I was playing golf in Alameda that day..bout 1/2 mile away..you could see the Coliseum..and boy could ya feel the thumping ..every time I went to putt. The ball starting boping up n down...😂
Wish they had a cd of entire concert fantastic! Ahh i was a freshman in high school 80s rock was excellent! Miss hairbands! And my rock jerseys shirts back then!
I was in attendance by chance that day and i worked with someone later in life who was there and one thing we both remembered was mr malmesteen dropping his pick oops 😂
Would love to see Yngwie's "Rising Force" off of the flyer shown... I was lucky enough to see Yngwie in Austin, Texas a year after this gig for the "Trilogy" tour... Thanks for the upload. Loved Invasion Of Privacy. Learned "Lay It Down" on guitar after it came out. 🔥🎸🔥
People have to remember THIS IS A LIVE SHOW and mistakes are made. His voice sounds good...what are expecting rob from jp , dio or what its Fucking RATT N ROLL TO ME. ....thanks for sharing
Thanks for posting this , great memories at this show . Ratt for me was at the bottom of the peformances that day though I did prefer them over Victory . Ratt put on a much better show when they came back to the Cow Palace in December that year
its a shame video footage of these concerts are either not made available or do not exist. there are "rumors" that a devastating fire destroyed many of the Bill Graham Productions library of concerts on film and audio.
Bill Graham or MTV should have footage. Scorpions full concert is on you tube from this show!! N Sharon Osbourne has Randy Rhoads on video up the ying yang without release.
To this day, no one will apparently tell Juan that he does not have Michael Anthony’s falsetto so for the love of gawd, JUST STOP. The rest of the band (as usual) sounds killer !! 🤘🏻
Unfortunately there are no DVDs from Ratt concerts, very little was ever recorded from them. For some amateur footage you can visit Metalmaster101 channel or they have professional portions of concerts live in Japan 1989 and the rock palace 1984 which are both on RUclips
Bobby blotzer is off time on this. Sounds horrible. I was there and was a huge Ratt fan at the time. I remember being disappointed. I was 12 and had already been to a lot of shows. They were definitely off and I had no desire to see them again. But Metallica blew my mind, August 31 1985 is the day that I fell in love with thrash metal
They discussed the inconsistency of their live shows in the VH1 Behind the music documentary. Basically came down to how much booze and drugs they did the night before. As a fan who pays money for their albums and tickets that's frustrating, but I can't say that all of us bring our A game to the office every day.
I was there. Aug 31st, 1985. The hottest day and the closing of summer. What a Day on the Green!!!
Any 80's Ratt is always a great great thing.

Thanks so much for sharing this. It's too bad the band never released an official live album from this tour.
Wish they had a cd of entire concert fantastic! Ahh i was a freshman in high school 80s rock was excellent! Miss hairbands! And my rock jerseys shirts back then!
Awesome!
It would be even more awesome if there was a video recording of the gig.
Thanks for sharing.
Cheers;

Stephen still has the best voice of the 80s. I know I know.

Spot on!
I was there.
You're in love... Oops Lay it down! Oh Stephen!

Yeah I suppose the iconic performance from this show was Metallica
I was there that day and Metallica was definitely the best, especially with Cliff Burton (RIP) on the bass. 🤙🏼 thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for sharing! God bless all the ratt n rollers! Jesus saves sinners!
I don't smoke pot, but I did that day right before Ratt came on. Holy shit I was loaded!!!!! Ratt helped me get through my trip 😂🤣😅

Do you have rest of bands recorded was there! Scorps yngwie metallica be great too!

@@80sMetalHead I do think Michael Anthony is the better backing vocalist but I also like juan
Ratt n roll
Went to that show ,liked Ratt 🐁the best, but scorps 🦂 were at the top of their game.
can you get other recordings and videos from this concert??? i was there ! love to see y n t !
Recordings from this concert are very hard to come by, but if anything ever comes up I’ll be sure to post it!
I have a bootleg of the yngwie show from day one the green. No idea about Y&T, but Y&T bootlegs are hard to come by in the first place.
Anyone happen to know where I could find live footage of "Day on the Green" 85' other then Metallica though.
Hard to find audio from this concert.
They’re really pushing some of the tempos, but they sound good. Such a regret as to how they ended up, would love to have heard them live.
Lol 10:27. Announces the wrong song! lmao
Where can l get a full concert DVD?

Saw Ratt twice in the mid 80's. Without a doubt the worst sounding live band I ever heard.
I think it was a hit or miss if they were going to be any good, it was very hard for Stephen to make his voice sound like it did on the record live
