My favourite band in 2016 is 2 people doing product demos for a music store on youtube
very well said, I hope they will keep doing this forever.
Anthony Reinbach my biggest influence this year has been the Andertons music channel.
Seriously though, I learn more licks and chords just watching Pete play than I do actually studying licks and chords.
The10000lbGorilla lol me too. crazy isnt it?
Between Chappers, Bea, Pete, Mick Paul Hindmarsh, and all the product demo guys on this channel and Rob's, my playing has skyrocketed. Thanks, mates!(Nice 200,000 subs video, what about Lee's guitar recording from the summer? Love to hear that!)
How great would it be if they did an andertons guitar lesson segment?? Like where each andertons worker or just Pete and Mick would teach little things that they love to do on the guitar. Please Lee !!!
jake schleifer maybe each day we could have a different player do a short like 5 min video where they teach a lick or some chords
jake schleifer 10/10 would watch 100%
that would be amazing
Just like in the demos, Mick would claim all the others were better than him, but we'd all learn from Mick.
yea! they can do 2-in-1 videos by giving out lessons while at same time doing demos It'll be a lesson and demo all rolled in one
Do a series where Pete teaches Jazz chords
Crispito As Lee said, we need a Danish Pete's "All the best chords" book.
Yes please !
Pete just has chops for days! Such a tasteful player.
Seriously! My new guitar hero isn't on G3 or the cover of Guitar Player. It's joke-telling amazingly pocketed guitar player from Denmark now living in Surrey
Actually, Pete and his wife and kids have moved from Ripley down to my ancestral hometown of Frome, in east Somerset.
These are my favourite videos. you can tell Mick and Pete are digging the guitars by the way they play and just want to jam. Great work as always. Nice guitar tones and affordable too!
it always impresses me what a great range of different tones can be coaxed out of a single P90. A guitar with just 1 P90, whether it's in the bridge or neck position or anywhere in between, can teach you a lot about how your technique influences the resulting tone.
I can't recall ever seeing you two having so much fun demoing a guitar! Great tone you guys got, I'm sold!
Thanks, Mick & Pete for a another great video.
I have one that will never leave me as long as I'm around! I love it for roots rock & blues as well as sweet p-90 jazz tones.
I love the Crossroads jam. You guys really are so cool. It's so fantastic to hear your comments about the stuff.
These two guys keep me soooooo motivated. Great chops.
I studied with James in Brighton back in 2010 and I told him I would love that guitar...jeez what a time that was..
Been waiting for this episode since i saw the interview the captain Did with James Bay, and i gotta admit im Very impressed by the model! It looks and sounds great :)
MORE,MORE MORE like this yes please they complement each other so well
I just can't get over how good these guys sound together! They compliment each other so well, they each bring their own unique skills to the party and the fusion is just f**king awesome! Keep rocking guys. Btw I agree with the suggestion of a pair of D'Angelicos with Mick and Pete, best of all an extended session like maybe an hour?
The red 1966 sounds amazing!! Makes James Bay's Music sound like heaven (and he actually is a guitar genius) Thanks for the video guys
Beautiful, resonant, balanced tone ... gorgeous.
Ah - brilliant, gents - thanks. Loved the Crossroads jam - nice wee Clapton-esque licks from Mick, particularly the one at 16.42. Really nice, lively, acoustic sounding guitars. Great potted history of Epiphone too - a BBC documentary role beckons, surely! Good to see Mick more comfortable with the double-entendres now too - that's a critical part of Andertons TV!
"I went down to the crossroads, fell down on my knees".
Another class demo' cheers.
The Captain said: "When a guitarist is inspired by his tone, you can really hear it, and it makes a huge difference." Such an amazing review ^^
Danish Pete is a genius, and Mick can almost keep up. This was brilliant. Thank you.
I’ve been meaning meaning to post this for some time, when the guys play Crossroads on the Centuries that tone is just outrageous! Thanks for sharing your talents with us.
Absolutely awesome outro jam, you guys ROCK!!!
I'm just staring and bought a guitar on the strength of one of your reviews, That jam at the end was amazing. I want more of you guy's doing that sort of thing, Truly inspiring.
You guys rule. You may be my fave duo to watch.
Just snagged one of these amazingly cool guitars. Got the red model which is what I was hoping for although I would have had the sunburst if the right deal came up. What can I say which hasn’t been said!? I will say, I have had a few semis in the past, Epiphone Dots, Casinos, Riviera, Ibanez Artcores etc, I loved them all but mostly the bodies felt too large and I never hung on to them too long. The Riv stayed partly cos I upgraded the hell out of it. This new one feels like “the one” I have been looking for all these years, the neck is awesome, the body is perfect and the tone is to die for!! I love the finish too, no gloopy plastic finish on this guitar. I love it!!! Thanks to these two cool chaps too. I watched this video many times. Still can’t play like these two though :-/
I watched this video, and went out and bought one. Great purchase.
