I'm watching this with my 5 months old boy in my arms, my hands itching to try it, but it will have to wait 😁. That's the effect Felix's videos have on me, they make me want to try out myself whatever project he works on at that moment. And once I hear his trademark "Hello RUclips!", I instantly smile because I know something good will follow. Thank you, Felix, for everything you do! Peace out from Romania 🗡️

Hello Felix I’m enjoying your videos very much. There is good humour as well as good skill tips. I think “enough blah blah let’s get on with the work” is a great catch phrase for you. There’s something about the way you say it and the current zeitgeist that gives it more layers of meaning. Anyway it made me laugh 😆 Thank you for your videos.

Wood carvers who make and sell cups to others not wanting to make their own is one thing. Making one in the forest you are camping in is another story. Making your own is much more special than one you buy. That’s point so called experts seem to forget. You proved this point quite easily.🎇👏🎇🍻

That scorp is sharp. The one i bought from amazon doesn’t even make a dent in the wood. It just slowly scrapes the wood where it’s powdery and doesn’t even make shavings like your scorp does.

Hallo, Felix!

@@siegfriedwashburn3484 I lived in Cyprus and Lebanon from 1961 to 1964. But, never visited Israel. I wanted to take my wife on a once in a lifetime visit to Israel but waited too long. She is in the final stage of Alzheimer's. Can a man fall in love and stay in love with a woman being a paranoid schizophrenic, for over 47 years? Yes! And she was a higher level genius IQ. My weakness is super intelligent women! I have given thought to buying a winter home in Haifa, up high, facing the Mediterranean Sea. I probably have 30 to thirty-five years of life left in me. Maybe one day I will visit. I'm too conservative to live in Israel. But, first Switzerland and the professor himself, the Genius Felix Immler! I would have to meet him and take his family out to dinner a few times! Switzerland does not know the they have in him! Japan, my birthplace, has "Living Treasures" of the master of the masters of their various crafts and arts. Switzerland needs to do the same: having Mr. Felix Immler as one if them. His craft? His art? Mechanical and instructional genius! If I were in combat, I would rather face a company of Russian commandos with only my barehands than armed with a match grade Remington 700 in 7.62 NATO facing "Field Martial" Felix Immler armed with a Victorinox Swiss Army Knife! It would be over for me fast! And he would have courtesy to carve my name into the wooden cross marking my grave. Lol! A platoon of men like Felix Immler only armed with Victorinox Swiss Army Knives could subdue the World! Or bring about World Peace! Why hasn't he received the Nobel Peace Prize? That is the question needing to be answered! Enjoy fully your trip to Israel. May God bless you and your group.

I just use the wood that I find too. I haven't made a bowl yet, but I've made a spoon, a knife, and even a really shitty fork. I wonder if fir becomes a problem when it dries due to cracking. The handle on my knife started cracking at the bottom a little, but it was made out of willow. Those were just the majority of trees in the area. I don't know if a bowl from the same tree would crack but I will probably at least try it.
