He also sang on Shadows and Mistakes. They started recording the album around March 2013 if not a bit earlier. Kyle didn't leave the band until October 2013. I highly doubt Shots Fired is about Kyle. Considering that he left the band so he could be with his new born baby and his wife, it would be incredibly disrespectful of David to do such a thing.