I just fell in love with that Guitar
They sounded even better driven. Those p90s seem to really make these special. Give the 335 a run for the money.
Iain Leslie I'm a tele guy but I really dig the sound of the p90s on these guitars. To your point, at that price you almost can't go wrong..
Cat Vomit the same from me, allways be a tele guy but this bangs me off!! Great for all! Jazz to stoner
Theres always something Magical about a Semi Hollow + P-90 combination. It has a bassy, airy quality that you don't get from any other guitar.
@@spacejazz6272 FULL HOLLOW!
Absolutely brilliant you two are by far the best two on not only Andertons but also RUclips that jam at the end was awesome you clearly loved playing those guitars no pretending they're good just to sell them.Barvo
I love the neck profile on these. fantastic instruments
These are amazing guitars. I play mine through a blackstar ht1R at home and that is all you need. The P90 is incredible!
Great video, guys! You showed that this simple basic guitar can go from sweet to nasty and everywhere in between. I bought one I love it! Blues, jazz, rock, and rock-a-billy does it all.
Mick's tone around 16:00, for that high gain jam, is wonderful. Great guitars and great playing.
These are some of the best jams yall have done.
Found this Paradiso vid that I hadn't seen before. So I put on my cheapest, gaudiest Hawaiian shirt and settled in for a treat.
Wow! Pete and Mick sounded great on these Epi Century '66 guitars. Unbelievable jams and great show of the hollow body versatility.
I have the Epi ES 335 and I didn't even know these exsisted until today. I'm gonna be hard pressed to keep from buying one. Lord knows it deserves to be in everyone's living room.
Oh wow, this is the first video in a while that made me think: I want this guitar! You guys rock!
Love that playing, especially the intro.
I believe these guitars are ultimately based on the Gibson ES-125T, a copy of which, made in Kalamazoo and renamed for Epiphone as Century, was their progenitor. I have an original 1965 ES-125T myself, my first really good guitar, which I got second hand in 1965. Played my first gigs with it, all through high school. I will never part with it under any circumstances.
I had to hear the openning jam kindda hundred times for it was amazing! Well done gents!
Rock on! Great episode. Love the tone.
Always get excited when I see you two reviewing a guitar. Always makes me know if I want one or not. I want one 🖒
I have wanted one of these ever since Epiphone announced them!
What epic outro! That feedback rocked for an ending!
Now THAT'S what I call a review. Wow! Great job again guys.
TOTALLY AWESOME & BRILLIANT JAMMING GUYS! Man alive I gotta get me one of these babies. (even tho I can't play like that...)
You guys are both so chill and cool and I love how you both have your own definite playing styles...sort of like lee and chappers but different in a good way :D
That end jam....I want one!
it´s so nice to see two people enjoying so mudh
Totally need this guitar in my life rn
Wow, sounds amazing with some gain!
These 2 are bloody good !!
.....something borrowed, something blue....
They sound great!
Pete.
Beaut of a guitar. The intro was killer!
Looks great. Sounds great!!
Nice jamming guys! Fun session, it seems.
Interesting point pete made about the Fender hot rod versus the Marshall. I'll listen more closely again. Great video, thanks again
I feel like this guitar would benefit form a treble booster.
Great playing as always, gentlemen.
Well done guys !!! You showed what is actually different and good - Yes !!
Nice demos and great guitar. Don't think full jazz boxes are much in demand, but it's great to see some more generalist hollow bodies. Would be nice to see more.
13:00. That alone has got me seriously thinking about selling my Epiphone PR7E (Howard Roberts without pick ups) and getting the cherry 66. Fantastic jamming fellas!
I've waited so hard for this, hell yeah!
There is nothing like the sound of an overdriven P90 in the neck position!! It is a flavor all it's own. In fact, I would go so far as to say, there are several songs from the 70's that unless you have a P90 in the neck position, you absolutely can't play it correctly. Great job guys. I have an opportunity to get the James Bay signature pack from Epiphone right now at half price. $550 or somewhere close. Was considering picking one up and just putting it away for a couple of decades next to my 2015 Midtown Gibson. I have an air conditioned closet with humidity control back at my sister's house. They use it for some very old ancient leather goods that had been passed down for about 8-9 generations going back to the mountain mad days. Plenty of room in it for another guitar.... Bob in Germany
That right there was some damn good jamming. Good Job!
You gentlemen played the hell out of these epiphones!!!!
I've just been offered one of these in a trade and I must say, I'm really surprised at just how awesome they sounded. :)
I would love one of these for slide!
