Great video. Massive amount of knowledge and information, those yamaha engineers don't make it easy but what a fantastic guide. Thank you for taking the time to make this video.
Your a legand! Thank you for this video. As I am overhauling my engine this is helping on the disassembly. My Vmax motor is in a 93 Venture royal that my pops and I swapped in 2008. Thankfully ive only found Im needing a valve job. Measured the cylinder walls and they have minimal wear only .0002-.0005. I'll get a gasket kit and lap the valves and throw it back together. Thanks once again!
You are a God send. I don't know what I would do without my bike, it's the only thing I have left and the only thing that has kept me from disintegrating these past few years and I wouldn't have gotten it running again without You. Thank You. (I wish I would've found it before the first two builds) God bless dear Damon. You are badass.
Mil gracias por tan maravilloso video, soy mecánico y hace meses me había llegado al taller una v-Max 1200 modelo 91. Daño el cigüeñal, si no hubiera sido por estos dos videos, hubiese sido muy complicado todo. Muchas gracias! Saludos desde Medellín Colombia! Un abrazo y nuevamente muchas gracias
Mil gracias por tan maravillosos videos, me has ayudado mucho. Tengo un talller, me llegó una v-Max 1200 modelo 91, daño el cigüeñal y si no hubiera sido por este par de videos estuviera muy complicado armar el motor. Mil gracias! Saludos desde Medellín Colombia! Un abrazo!
Great Video! Currently attempting to review a new-to-me motor with 25k on it. I wanted to ask if you would be able to share the grade and dimensions of the bar stock used and thread all. I was able to find Grade B7 thread-all which I believe can handle the load but I'm unsure of the lenth used in the video. any assistance would be appreciated.
All that varies with skill set and understanding of mechanics. The parts also vary where you buy and what is paid . Hard to just say it should take 8 to 16 hours, money paid is up to you.

How many hrs to rebuild this engine and what is the cost for the parts

Is it normal to have any play in the clutch basket like a foul bearing.
Great video by the way
