Your advice to read as a writer is essential. It is necessary to consider choice, always, line by line, and wonder what states of momentum the writer was following. There is so much foundation and craft required to elicit the unexpected, to make it feel inevitable, and to do so with brevity. You capture that consideration perfectly. I love how straightforward and practical your advice is throughout this video. Genuinely, great job with this one!
I greatly respect your work ethic. So often, there's the image of the "tortured artist" sitting around, waiting for inspiration to strike. If it does happen that way, that's great! But the reality is that if you're wanting to do any art professionally, you don't have that option. In the real world, there are deadlines to meet and contracts to honor. That sounds less romantic than the way creating art is usually portrayed. But that's the way it is. As long as you are working hard to make your art the very best it can be, that's what counts. EDIT: Oh, you have a day job too? Wow, even more respect!

I'm always impressed when I look at the acknowledgements of a book. Yes it is the authors' name on the front page but often there are many, many people who are thanked as having had some input. Looking forward to reading your novel in English. Are there any plans to translate your non-English books into English?
Oh yes, so many people are involved in the process, and they all deserve so much praise for their hard work. We can't do it alone. I hope they will sell the rights, but I can't promise my older works will ever be available in English. I do hope so. That would be lovely. :)

How do your colleagues react? • Do you maintain the same 500w/day pace during weekends and days off? • What’s your routine when you’re in the planning or editing stage, rather than the writing stage. Do you still maintain a rigourous, measurable daily pace?
Good questions. 1. My collegues don't seem to mind that I prefer to spend that hour alone. I always eat at my desk. 2. I try to keep the 500w, yes. If I want tomorrow off, I make sure to do 1000w today. 3. I sometimes need to make time to sit down and brainstorm. I allow myself to skip the 500 words if I have to plan. Editing comes after I finish the first draft - I try not to go back and change things.

This was very interesting. I understand that your new book will be in English, (and I'm excited to read it) but would it ever be possible to have your earlier fantasy books translated to English? I'd be really interested in reading those as well as fantasy is one of my favorite genres.
I have watched ton of your videos ma'am and I love them, your way of explaining But still I can't find a perfect video which has book recommendations for non native speaker like in india and a guide how to raise level It would be a huge help and would be very much appreciated if you put the effort of making that specific video. ( Books easy or moderate read but have profound thoughts) Thanks
