies or completing activities.
Devour should just be a passive so while you have that tree on you are invincible and can never die because that’s fun
consuming your grenade instantly heals you and nearby allies and will refresh your melee ability well should just give a larger damage buff or getting a charged melee kill grants you and nearby allies an overshield for a brief period
Having kills while devour is active recharge all abilities would be nice

Devour should definitely increase your weapon range and max your handling/rate of fire.

I was doing forges for the exotic bow and fusion rifle and I kept getting match made with idiots that were to stupid to lower their power level before going afk.
0:25 its actually the 4th time (or reason) the first time was for the black armoury papers lore before it was i believe changed to require a successful forge (raises hand, im guilty of this one)

Tbh if Bungie Banned people who AFK Farmed the Forges than Theyd lose alot of Players who didn't even do that,because if they punish people for trying to keep up with the cruddy Power Creep System they have then I might legit ditch this game,because thats stupid. Banning Players who are AFKing because they dont have 12 hours a Day 5 Days a week for every week of the Year because they want to spend the time they play the game Playing Proper Content(Doing Crucible,Dungeons,Strikes,DLC/Seasonal stuff,etc.) instead of spending 90% of the time they have to play the Game just so they are at a high enough Number so they can attempt something then Im gone,because If Bungie gets to that point then this Game is beyond Redemption and so is Bungie.
Honestly I don't think streamers have a right to get angry at normal people going sub 750 and afk forging to up their power because I mean streamers play d2 all day because it's their job while other normal guys afk farm because they have real jobs and lives that aren't consumed by grinding a game. As someone who used to run Devour a ton as well as the other Void subclass back when there was only two, it's really sad to see it get beaten out by literally anything else. Thousand Cuts Hunter? Ten times better. I guess they should buff Devour to reload weapons as well, and as for Well of Radiance, I think it's pretty close to amazing as is, tho then again that's mostly due to the Exotic armor buffs it can receive.
KaptainKurt 1 in my opinion, I think devour and nova bomb is way better than thousand cuts hunter, and I think that nova will get a buff in September, hopefully.
the real problem is that a lot of people afk farm also with a light level over 750 so i can't do any forge. smh