Tell you something, Pete is one heck of a player but hey, Mick is definitely no slouch either. Two nice and knowledgeable guys!
Really impressed with this guitar. Interested to know what kind of work was done on these out of the box, if any (new strings, intonation, fret work). My experience is that these Epiphones need a good setup first. Thanks guys!
Very very cool guys!!
Not a thing wrong with the humbucker, but the P90 is just a beautiful matchup with the Century body. The thing is, though, you guys can make anything sound amazing. People debate about nut materials, woods, neck connections, etc. Sure, that stuff makes some difference, but you guys prove unequivocally that 95% of it is what the man can get out of what he has in his hands.
Enjoyable demo. Merci. Epiphone is making some groovy guitars.
Well you guys just sold me on another Epiphone lol Thank you!!!!
Awesome jam and tones!
That outro was beyond cool
'Want more like this?' YES PLEASE
That is possibly the best jam of the year.
One of my goals in life is to play 1/10 as good as Danish Pete! And if I reach it...I'll die happy.
I'd Love to Hear some Malcolm Young acdc Jams with that guitar.. ;) simply because of the raw tone when you crank it.. I saw acdc live in sanfran w my dad.. it was awesome
gave those guitars a good schooling well played fellas
the last jam~~~~god damn!!!
Sound Like James Bay coming???
I think they did a vid with him a week or two ago.
Wow how time flies. I see some from 6 months ago!
Hey guys. I think I found a video of Jeremy Spencer playing one of those in Paris NYE 1969. Could you have another go at this video of yours with the century tuned to "E" and see what you can do.
I just bought mine yesterday and love it.... changed the strings with a unwound 3rd 10 to 45 and sounds great and more playable... to me. I just do not like the plastic nut which I will change at some point.
what adjustments if any were made to the guitars before this excellent playing?
Maaaan that outtro jam was tasty!
The wooden bridge and the placement of the P90 must contribute to the fact that this guitar sounds very different from a Casino, or 330 for instance. I really like these guitars. I can imagine using one with a heavy set of flatwounds to play slide on with the tone knob rolled down a little. Aaah..., if I could only play slide (I suck at it).
A bit off topic, but am I the only one who would kill for a Gibson ES-150? Epiphone could have some sort of a go on that.
I know Mick said these have an Ebony boards but it looks like Rosewood to me & it's got that nice uniform dark colour like you see on the best of the old Gibsons/Epiphone's, in fact these boards look better than the ones on their ridiculously priced custom shop/collectors choice examples, WTF man ?,,,,,,,,,, anyway, these 66''s look & sound great imho, tasty playing as always by Mick & Pete, Peace.
Holy shit! Nice jam at the start!
this was freakin AWESOME!
More than the sound or look of these, I really desperately want one purely on the strength that they have a dot inlay marker on the first fret.
would it be crazy if I wanted to put a strong fuzz, like the swollen pickle for example, in this signal chain with this guitar while it's running into a fender deluxe reissue?
Sounds GREAT, now I want one! Just add a Bigsby, change out the pickup to a 50s wind Lollar P90, and you’re good to go. Even jazzier! Could maybe even do a bit of rockabilly with it! Love watching you 2 guys play clean sounds, no maniacal shite with harmonics, and always speed metal :-(
Going to look for one right away. Hopefully Epi doen’t do like they always do, and discontinue everything I like! Would order a shirt as well, but learned you don’t stock them for us big guys in TX, in 3XL! HA!
I think the P90 PRO is so called simply to elevate it above their "standard" P90. Supposed to be an exact replica of Seth Lover's original using the same materials, winding etc.. I have an Epi Blueshawk which has the same pickups and I love 'em. Mine are noiseless because it has a dummy coil, which these Century models do not have.
Awesome in so many ways. One thing you guys forgot to mention is that it has a longer scale length compared to regular Gibson or Epiphone
17:45 HAHA - Pete's reaction was exactly the same as mine.
Can you guys please do a video about audio interfaces you can plug into your iPad? Thank you, and great playing as always!
Great video!
I don't know if its the amps or the set up, but these guitars sound great!
Sweet Jesus!!! That end bit!!!
Awesome guitar and great video. You'll definitely have some buyers after that. Would love to see some more in depth videos on companies like Reverend, PRS, Hagstrom, Godin, D'Angelico, Guild, Seagull, etc. There is barely any content regarding most of these companies and as far as I'm concerned they are putting out better stuff then their competition because you aren't paying for the name on the headstock. Some people don't like change and that's fine I suppose, but I would love to see more in depth content for the people that do.
Curious on what chord progression they're playing to in the beginning. Anyone have any idea?
